Eveey time i have frequented here, food and service has been fantastic and it is always busy. The cappuccino is great and you get chips with the panninis, which is definitely tip top in my opinion. Prices are veey reasonable. Please don't listen to the bad reviews. I definitely recommend this cafe.

A fab cafe! Called in whilst on a bike ride with my husband. He had been before but I hadn’t. Initially we only intended having a drink but ended up having food too. Don’t be put off by any negative reviews - it was great. The food was tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced. We didn’t try them but the cakes looked insane! Very popular with bikers which is a good sign food wise. Great little place

This place used to be my favoured stop off but it has really gone down hill. Myself, my wife, and our 8yr old son called in for brunch on our way to England and the woman behind the counter was incredibly brusque to the point of rudeness. There was no greeting and we got the feeling that we were just an inconvenience. She was highly impatient when discussing our menu options - I'm hard of hearing (too many years on a bike) not stupid and she spoke to me like an idiot, She was generally unpleasant. The waitress was just as prickly and we all felt unwelcome. Sadly the food we ordered didn't compensate for the unfriendly atmosphere - fatty bacon, cheap, tasteless sausages, weak tea etc. We will not rush back.

Okay food. Okay prices. Bad service. The woman who works behind the counter is very rude and abrupt. Completely put me off ever going back. Place would be better off without her. I also heard the table next to us mentioning the same thing. Tap water also tasted like it came from stream outside. The young lad rhat served our table slam.ed all plates down, then pucked a butter off the floor and put in my friends toast. Finally, £2 for a slice of toast is a joke.

Went to wash my horses rugs in the washing machines, the machine stopped working. We travelled to ask male member of staff for help and he was anything but helpful. Female member of staff then became aggressive and then began holding a conversation behind my back with another member of staff, rude, unhelpful staff with no manners. Will never use the service again.

An incredibly miserable older woman who should not be working in customer service was extremely rude to me. Without asking me nicely or saying it in a more calmer tone she snapped at me to take me dog outside. She could of said hello first! I said of course that's not a problem I had actually asked if my dog was allowed I just needed to get the WiFi code. She snapped at me again, I had asked twice for the WiFi code and she didn't answer me so I took a photo of the code on the wall and sat back outside. She told me they were closing now anyway, I had only just sat down with my cup of tea! I have never been spoken to or felt like that in a cafe before. I didn't feel comfortable staying even though I was outside on my own so I left, such a shame. I work in customer service myself and even on days where I have found it incredibly hard putting on a happy face for the general public I have never spoken to anyone like that, I'm really shocked. I left feeling quite upset. Clearly a very unhappy person who needs to consider a different job for herself! I have to mention the lovely younger lady who served me my tea she was polite and happy to serve me thank you.

Great cafe open 7 days a week from 8am. Sadly no gluten free options so all I had was a cup of tea. After asking about gluten free I was told they sold stuff in the garage shop next door! Then they put a biscuit on the saucer of the tea I ordered. Sadly can’t return if there is nothing I can eat. More training needed for staff and a more inclusive menu.

This is a review of the garage - not the cafe. Having just spent over £50 in her shop, the female owner was extremely rude, miserable and unhelpful. I was snapped at, and spoken to as though I was a piece of dirt. Never mind 'customer care' - just a complete lack of basic courtesy. Will be avoiding and using other garage in the village for my fuel.

To be honest, I cant fault Glanusk Cafe for serving up a really tasty cooked breakfast in double-quick time. Vegetarian alternative was great and the option of mini versions was very welcome. A nice, clean, modern cafe with great service and the promise of lunch dishes that I am sure would be equally spot on.

Everything okay but Staff really need to gem up on gluten-free options I’m getting so tired of trying to eat out and there’s no excuse nowadays (so many people have intolerances and allergies).. you really do need to look at what you’re providing Top marks tho for providing oat milk for those who don’t like milk and for toasting the bread I gave you from my own shopping bag - but low marks for the fact you brought it out with hashbrowns and a slice of normal fried bread!! (So proving my point!)

Called at the this cafe as its usually a very good choice of place to have a quick bite to eat. However on this occasion all social distancing measures and mask wearing as its mandatory in hospitality in Wales have now been thrown out of the window, the staff wore masks under thier chins and there were at least 10 people queing by the till with no masks or Social distancing it was like being somewhere were there was no pandemic going on. The people that were wearing masks were in the minority here and there were no challenges from the staff employed at the cafe either. I would give this place a miss if you value your health,

We pulled in here as my friend was desperate for the loo 🚻 and we thought we'd have a coffee ☕. We ended up having a full meal which was well cooked and great value. Of course it's not high end dining but more than acceptable Highly recommended

I called into this establishment with a group of friends whilst travelling through the area. I was very surprised at the value for money that was on offer. The service was good and the staff were friendly. The food was very quickly supplied and was hot and filling. I will definitely be visiting here again.

Visited twice on the same day for coffee and cake and a sit down. Good place to catch up over coffee and do some work without feeling rushed to give up your table. Plenty of seating and cafe is part of a petrol station and convenience store, which means you can fill up on all necessities before you leave the site. Great find in the area so do try it

Passed through on my way into the Welsh mountains - full of locals, outdoor adventure types and other interesting characters with great home cooked food and friendly staff. A little slice of British Columbia in the Brecon Beacons! Fab little place.

Brilliant breakfast, served quickly, not greasy and so tasty, lovely service. Very reasonably priced as well.

Popped in on the way home after an early morning walk in the Beacons & it was very busy with cyclists & families. We managed to get a table inside as the staff were clearing & buzzing around like bees. The menu was really good & very well priced but we both had to go for the big breakfast at £5:95 including tea or coffee. We opted for the tea which came in a large pot which was enough for 2 cups each. The breakfast itself was fantastic & really hit the spot after the long walk. Will definitely return when we are that side of the Beacons. Big thank you to the staff who were so efficient as it was very busy but managed to keep things ticking over.

This is my revisit, my first visit which was disappointing in service and food quality. I am glad to say both have greatly improved since then, they also now allow you to mix and match a few items which is great as we all don't want greasy fried bread! Today service was quick and efficient and the cafe was clean, breakfast was freshly made and piping hot costing £5.95 which is good value.

First time at the Cafe menu was ok food was average in that with just a little bit more care or interest from the staff it could easily achieve 5 stars not three. So in we go the young men serving they looked as if they were there under the pain of death not a please or thankyou or even a grin.

I run a motorcycle training school in Cardiff and we often get up to Sennybridge and take a break.There is plenty of free parking on site and the cafe is incorporated into a petrol station and well stocked shop.The cafe staff have, in the passed given a welcome which was more of a 'business' rather than a warm welcome.But on this occasion the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food is freshly prepared and always good quality.The cafe can get busy at times (which is always a good sign), there is an outside, partially covered seating area if the cafe is full.A good stop for anyone travelling along the A40.

Was riding my bike from Aberystwyth back to Bristol, travelling light and needed a food stop. Londis Glanusk Services loomed into view on the left. Though tidy looking this didn't appeal so rode on into Sennybridge, the pubs were shut and I couldn't see anywhere else that looked inviting, so retraced my steps. Vey welcoming and ordered a steak and kidney pie and chips. This turned out to be the last portion they had and was steak and pudding and chips. But it was really excellent, plenty of it, great tasting and gave me a sound base for the next 70 miles. The cafe here looks pretty cloned (services style) but the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was really excellent, better than any of the other services that I have visited and all the facilites were clean and welcoming. So its not about atmosphere, but if you need a break on your journey and want some excellent reasonably priced well prepared tasty food then this is a good place to stop. There is also a garage with full fuel and servicing, oil water air etc. And on top of that there is a great small Londis with everything that a Supermarket local normally carries too. I needed food and this little cafe was brilliant, next time I won't ride by I will plan it into my route and recommend it to all my friends. A noteable great little find on a very long triip

On route home needed to stop for ablutions and top up. I have passed this cafe loads of times whilst working as a courier but never stopped. Only if I had known. The car park was nearly full which is always a good sign. The service was friendly and efficient. Ordered a bacon sandwich, cup of tea and a refill of my Starbucks mug with a latte. All pipping hot and tasty. Unfortunate for me whilst sipping my tea I noticed home made cakes and cheesecake beckoning me from under their counter, as usual I lapsed and purchased some fresh homemade blackberry and blueberry cheesecake to takeaway for my supper. A pleasant lunch, good quality cup of tea & coffee. Still yet to try the cheesecake but it looks so gorgeous, all in all, a good priced lunch with friendly and helpful staff. Yes it is a squaddie cafe but they have a eye for whats best so its a great place to eat. I cant remember if the cafe was there when I was at the camp back in the late 70's or early 80's. Its a thumbs up for me and I'll stop if I am passing again.

We pass here at least once a month when travelling to Brecon and today we stopped for lunch. The car park was like a 'free for all' with several cars coming and going at once. We were lucky to find a space - there was also a queue behind us. Once inside, we also queued for about 5 minutes to order our food. We had no problem finding a table. When the food came it was hot and was very good. The coffee was also excellent. This cafe is well worth a visit but beware of the car park!

Great value breakfasts and teas - squaddie favourite as respite from main camp. Staff excellent wifi - a rarity in this part of the world. Outside and inside and excellent general stores. Check out the magazine selection! Never seen some of them before.

We have called in for a meal a number of times and always enjoy our lunch. We had been out for a run and decided to head in this direction for our lunch. Although it was bank holiday it was not as busy as we anticipated, although we didn't get there till 1.30. Orders are placed at the bar and brought to the table by the young waiters. I had ham salad which was very good and not just the usual tomato, lettuce and cucumber but had coleslaw, red and green peppers and beetroot, my husband had the home made steak and ale pie and chips. All the home made food is so good. I was able to have a Twinings fruit tea, this is not always available in other cafes/restaurants, so I was pleased to have a change from coffee as a hot drink. Will certainly be back.

I often stop here for a coffee or lunch as I'm riding around South & Mid Wales. The village is at the nexus of several roads so makes a great place to meet for a ride, or as I usually do, have a coffee with friends before going in different directions home. Plenty of parking, petrol, cashpoint & shop on site as well as the very good cafe. Coffee served here is barista style and a decent blend. Cakes are nice and generous portions. The cafe is busy with bikers and a lot of soldiers from the nearby training camp. The eye candy is very nice if people (mostly male) in uniform are your thing. I prefer this cafe to the more popular one with bikers in Llandovery. The coffee is better and then there are the uniforms...

So this is a good stop off for any traveller.A free car park adjoins the cafe.Good, freshly prepared food and quality coffee is standard here.Never disappointed. Bacon sandwiches, Breakfast, tea cakes and set hot lunches all freshly prepared and well served.The staff give a welcome that is more efficient than warm and welcoming, but the service is prompt. It is a popular place so it can get busy. If the weather is fine there is an outdoor seating area, but the cafe can get a bit cramped if it's raining! The toilets are clean and well maintained, which is always a positive.Good solid, sturdy wooden tables and chairs give it the feel of a farmhouse kitchen.Quite often I call there with a group of riders and they are well able to deal with a group order, again with no delay.Good food and prompt service. But more efficient than friendly. We'll worth a visit.

Having discovered that on a Tuesday Sennybridge is some what of a ghost town for food, we discovered the Glanusk Cafe. Great selection of food and fantastic service. Worth stopping if your feeling peckish.

I have called at this Cafe many times over the years, and always impressed by the high quality of freshly cooked food served. You order and pay at the counter, the food is presented with a warm friendly service.A wonderful choice of items, and the ingredients are always of the best quality. Today, my wife and I had a Breakfast and Egg, beans and chips.....as can be seen by the attached images, they looked and tasted very good indeed. I've never been disappointed when I've called for food, and happy to call again many times in the future.

A visit to the Glanusk Cafe in Sennybridge Brecon is a MUST. No matter what you order from the menu or special board you will receive brilliant, piping hot food. The establishment is very clean, staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend this Cafe.

Stopped for lunch twice in the last two weeks as we were passing. Great place, nice friendly staff, spotlessly clean, good food, especially the 'Home cooked' items and value for money. Nice seasonal touches Christmas decs, Crackers on the table and a tiny homemade Welsh cake free with our cup of tea. Not Cordon Blue menu but who wants it for a working lunch! We will be back

This cafe is just down the road from where we live but we often treat ourselves to the delicious breakfasts they serve. The bacon is out of this world. You can have various sizes and combinations for a very reasonable price. The food is always tasty,hot and quick. The selection of other choices of food is quite extensive for a reasonably small cafe.The staff whilst mostly young are pleasant and professional and deserve praise for the hard work they do as this place is always packed full of customers

We often stop here on route to and from Hereford to west wales. Always a great stop and very reasonable - food served quickly and piping hot. It is what it is - good food served quickly at a great price. well done.

I travel down to wales from the midlands a few times a year to visit family after visiting here a number of years ago I now always stop en route here they are always friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.It is always clean and tidy the food is delicious and reasonably priced.Highly recommend this cafe/services

Disappointing lunch at this cafe where I have stopped many times for breakfast fayre. Today I had steak sandwich which was cooked well but quite grissly, the salad accompaniment appeared s to have been prepared the day before or simply left out and not chilled as the lettuce limp and the cucumber dried out. Partner had cheeseburger & chips, his chips were fresh and tasty, the burger however was of low quality and wouldnt be recommended. Young waiting staff are smily and pleasant, when I made comment to the chef about our food, he did apologise but no offer was made to refresh my meal (or refund) which was a shame considering I hadn't eaten it. As my title says breakfast is good here, can't comment on all their food but the dishes I had today were not great.

Stopped here for lunch whilst passing through on our way to LLandeilo. The food was excellent and well presented. The staff were very young and a little disorganised when taking the order but the the place was very busy, so they are a victims of their own success really. Apart from that we were well rewarded for a chance visit and would happily recommend this cafe to anybody. The variety of food on offer would suit most people.

Under staffed with only two ladies working a friend and I waited 30 mins for a roll, when the food arrived it was to a good standard,

6 of us go every Tuesday for their special rate of 5.95 for two courses including cup of tea. The portions are a little smaller but perfect for our smaller appetites. The staff are good and we look forward to meeting each week

Petrol prices were good, on par with prices in Kent, well stocked shop with good café experience - staff were very friendly with good range of faye on offer.

We use Glanusk on a regular basis when out with South Wales Bikesafe.Excellent service and food. The cafe is always busy, which speaks volumes for the quality of the food. Often see locals visiting for their Sunday lunch. Beats cooking at home.

The first time we stopped at the Glanusk Cafe we were on a motorcycle as we were told it was a great stop for food. We have since called several times, also in a car, as we find the choice of food excellent, especially the large breakfast.The staff are very pleasant and efficient at serving the meals quickly. There is a large sitting area outside where you can also eat ,when we eventually get warm days.There is a convenient store attached which also sells home made cakes...yumyum. Give it a try, you won't be dissapointed.

Very good breakfasts and a good value for money normal menu but it is a garage cafe so the outlook is the A40. If you are hungry and don't mind being beside the A40 this is a really good place to catch breakfast or lunch

Whenever we're in the area (usually a Sunday en route to Trecastle Antiques centre!) it's become routine to stop at the Glanusk Cafe for a bite to eat. There is always a good selection of homemade mains (steak and ale pie, home cooked ham, curry etc) as well as the usual breakfast choices (also very good) and some tempting home made cakes/dessertsUsually full of Sunday bikers, this place is certainly very popular and often very busy but service is surprisingly quick and efficient. Definitely worth a visit

Had breakfasts on two consecutive mornings while camping nearby and fly fishing the Usk. The full breakfast was good value at GBP 5.25 including tea or coffee.
