Amazing service by a polite young lady. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Good Americano coffee too. Will return.

Best place in town for breakfast. Super fast service, amazing food, cheap cheap cheap. Just absolutely love it there always my first choice when in need of a full English.

Spotted this place when driving thru Bangor, so popped in for a breakfast, nice and hot, full plate of very tasty food, very friendly service too, highly recommend!

I had a good old fry-up of eggs, sausages, mushrooms, toast, tomatoes, and a mug of tea. The ingredients were cheap but sadly the prices are too high for you get for your money.

Absolutely appalling breakfast! £11 for cheap sausages, cremated thin bacon, cheap & nasty beans that was runny & hard, fried bread was overcooked & hard, black pudding dripping in oil 🤮Came here years ago & it was the best breakfast around, such a shame. Will not be returning!

So sorry to say that this place seemed full of promise to begin with and had an extensive and varied menu. This was all to come crumbling down when the food arrived. Cheap quality ingredients and, maybe just as well, SMALL portions. A mixed grill swimming in a sea of beans( the cheapest kind) and club sandwiches served on Smart Price ,cheap, pappy white bread. Lovely girl behind the counter but other than that OVERPRICED AND POOR QUALITY AND VALUE. Sorry guys you need to up your game.

Wanted to visit for years, first time today. Fiance had the 7 dwadly sins, i had a sausage, egg and black pudidng bap. Food really hit the spot. Proper greasy spoon cafe. Rather expensive i thought but tasty

Popped in for a quick dinner , egg & chips twice & a cheese jack potato washed down with 2 mugs of coffee & a tea. The food wood not win “master chef Bangor” frozen chips not homemade , and they weren’t hot , the jacket was ok but the meal was as grey as the weather. Catering for the university students , following COVID requirements but in the kitchen wearing a mask but not wearing gloves. It was a experience..........not a memorable one .

Wanted somewhere cheap for hungover breakfast, this seemed to fit the bill. Got more than I payed for with the service, really friendly young staff (tall girl with long blonde hair) and made my sunny side up just how I like it. I'll be back!!

Came here for a breakfast after a night out and I am so glad we chose here rather than spoons! Maya, Was absolutely amazing and cooked everything to perfection and even made my bacon extra crispy on request! The breakfast it’s self was phenomenal and very tasty. 10/10 would definitely visit again.

Came here for breakfast with my ex. Got served by a boy with blonde hair and a tall blonde girl who was ginger (ish) who looked like a vegan. They were both lovely and smiley but my coffee wasn’t super hot. Girl super friendly and helpful but she walked around in circles for a bit with my breakfast as she couldn’t see me and boy had to show her where to put food. Funny though. Delicious food, music good , atmosphere good. Staff fun. Good day

To start off the smell as you go in is off putting, I’m aware that it is a greasy spoon however the dinning area shouldn’t smell like that. From then we should’ve just turned around and tried somewhere else but we decided to give it a second chance. The menu bored was a mess, it did not look professional at all and looked like a 12 year old school poster. Prices aren’t student prices either although it’s in the heart of a student location. Anyway ,we decided to go for two large and a mooshake. The service by the young girl was terrible, she did not smile or welcome us in always- appalling. We sat down shocked by our “up to now” experience and waited for our food. The wait was unbelievable for what we received. Two messy breakfasts that came with burnt toast, eggs that were overcooked at the bottom and undercooked on the top. We couldn’t even eat half of it as it was awful and full of grease. Instead of leaving I should’ve fought for a refund but we decided to leave quietly and never return. If you do decide to go to Bangor and wanting some food do not go here, there are plenty of places that do good food.

We called in for some 'Brunch' on our way back from a few days on Anglesey and weren't disappointed. The menu was generous as were the portions and brews. The loos were clean and we'll call again when in the area.

Went here with my brother & sister-in-law as they live in Anglesey & l was on holiday in Prestatyn. Very clean, friendly staff & we had a breakfast & it was plentiful & delicious. The only reason l couldn't give it top marks is because of the price. I found the price of their food was quite a bit more expensive than what l am used to

went here today with my daughter and granddaughter, it was my granddaughter who recommended we use it,as she is based in Bangor University, we all had breakfasts small,cant fault it,it was hot,and very welcome,the tea was in a large mug,and that was a small tea!! lovely and clean good menu, boards all round the place showing what food they do,i was impressed,will defo go back when in the area again.

It's convenient location in Upper Bangor makes it a godsend for any students wanting a hangover cure. The large portion sizes and friendly staff is the cherry on top of an already great place to eat

Popped into Mike's Bites with my family for lunch. I had the jacket potato and salad, my husband had a breakfast and the kids had sausages and chips. Great portion size and value for money. Will definitely be back!!!

On a camping holiday with my wife and 2 little ones. Usually a nightmare to find something for the whole family! NOT THIS TIME! Mike's bites was amazing. I had the best breakfast I have honestly had in years. My wife was a bit more particular ( usually a nightmare) but the staff could not have done more to accommodate us. The kids had a grate time with all the staff and we all ate well. If you visit Bangor without going to Mike's bites then you have missed out! 5 stars✨ A special thank you to Kirsty!

Honestly never had such a delicious vegan milkshake in my life. It also came with vegan squirty cream which I have never seen or tasted before. Will definitely be coming again and again. Also breakfasts are brilliant and staff are really lovely and friendly. Great atmosphere to be in. My new fave place in Bangor.

Came in the other day and was not disappointed. I got a strawberry cheesecake moo shake with a large breakfast 😍 mooshake was thick and refreshing! Large breakfast was also very good! Customer service was amazing too! Will definitely be returning

was very dissapointed when I visited today and got told the kitchen was closed half an hour before serving time was supposed to be finished, it clearly states on the door that the kitchen closes at 5:00pm however when i went in at 4:30pm, I got told it was closed.

The staff have always been friendly when eaten there however the food is very over-priced for low standard of food. As a student eating with friends there (specifically after a night out) you can't really find anything to eat under £3-£4. Even their chips and cheese costs a whopping £4.55!

Called here as a local today thinking I'll treat myself .well only thing I'm treating is TripAdvisor on how disappointed I am I went for the large breakfast £7.20 so thought better be good ha I was wrong frozen tasteless sausage salty bacon and NO black pudding. fried bread.

Went to Mikes Bites the other day and had a good experience. The service was very good and the young girl who served me was very pleasant. The food came out quick and hot, and was very nice. The atmosphere was also good. If you’re there, definitely try the Moo Shakes!

Huge menu, but slightly on the expensive side for some of the things that you get. Food was hot and fast with ambivalent service. Fine for a quick bite, but would try somewhere else before going back again. The black pudding was very very dry and tasteless so would choose something that that wasn't included in. My son had a breakfast bap that was massive and much better value that some things on the menu. It's basically your average cafe, and does that job well, but at slightly elevated prices.

Saturday morning in mikes bites, sausage are a must! I’d recommend sticking to the regular size coffee not the large.

Popped in for a quick take away filled roll. A plain white roll with ham and grated cheese .. £4.60!!! If I wasn’t so hungry I would have left it. £4.60 for a cheese and ham roll! Shocking!!!

I have worked in hospitality and catering for over 6 years. And I have seen some bad things but never seen such an appalling menu and food quality.

Came here for food after business with a few colleagues and was shocked by the quality of food and service. Server was disinterested and unwelcoming and food was swimming in grease. Yum. Thrives off hungover students, who I guess are too drunk to care what junk they eat and too rich off The Bank of Mummy and Daddy to care about spending £8 on a breakfast.

I had a vegan sausage as a breakfast option and I was very happy with it. Nice and relaxed atmosphere and great vegan/vegetarian food!

This place is a magnet for students due to it's no fuss food and hangover cures. Portions are massive, as is the menu. Staff are friendly and efficient, atmosphere is laid back.

I have visited Mike's Bikes many times over the last couple of years when visiting son at Uni. I always look forward to the visit and never been disappointed. I always have one of the cooked breakfasts but my eyes are bigger than my belly! Must remember to have a small one next time. There is an excellent choice of food,well priced with Big portions. Staff have always been very friendly. Always worth a visit.

Slow service, waited over 50 minutes before being served with no apology or warning. Wait staff looked stressed. Disappointed with the overall experience.

Great service, a nice laid back vibe and a humongous amount of food. It's a great local place to eat - the only downsides being they only accept cash, and sometimes the food has the tendency to be a little greasy.

El personal y el ambiente es muy acogedor. A mí me encanta tratar aquí cuando mi estudiante almuerzo de becas. Las raciones son generosas y la comida siempre es de alta calidad. Hay un gran paso en la premisa y el baño está bajando un tramo de escaleras y no muy accesible.

I've been here a few times on my way to the University. The menu is on the board, it's large but varied with a sense of humour. My favourite is the Twiggy Breakfast; it's large enough for me and goes down well with a pint of tea. The chef is a jolly Welsh learner; he's friendly and seems to enjoy his job. It's not the cheapest breakfast in Bangor but it is good value in my opinion.

'Small' is a very modest description of the lovely breakfasts they do here. It's easy to mess up a classic Welsh breakfast, but I'm pleased to say over a number of visits the quality never fails. The pleasure of a perfect hash brown; just the right amount of beans. Perfectly toasted break arranged so it's first meeting with beans and eggs is under the breakfast eater's control. They also make great coffee!

After travelling and moving daughter in stopped here after morrisons for a snack of beans on toast and coffee. Quite a sweet cafe portions large sat near window people watching.

I visit Mike's Bites with friends for a casual lunch between lectures. It's close to the university and a nice place to hang out. The food is simple, but nice and homely. One of my favourite places to go for lunch in Bangor.

This cosy little cafe is inside the student area but serves fab food at a fab price with fab service. The all day breakfast menu offers a wide variety of dishes and is honestly to die for!!! Downside is the cafe doesn't take card payments, although there is a cash machine just across the road.

I lived in Bangor for several years, only 100 m from Mike's Bites, and came here often for a fry-up brekkie. I visited again in july 2016 and had to come here again for a full fry-up. It didn't disappoint. I highly recommend this place, it is a wonderful greasy spoon!!

I went in for a simple breakfast before realising everything was over £3 even small things and that the coffee is just instant and not worth the money. Whilst £3.25ish isn't a lot for a sausage sandwich, I could get a whole full large breakfast somewhere else for that money.I appreciate that this may be a small local business in that case it needs to have higher prices, however the prices do not match the quality. Not impressed and won't go again.

So disappointed with the meal we had, i expect if we had stuck to a Breakfast Meal it would have been ok. The spag. bol. was tasteless!!! We very surprised, tried adding condiments and even tomato sauce but to no avail we left our meal and walked out.

If ever I'm hungover, or I simply want a great breakfast, I'll always go to Mike's Bites. Lovely food and great portions. I usually order a Desperate Dan which consists of 3 of everything, however on this occasion I ordered a Greedy B****rd (that's what it's actually called!) and boy was it out of my depth. There was a lot on my plate (Literally). I have attached pictures of it. I will definitely be going back, but maybe not order as much as that!

Food is fairly cheap, mostly breakfast food served here thought they do serve lunches and sandwiches. If you aren't a fan of greasy food, I would avoid this place. Otherwise, you'll probably enjoy it.

The most famous fry up in Bangor! The perfect hangover cure, the brews are served in big mugs and are amazing. Staff are always friendly, place is always clean and tidy aswell. They serve other food apart from breakfasts, I've tried the chilli jacket potato and that was also good!

We had a lovely full breakfast one morning, everything well cooked, coffee good, and at a very reasonable price. The vegetarian breakfast was as tasty as the carnivore version, which some cafes get wrong. Mike's Bites is a cafe, it's good for breakfast with a hangover, I'm told, it's not fine dining, but it will set you up for the day.

Great place for meals, snacks, hot drinks and cakes. Very cheap, given the portion sizes, and rather good food. Hen on the Nest (hash browns and eggs) is a personal fave - the eggs are locally sourced too. You can also exchange one item in your meal for another, usually at no extra cost (the bacon is tasty!).

well what an awful experience this morning!! Took a day off work to go and see the eclipse with my boyfriend and we drove past mikes bites and decided to go for breakfast so we were greeted lovely by the young lad behind the counter and served a great large latte, my boyfriend ordered the small breakfast and I ordered the tarts breakfast which is scrambled egg smoked salmon and mushrooms! It arrived my boyfriend's bacon and beans were freezing cold yes freezing cold!! Mine was Luke warm and the toast was also stone cold!! I hate complaining and this is the first time I have ever written a review on trip advisor!! I carried on trying to eat mine but we sent my boyfriend's breakfast back and the guy was really apologetic so we waited and his breakfast came back and it was awful, swimming in grease and the cheapest sausages ever well we just left all the food and walked out!! Got to the car and we both said we should go back and get a refund but it was absolutely packed out in there and we really didn't want to embarrass the nice lad on the front desk there!! But please get a new chef as we were sooo disappointed and feel soooo cross that we wasted £15.00!!!!! Such a let down this morning

Back in Bangor for a wee holiday, the first morning after the night before (or more accurately afternoon) entails a visit to Mike's for a restorative breakfast. One thing Mike's Bites does brilliantly is cater for large groups of hungover people reasonably quickly. This is a good thing, in that a group of ten people can get their breakfasts within 20 minutes of ordering. But it can mean quality control is a bit hit and miss (my egg looked as though it was going to be running, which made it's solid state even more disappointing). I ordered, as usual, Seven Deadly Sins on my first morning, a combination of bacon, sausage, black pudding, fried bread, hash browns and mushrooms. There is a massive array of fried food combinations, with plenty of selection for vegetarians as well. I did really enjoy my breakfast, but it is a very dry combination (lacking the beans that you get in other options) and although there is plentiful sauces on the tables, these are the cheaptastic cash and carry version of brown sauce/tomato ketchup, and so it's not always the best combination. Better quality condiments would be a welcome addition.Second breakfast was the Tart's Breakfast. Smoked salmon, scrambled egg, mushroom and toast. After ordering, the waitress came back out to inform me that there was only one slice of salmon left, and would I like something else? Maybe some mushrooms? I suggested some bacon instead (because salmon is a premium ingredient, her suggestion of more mushrooms didn't really do it for me). They were more than happy to accommodate, and I suspect there was a little extra scrambled egg on there too. I think this is actually my favourite breakfast there, as it's not swimming in the fat that the traditional fry ups are. Later on that day, I had a baked potato with cheese, coleslaw and houmous. Ah yes, Mike's serves houmous, which is something I love. Granted, they charged me 70p for a generous dollop on the side of my cheese and coleslaw tattie, but for the protein hit it was worth it, and the salad that comes along with it was fresh and crispy and well prepared (although no dressing).Mike's Bites is a Bangor institution, but don't go there expecting mind blowing food. Coffee comes from a large tin of Nescafe on the counter, milkshakes are Crusha syrups, and you have to overlook the fact that you're paying £1.10 for a pint of apple juice which is being poured from a carton marked '59p'. The seating area downstairs is arctic and smells of damp. But it's not pretending to be anything other than a caff which fries food to fill you up, the prices are reasonable, and the menu away from fry ups is fairly extensive. In upper Bangor, with the Belle Vue going gastropub, it's a good bet for a decent meal for a decent price.

Mike's Bites does what it does very well. It is in essence a simple British breakfast cafe and eatery, but it is rather well laid out and has a nice welcoming and quirkily cosmopolitan atmosphere. The food arrives hot and in portions that give great value for money; no wonder it is a hit with the student community. I was very impressed to receive a large mug of tea with two teabags in it, decent tea as well. The food was pretty standard cafe food, but it was served hot and in a reasonable time.I will definitely go there again, so I can happily recommend Mike's Bites.

You get what you pay for at Mike's Bites. Friendly service and hearty food. I always go for the large breakfast and a large mug if tea, it keeps you going throughout the entire day!

Mike's is a fairly busy lowish cost cafe. Do not expect fine dining, but they are good at what they do. It's an order at the counter, take your own cutlery, use kitchen roll instead of serviettes type of place. It's not fancy, but it is solid food at a reasonable price. Good for an all-day breakfast, but there's also a good selection of other foods, with a reasonable number of veggie options.Food normally is served fairly quickly (5-10 min). If it is busy it may take more, but you can usually tell if the queue is out the door!

I seem to be going to Mike's Bites more and more often, I keep finding delicious food on the menu! I've never been disappointed there and service is relatively quick! I've read a few reviews of people struggling to find seats but this hasn't been the case for me. I can't give it 5* because for some reason you can't pay by card which is quite an inconvenience when you fancy a spontaneous fry-up and have to go to the nearest cash point (there are 3 very close but the situation is annoying nevertheless!)...Can't wait to go back, already planning on what I will have next time.

If you want a 'greasy fryup' head here. the food was good, staff were friendly. Orange juice was a little bit over priced seeing as i saw what carton it came from but other than that all good.

Waited a fair time for a table but once we were seated, we knew what we wanted so ordered quickly. Food didn't take too long to arrive. Portions were massive, but it was all incredibly greasy.Better than the other breakfasts I've had so can't complain.

I live on Anglesey and study at Bangor University. Mikes bites is the place for a grab to eat in between lectures!I tend to have the small breakfast which is great. Everything is cooked well and I always leave here feeling full ready for my next lecture.If you're not one for a full English, there's many other options! I sometimes have jacket potatoes which also come with fresh salad.I would say that the price is quiet reasonable. Mikes Bites is definitely a place for good food and a chat with friends.

Mike's Bites is a legendary establishment in Bangor. It hosts a monster of a food challenge only the bravest dare try! It has always been a comfort for us to go to and it never disappoints. The staples of the Mike's Bites experience are it's Breakfasts, which they offer a wide variety of, sure to suit every palate, as well as their chicken nuggets and chips for the young or young at heart!

The food is great, there is a huuuuge variety of choices (the menu takes a whole wall). The breakfasts are great, you get a plate full of great quality meats, vegetables, fresh eggs and thick toast. Ive eaten here many times now and am always greeted by friendly and caring staff

Fancied a breakfast on a recent trip to Bangor, but was brutally disappointed. The server was miserable as sin, he couldn't even crack a smile. There is a variety of food available but really it's just variations of the same thing. I ordered a large veggie breakfast, and my partner a large breakfast. It was all hot but then it would be as pretty much everything but the baked beans was deep fried! Even the tomato was deep fried. Pretty grim really.

They give a huge variety of food at this place for all types of people and even kids. The staff are well mannered and are friendly/chatty. It's a good place for a fry up and when ordering food, even on a busy day it doesn't take a long time for the food to get to you. Great atmosphere, very good food, very clean and hygienic place.

Always been a fan of Mike's Bites, they have delicious veggie walnut burgers, also you can order a kids portion of chips however old you are (good for small appetites like mine!). Staff are always friendly and chatty, really cosy atmosphere, plus you don't feel pressured to leave when it's packed.

As the title says... Used to live in Bangor and this is by far the best place to go for a fry up or breakfast essentials. Staff are friendly and you get a homey feel from the place.
