Staying at the hotel - have eaten lunch and dinner there. The menu is all easy griddle, microwave or fried food. Which is a real surprise considering How long it took to prepare! The burger also arrived and missed the flavours / sauces in the description and to add insult to injury the condiments were all sachet. The bar was SLOWER than an unmanned bar, and no table service if your in easy chairs. So you have to 'claim' your space with a jumper before a TWENTY minute wait at the bar to be served. Even then they were sold out of a number of lines. If mobility is an issue be aware there are steps from the entrance to the restaurant - there is a chair lift, but still. On the plus side, it make me resolved to try alternatives nearby and I found some great places.

While walking round Knole we called in at the Brewhouse for lunch. The menu was typical of all National Trust eateries but our food was served quickly, even though it was busy, well presented and tasty. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful and there's plenty of seating, both inside and outside. Even though it's the only eating establishment at Knole, it's very good and doesn't rely on its monopoly position.

I was utterly humiliated by the cafe manager. As regular visitor ( 2 or 3 times a week) and Bedgebury member I was there with my running group on Friday morning. I ordered an Iced Tea & provided my own cup. I am also entitled to a 10% discount as I'm part of a running group and I genuinely thought I could get my card stamped too (another runner also gets his discount & card stamped) as part of a buy 9 coffees & your 10th is free deal (or something along those lines). The manager Bobbi put my order through the till & then said to me in a very loud voice so that everyone could hear that I couldn't have a discount & my coffee card stamped at the same time and as she'd already stamped my card that I couldn't have my 10% discount. And proceeded to cancel the transaction & put it through again. I was so embarrassed, I went bright red. I felt utterly humiliated. She could have said (quietly) that she'd let it go this time but wouldn't let it through next time. There was a long queue by the time she re-entered my order. I was mortified by the experience ! I will bring my own drink next time.

The founder(s) of Marks & Spencer would turn in their grave(s) should they ever re-visit the Worthing store & café. Once the benchmark of quality & value with a dose of smugness the now ye olde British brand once aimed at a very specific now dying demographic has become tired & tacky. The clothes are average & the food becoming too expensive when others do it better. If there was a competition for the most disgusting toilets Worthing would get the first prize. One of the two men's cubicles has been out of service for months, a dripping tap in one of the disabled booths remained dripping for almost a year & of course as for the the very idea of a lift working? - don't be so silly. The café is pleasant enough providing you get there early before it gets busy & untidy with tables left uncleared. Should there be more than 3 people waiting to be served then take a book & a portable seat with you as the wait will be long, but you can be entertained in the meantime by observing how the staff serving food & drink take their time, chat merrily to each other and/or exchange long-winded pleasantries with customers & are brilliant at avoiding any eye contact with customers. M & S has had its day especially at Worthing.

25 minutes to make 1 hot drink and 2 cold. Ever tried to spread solid butter with a wooden knife and eat overheated soup that melts the spoon? If not then this is the place for you. Excellent date night spot that is guaranteed to end in tears. I would like to give zero stars but apparently that is frowned upon.

Understaffed for the time of year so the queue was huge. Seats were dirty so we asked for a cloth and the lady gave us a smelly damp dish cloth, I told her I couldn't use this and she told me to find another table to sit at. Coffee was as Costa is, always really good, esp the gingerbread special Christmas one.

Don’t order an iced latte. Tastes like water. Did complain and was told that was what you ordered and no refund or apology!! Neither of us liked it and it was £4.00 each, never again

Incredible how this place makes money. Hottest day of the year and they can’t make iced drinks. Opted for a simple latte as I was now committed. Quick sale, painful wait for the latte…… people stood around doing nothing, yet I had to extend my parking by App to wait for my drink. First and last visit.

Biggest thing to compliment this place on is the customer service. I was very impressed with all members of staff serving on the 3 mornings I visited for a pastry and coffee breakfast whilst staying nearby. Friendly, efficient and I watched them acknowledge regulars by name. If I lived nearby this would definitely be my choice of place to go in Bicester. Coffee was very good. Had decaf flat whites, regular flat whites and a lovely piccolo coffee (slightly larger than a macchiato). Tasty range of pastries (I especially loved the raspberry croissant). Totally recommend you give it a try.

Beautiful eating area but ….. Had to wait ages to be served whilst waiting for previous customers drinks to made without any acknowledgment. It was bank holiday Monday but not that busy. Sat down outside and waited for ages again before going back in to find teas cooling on the counter and at that point being informed we should have collected them. Sandwiches arrived, bread a bit stale but basically very overpriced for a basic sandwich! Used the toilet before leaving, really not that clean. Sadly will not be back which is a shame as it is a very lovely garden area.

Is this Starbucks under new ownership? I have always had decent coffee here but not this time. The cappuccino hardly had any froth, so I was left drinking a bland, milky coffee. The seating has been replaced and does not look as high quality as the previous chairs. It was very expensive, considering they cannot even make a decent, frothy cappuccino.
