It was a shame that the cafe is now not serving the food it used to. There are no packaged sandwiches and sausage rolls etc none of which seemed appealing. I chose to come to the cafe today to mark the anniversary of my. Mums death and enjoy lunch. I ended up going elsewhere for food. The staff were very friendly and coffee was good but I do hope the cafe returns to preparing some of its own food. Even the cake selection was very limited.

Astounded. What has happened here. This used to be our goto place when we lived in sussex. How can an organisation as big as this get something so wrong. We where told no manager and the assistant one left recently. Why is the question. The foods pre packaged and not local. Nothings homemade not even the soup. Coffee machines broken. The staff put on such a brave face sadly just covering an incompetence somewhere. Sorry RSPB I've cancelled my membership as if this is an example of how things are done I feel my money could be better used elsewhere.

Great location that could be very profitable if managed properly. Clearly management need to look at this. Really friendly and helpful staff but needs a good look at the menu. Visited 4 weeks ago & coffee machine broken. Visited this week still broken. Sausage baguette was in edible. Cheap sausage and under cooked bread and greatly over priced. Get your act together RSPB as this should be a cafe people want to go back to.

What a wonderful experience we had on our visit to the RSPB Pulborough Brooks Cafe and Wetlands. The food at the cafe was delicious and my husband and I really enjoyed our soup and roll and other family members were very happy with their chosen dishes which all arrived at our table by a friendly member of staff. The food was fresh and very appealing/appetising. It was lovely sitting outside and looking at the super view. Everyone we spoke to were very friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be returning.

Very disappointed. We buried our mum in the morning and decided to lunch at the cafe as the bird reserve was one of her favourite places. Had very few things in stock from their menu, no baked potatoes and a limited range of toasted sandwiches. We ended up with toasted cheese sandwiches, well they were more like toasted cardboard with tasteless cheese inside. The pasties were horrible as they were microwaved, so were soggy in the middle and hard on the edges. Also very highly priced for low quality food.

Fantastic food with lovely views over the Nature Reserve, a regular place for me to visit, and when I'm at the reserve definitely a must visit.

The lunch menu is so limited anyway having things out of stock made things worse. Service is so slow. Overpriced for slow limited service.

Went to Pulborough Brooks with a couple of friends. Not many birds due to hot weather and lack of water. Despite this we had a lovely time, wandering around under the trees and sitting in shade to see what wildlife there was. Must return later when weather is back to 'normal' Staff very welcoming and helpful Pre-made sandwiches, pastries & soup on offer. Between us we chose soup, very good, a sandwich & sausage roll. Sandwich ok, sausage roll very disappointing, heated up in microwave so pastry was soft. Family with 3 children on table behind us struggled to find something for children's lunch. Why not have a child lunch option? Lunch box maybe, simple to prepare. After a lovely afternoon wandering around, we had a much better tea experience, Welcome pot of tea and delicious cakes.

Friendly service and great views. We only had a bacon bap each but gluten free was catered for and the baps were beautifully warm and crisp. I door and outdoor seating available, food ordered at a hatch and brought to your table. Wheelchair access to indoor and outdoor seating

After a walk around the reserve tea and cake in the garden sounded like a great idea. Unfortunately the garden seating in the area adjacent to the field by the cafe needs some extensive refurbishment. Broken seats, insecure tables and a broken bench is not acceptable in an RSPB reserve for the use of paying customers. The seats on our circular table moved as you sat on them, one was broken and the other three were unstable. Other simliar tables in this area were in much the same state of disrepair. One bench table was completely broken and the remaining seating and tables did not look much better than the one we were obliged to use. The alternative was to sit on the floor. Nice cafe, nice tea, nice cakes, awful outside seating.

Perfectly good cafe, food and drink fine (hot and cold), seating outside as well as inside. For a view from your table go round the hedge! Also has a nice gift shop.

Enjoy the walks, the wildlife and the excellent RSPB centre, but don't bother with the café. The position is wonderful, especially when sitting outside, but poor service, stale toast, cold coffee and dreadful presentation spoilt our visit. The café has so much potential, but an injection of fresh management vision is needed to give this tired place a new lease of life (and maybe ditch the tiny plastic pots used to serve dry jam).

You need to get there fairly early to get a good seat with views. My partner had steak and mushroom pie with veg of the day which was excellent, while I had chilli bean jacket potato which was obviously home made. However, I struggled a little to find clean cutlery from the tray.

Last visited about five years ago. I must say the food served in the café was so much better then. Really nice home made lunches and desserts such as rice pudding and jam. Don't know what has happened but café not as good. No real desserts and cake selection very limited - what happened to the bread pudding!

Light lunch or cake and tea/coffee served in informal setting by friendly, helpful staff . Nice to get out of the wind or rain in this little cafe. Dogs allowed only outside at the canopy-covered tables. Some tables have good view out over the Brooks behind so deer (and rabbit) spotting is also on the menu.

Thought I would give this another try after my last visit over a year ago. No. Just no. No improvement whatsoever. It has all the glitz and glamour deco but none of the substance. The owner should look into the best service and food available elsewhere. The Swedish cafe in Horsham are spot on. Take a leaf out of their book for improvement.

The best Indian our family have tasted, authentic and full of flavour. Staff very friendly and kind. Floors could do with a good clean. However the food is incredible and outweighs any other factor. Will definitely be visiting again and pass on our positive experience to friends and family.
