Always quite busy. Staff pleasant. Good coffee and snacks. Slightly put off during my last visit by a dog sitting on a chair being brushed (possibly by a member of staff). The brush was then put on the table. Questionable hygiene!

So good we went 2 days in a row. Great coffee, lovely place very handy for close-parking. A good range of cakes and sweet treats, Nice friendly staff, all together worth a trip for an independent view of coffee. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. We did, very much!

This was the first coffee place I found after walking from the station via Tesco. The staff were a bit unenthusiastic and a few tables had not been cleared. The coffee was enjoyable however. The view is average, one side being a brick wall the other a busy high street and a green painted railway bridge.

Great coffee today, trip down Hunger memory lane for me. But First time in this coffee Shop & Really enjoyed it, Loved my Christmas takeaway Cup. Thank you

Beware of overcharging. Two coffees should be £2.80 and £3.10 But charged extra 60p. Excuse .. asked if I wanted dark or mild. I opted for mild. Pricelist shows extra for Honduran. Described as dark. No apology , no refund AND THE COFFEE IS POOR AT BEST.

I visited Hungerford for a week and went to Coffee #1 several times. Great coffee, cakes, and savouries. Very badly let down by dirty and cluttered tables. They do seem to have a blind spot on this important part of cafe experience. Actually there was 1 day when things were pretty good. I would go again because if you ignore the mess, what you eat and drink is very good.

I use coffee 1 on a regular basis, the coffee is great and the staff are pleasant. On a negative note the WI-FI is rubbish, and the food hit and miss, today I ordered a ham and cheese panini to accompany my coffee but unfortunately the panini was laced with a ton of pepper, almost inedible I had to ask for ketch up to help mask the flavour. I’ll continue to pop in for the odd coffee but will not be ordering any food in the future.

Like with all chains, some Coffee #1's are better than others, but we enjoyed our visit to the Hungerford branch. The staff were smiley and chatty, the cafe was bright and less dingy than some other branches, and our food and drink was fine. They did initially forget to give us a cup to pour our tea into though, just gave us a saucer!

I'm a fan of the chain, they have a lot going for them, and I visit when I can. Had a fantastic coffee and cake, but truly terrible service. Had to wait for ages, must be down to poor staff use, uncleared trays everywhere, tables not wiped either. I wanted to like it, but oh dear, will seriously have to look at other options.

Arrived 2.30 Tuesday for coffee and sandwich. Place was filthy. All tables full of left overs, food all over floor. Noticed staff were not interested so we left and went to costa instead.

I’m a local businessman who likes to pop in for a coffee. Today when I came in it’s pretty empty. However there are eight tables with stacked trays of dirty cups, wrapping etc, most tables need a wipe down and the two staff on duty - one is not doing much behind the counter and the washer up is and has been checking out his phone since I arrived 10 minutes ago !!!! A third member arrived a few minutes ago, had a chat a left. If this was my business there would a strong conversation with the staff very much due. Come on guys, not good for the shop nor the town.

We visited for a sandwich and hot drink. On ordering the girl didn’t smile. We ordered a toasted sandwich and a ploughman’s plus two teas. The toasted sandwich arrived without the ploughman’s. I went to ask where it was and it was at the end of the counter. We took the tea to the table and were not told about collection? The person I asked said it’s there! The tables were a mess and had had not been cleared.

Called in after a walk. Nice airy spacious room. Selection of drinks OK Chocolate very nice. Toilets are non binary. Clean and tidy

We know everywhere has been struggling for staff etc recently but we arrived here for a quick sandwich just as it started to rain at 1pm so it was fairly busy. While my husband queued for food, I had to clear plates, cups etc off a table so we could sit down. It was not cleared or wiped by staff. Others were doing the same. There were only two people serving and a third spent most of his time in the back somewhere so there was quite a wait for the toasted sandwiches and the staff were apologising to everyone for this. However, the worst issue was the tables. None were being cleared or wiped despite a constant flow of customers into the cafe. By the time we left 50 minutes later, the plates that I had cleared were still on the neighbouring table and every table had piles of dirty stuff on it so nowhere for anyone to sit. The poor staff were constantly serving (while one remained out the back) so it became a very unattractive sight for those coming in. Food was ok for a chain like this, nothing special, and little choice of cakes remaining even at 1pm. Really need to sort out the issue of clearing cluttered tables so new customers have somewhere clean to sit.

A Comfort break en route home from Herefordshire. Cappuchio Cake surprisingly good. The single Macciato more like a Cappuchio with flavour. That is, too much steamed milk. Plenty of space, good Covid-19 protocols. Sortly after joining the A34 South, got a call from the Manager. I had managed to leave my Handbag beside my chair! Since 1st Lockdown had been travelling with just phone and a spare credit card. Looking after handbags no longer a habit! The enterprising Manager had searched my hardcopy diary for my mobile number. What a STAR. Sadly unable to reward him as no cash in the building... A HOOOGE thank you anyway. Hayling Seagoon

It's okay. You can find places like that everywhere so there is nothing wrong. I don't want to be too hard on it because everywhere has suffered during lockdown and it is not their fault they don't have much outdoor seating.

Met a colleague here and had an excellent Americano and delicious piece of lemon drizzle cake. It's a large place, so there was plenty of space.
