Pleasent staff , and always clean, nice coffees

Not a great coffee considering they are a big coffee chain. Shame really.

Terrible service, lady rushed me and didnt not give me the deal i asked for so I paid more!!! Drink was not nice and food wasnt either. YUCK

Coffee arrived spilt in the open bag and soaked through to the cake! what in the world is wrong with these delivery drivers!

So cold in the cafe because always got air-conditioning blasting out. The manager seems to think he is right having it on full. Take a look at how many regular customers have left because of the place being ridiculous cold. Very uncomfortable to sit in, coffee has gone cold before 20 minute's. I really don't think the manager cares anymore. It was our regular coffee shop, but plenty of coffee shops that do care about customers.

Lots of seating, good food and service. Central location. Good for meetings but corners to work on laptops too.

Nice and comfortable place to have a cup of coffee in the heart of Newbury town centre. Had mocha- never disappoints at Costa

Wow Wow, What a transformation of Costa since I last visited!! Love the NEW refurbishment - more inviting, brighter & seats very comfortable. Staff were very warm and helpful. Choose a Mango and Passionfruit cold drink and it's Delicious 😋

A very large Costa which is kept clean. Loads of seating available. Queues are slow but service is good. Snacks are fresh, coffee is average.

Large coffee shop with great selections of food and drink that is all served quickly most of the time but sometime can have a long queue. Has been renovated within the last few years aswell.

Coffee was lovely too nice and quiet relaxed outside it was calming 😌

Alone or with friends or family, Costa at Newbury is my choice for a coffee and quick bite.

I have occasionally popped into this establishment for nearly 15 years. It has remained consistent, despite a recent refurb. Though thankfully their loo facilities were improved. Why don’t coffee shops appreciate that loos reflect their hygiene..? I am a fan of Costa’s coffee and raspberry & almond bake. I am also able to comfortably take zoom calls here as the tables are spaced out and noise levels tolerable.

I was served by Erika today. we had a lovely little chat which really cheered me up, thank you 💕

Terrys chocolate orange hot chocolate was cold and disgusting even though I only brought one in town a few days ago, it was greasy and the milk had gone off as it was separated. Took a photo/video also. The other 2 hot chocolates (normal ones) were cold also, took 45 minutes from the time it was supposed to be delivered so when it got to my house, it was stone cold. Biscuits/crisps were fine.

Really nice place but sometimes quite expensive. Anyway it’s my favourite place to visit 🥰

They got our order incorrect and brought us 4 Hot drinks & 1 iced instead of 3 iced drinks & 2 hot. This is totally unacceptable as this is not what we ordered. I took a picture and even the receipt said iced on it. Please contact me for the images. I look forward to your swift response as to how you will be compensating for this mistake.

It was a busy Saturday but my drink was shocking. I ordered two after eight hot chocolates. The hot chocolate tasted lovely but was by no means hot. It was warm. I also felt very disappointed that my drink looked nothing like the drink advertised. Half full glass and hardly any sprinkles. At £4:30 each I won’t be buying this again.

Costa have stopped all vegan options over Christmas, showing little consideration for all types of customers.

Lovely spot next to the river with plenty of seating overlooking it. It's a typical Costa so don't expect anything more. It gets an extra star because it is very sizeable inside with plenty of seating. Seems popular with people working.

I always need somewhere nice to study for my studies and get some good level work done and I honestly love doing it here. The staff are amazing, always friendly and the drinks and food are always so good, the overall atmosphere and cleanliness is brilliant, I absolutely love it here ❤️

On the riverside, perfect place to enjoy a cup of costa. Recently refurbished.

Driver turned up & informed me order was ruined & he was returning it to Costa & another order would be sent. I've been completely duped - no order was re-sent. I hope the driver really enjoyed my food!!!!

Nice atmosphere and good interior, located in the center. Nice staff and delicious drinks. Be careful with coffee, in this cafe they make a lot of coffee shots in one drink and this has a very strong effect on your heart, and if you ask, the staff will kindly make your coffee not as strong as they should make it. Take care of your health. Desserts are good, and pastries are often discounted before closing. Delicious bubble tea mango frappuccino, many of my friends love it very much. In the summer they have a nice terrace near the canal. Lots of people and long lines. There are dirty tables, but the staff tries to control the situation and clean them quickly

Der Café ist ok, die Lage zum Kanal echt schön. Doch draußen sahen die Tische echt schlimm aus. Unter den Tischen benutzte volle Windeln, etliche Zigaretten Stummel und 4 Tablets mit Essensresten

I was pleasently surprised to find a seating area right next to the canal. With the sun being out, it felt like I was having coffee in Venice!

Good coffee, nice food and staff, this site has had a refurbishment and is better than ever. Clean toilets.

I love where they are situated right by the canal. It gets a lot of sun too. Sadly, the new decor is very distracting, not to my personal taste. Coffee is great though, and food is always top-notch.

Costa in Newbury Town Centre. A good place to do a bit of work as plenty of tables with plug sockets. Gets busy as it is a good size. They have a training academy next door.

First time l have been in here since its refurb. Nice decor helpful staff but the noisiest Costa l been in for ages. Slamming cups really loud. Bashing Baristas. Best avoided

Staff lovely and friendly and bery efficient. The only issue i have is that i take a reusable cup on every visit but rarely get my 2 beans!! (This seems to be the only Costa that doesnt recognise my reusable cup)

Views of swans in the canal. OK and the Kokoro bins. But mainly swans. Which was nice.

Really good cappuccino, decent sandwich and great location. Voted 3 stars because unfortunately it was really dirty (food on the floor around the tables especially)

Good little coffee shop over looking the canal

A first visit to this one we was very impressed. Could not fault anything 100% to all the staff.

Recently refurbished. This must have the best view of any Costa, sitting beside the Kennet and Avon canal. Swans, Ducks, Geese and barges gliding by as we sipped our coffee.

Super friendly kind staff. Nothing seems to bother them. The queue can be long and you may have to wait. It's clean inside. Out the front could be cleaned more regularly or out a bin outside.(front of store). Coffee tastes ok but no "wow" factor (I like Americano but the taste is not there compared to another coffee shop) keep trying different ones until you find one that you like. Excellent idea on free birthday cake( thank you Costa!) Even though I've made some recommendations I still enjoyed Costa's child friendly atmosphere. There is something magnetic about this store. Update: Seems Costa has taken some feedback. The outside of the store is now clean and tidy. The new look store is as if COVID has never happened, it's bright, clean, super friendly staff.

Brilliant location next to the canal!

Excellent location, neat and clean interior, helpful and polite staffs and great ambiance. Unfortunately my Americano Coffee was Luke warm - if the shop is very busy and the staffs are overstretched this doesn’t mean the quality of served product should go down!

Drink was Luke warm, poor staff with a bad attitude, didn’t listen to my orders, leaking roof, really rude staff, do not come here!!!

Non of the tables were clean. The drinks were luke warm. Me and my mates came in to a bite to eat and a hot drink in a rainy day and I went to pay for a toasty and my card declined but the staff had already put the toasty in so my mate had to pay for it even though he didn’t want it anymore and when it came out he waited until my mates toasty was also ready to give us our stuff so it was all cooled down and not very pleasant. There were 4 roof leaks causing wet floors and the staff were very rude and did not cooperate with us very well. This experience was very unwelcoming and disgraceful. We will never be coming here again

Probably the best most certainly the biggest Costa we have been to. Lovely views overlooking the canal with long boats going past 😀. Constantly good coffee.

Convenient but crowded and starting to look tired

Nice location having both indoor and out door seating areas. Wide range of bespoke coffee and few snacks drinks and i love the innovative merchandise of cups and risks. Try the collapsed cup which I liked the most.

Delicious but costa has to start cleaning the pipes because it stinks and very unhygienic.

Always very busy with a large slow moving queue. No fault of the staff who are always pleasant and polite but always seem very rushed.

Coffee and staff are lovely. However... Toilets are absolutely rank.. Like visiting a third world slum. Needs attention guys!! Not the first time either. Consistently filthy dirty,urine and paper on floor,seat and pretty much everywhere...

Nice space with a terrace. Tables dirty and uncleaned. Toilets are dirty and so smelly so as to literally make you gag. At least masks have another use !

Costa, I know this might come as a shock, but your first stance should be that the customer is always right. If I ask for a Latte Plus HOT - then it doesn't matter what your head office says. It doesn't break down. Stop giving people COLD drinks.

The Kingsland Centre is showing signs of age now. The shops are a varied mix, with an independent cafe, Costa, Bakers, Charity shops, Opticians, Bank, Chemist and medium size supermarket amongst others. Toucan Travel an independent travel agent recently closed and is awaiting a new letting. In general an adequate amenity in Thatcham. I will continue to use these shops.

I decided to treat myself and my mother to a Costa a few days ago. We walked in, masks on and was greeted by a few people in the queue before us. When we got to the till we were served by a woman with glasses and a white mask (the rigid kind, not cloth). She firstly over complicated our order (two hot chocolates with cream and flakes, no marshmallows) and had to ask three times to get it right, but her mask was also slipping underneath her nose as she was turning around and breathing onto the drinks. Lastly, there are now waiting points, and as both of those were being used, she asked us to stand behind the line for the till, but when we stood back she sighed, tutted and scoffed whilst explaining we had to wait by the till. Overall such poor service, especially as the store wasn’t massively busy. The drinks, however, were of a good standard, but the experience was definitely ruined by the bad barista who needs to wear her mask correctly!

Dreadful. I asked for a mocha but got late. All the chocolate flavour was lost in approx. 4 pints of milk. There really is no need to use that much.

Great coffee, nice staff but nearly every empty table had a used cup or tray on it, I found a table that was clear but wasnt wiped, really need to get on top of this especially in these times when cleanliness is so important!

Probably the best of the high street coffee shop chains. Nice coffee, cafes and atmosphere.
