Good service and polite staff LP

Due to the decor I find this place not very atmospheric. Almost clinical. It's a shame as staff are friendly and helpful.

It's just coffee. Let's not be silly.

Incredible!! My barista was so so lovely!! They noticed my Pochacco keyring and struck up a conversation about him and the blind boxes with me and then surprised me by drawing him on my Takeout coffee lid followed by a note to say “have a super day”. I so wish I had gotten their name as they absolutely made my day. Thank you so so much to whoever you were :) Really made me smile

Great for coffee , Latte with various syrups plus I always had bacon and Brie, but now they have stopped it so lots of disappoints

Well run Costa with happy professional staff and the usual quality drink and food options. Busy as always and good seating options inside.

I have occasionally supped their delicious coffee and the Raspberry & Almond Bake is my all time favourite. There is also no parking fee (for 2 hours) as in a retail park and tables are typically well spaced out (as in all Costa’s in the area). Service is good. I enjoy their outdoor seating though they ought to ban smokers as a bane (can’t stand the sickly smell and my health condition dictates I must steer clear).

Would be better if they employed a cleaner to clean shelves half inch of dust dirty throughout ...

We love a Costa, and like most costa's it can get busy. But service is great, I have seen some people moaning but I'm not sure they have much patience. Could do with getting their toilet fixed, but there is the disabled one open.

Great place to get something to eat and drink. The staff are always lovely and on time with getting orders out. I come here regularly and yet to have a bad experience 👍

We visit this Costa fairly regularly and usually have a great experience. However today we were shocked by how the staff treated a new member of the team. There was a new young lady working today and she said it was her first day. She was clearly struggling operating the till and instead of either of the two other staff helping her, they just did it for her and didn't speak a single word to her. We noticed that the whole time we were there they didn't speak to this young lady at all and that is absolutely no way to treat anyone, especially a new member of your team who clearly needs guidance. I was also over charged on my wrap which was supposed to be 50% off and I believe I was given a small frappe when I ordered and paid for a medium. This is by no fault of the new employee because if these other staff members took the time to talk to her and help her it would have been done correctly. I didn't confront them about the charges as I was concerned about the young girl getting the blame. Really not pleased.

Quick and simple, happy service too!

The manager was called pickles 😂 He treated his staff very well which gave the cafe a good atmosphere and they gave me two teas when I ordered only one 👍👍

Three people working behind the counter, long queue. Tables not cleared, toilets dirty, floor in eating area filthy. If this is the area the public sees, it makes you wonder what state the non public areas are in Obviously need more staff. Avoid

Always provide great tasting coffee, really clean environment and the staff are excellent, really friendly and make a great coffee, what more could you ask for.

Food was okay. Rude waitstaff. Oh well, not spending another dime there.

Need to clean tables more frequently

Had hot chocolate medium little expensive at £3.70 but was nice. Service was pleasant, shop was a little busy but everything looked clean and tidy.

Solid latte. Friendly staff. A go to whenever we visit the UK.

The cappuchino was pretty good, although I did ask for an extra shot in both our cappuccinos. Only disappointment was that they did not have cinnamon for the cappuchino.

Bless the staff, it’s super busy but they’re beavering away getting each job done with a smile on their faces.

What's happened to the usual staff? I've Been twice this week and it's very very slow double the wait time easily. I also mentioned 3 times I wanted a roll hot chocolate and got a normal hot chocolate. My boyfriend ordered a rolo hot chocolate previously and didn't get his small pack of rolo Don't think we are coming back we shall go to the one in Tesco instead.

Good coffee most of the time but a bit pricey to be honest and the service os a bit slow. Otherwise its ok

Greeted and served by a young lady called Lyra. Very friendly and helpful service. Had a strawberry frappe and millionaire shortbread. Very clean and tidy, well presented cafe. A little lacking in customers, so not busy - which is even better. 100% nicer than sone of the Costa places local to me. So thumbs up from me.

Could not find witherspoon so had to pay a fortune for (in my opinion) over priced coffee.

Closes at 5 when it's meant to close at 7pm. Not impressed!

Good shop, overworked staff, but kind of nice. Coffee is not good nymore, it was not quality coffee ever, but it tastes of dirty machines and overbooked beans now.

I detest Costa and won't even go in them anymore. It's not just the lack of large cold drinks, but this one is the slowest in the whole country, and dirty.

Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Good location with plenty of parking. For a chain, the food is pretty good. I don't drink coffee but I believe its good here! 😊

Decor very good nice comfortable chairs on this occasion though my Black Forest chocolate drink not up to normal standards cream running down the glass had to be reminded about choc flakes on top and the glass was covered in cherry sauce very sticky doing 2 customers orders at once instead of one at a time ..

Wonderful coffee thank you, very busy on arrival but staff did really well. Dont mind the wait if staff happy and no mistakes. Had the new quality street penny toffee latte with a tiffin cake.

A fairly standard Costa offering with very little to mark it out as different compared to pretty much every other coffee shop in town. It's fairly convenient if you happen to be shopping at the retail park, but that's about it.

We went to Tesco's where COSTA was shut. And ended up in this one. Much needed break COSTA supplied. Great stop.

Nice store, good seating area. Selection was slightly limited compared to other Costa's, but overall a solid experience.

Great coffee but staff automatically did an americano with milk wasn't asked it was only because a looked at the till that I noticed it and told staff.A americano is black not white

Unfortunately they had no ice when we visited today but that won't affect my 5star rating. The staff were very helpful and friendly and recommend multiple other options besides their iced drinks selection. We had a lovely time sitting in the sun enjoying our drinks and snacks. Absolutely recommend

I only had a diet coke. I'm not a fan of Costa. Used to be. But seems to me like most Franchises, this Costa has lost it's appeal. Toilets revolting. Staff not particularly engaging with customers. Covid puts a dampener on what ought to be a nice few hours chatting with a friend over a drink.

I don't like over priced coffee

Covid measures are in place, but there was still space to sit inside, which was the first time we have done this since March. The font of the menus are a bit small though. Nice cakes

Nice to chill and have a hot chocolate after work.

All well organised and straightforward for ordering and socially distanced seating. Tried cappuccino with cinnamon but didn't realise cinnamon sprinkled on top rather than in the coffee. So don't get taste of cinnamon with every mouthful of coffee. Won't be having it again.

Staff are incredibly friendly and clearly know what they’re doing. However it can be quite busy and there is limited space for seating (no fault of the staff).

Just a quick top review for the staff.... given the odd times we're all operating in....very friendly and lovely vibes they're giving all the customers....hope management sees this and commends this branch

Staff were helpful and friendly, but the place could have been a lot cleaner - lots of litter around the floor. The toilet was not very tidy and had run out of toilet paper - surely someone should check that regularly.

Unfortunately no where near as good as it used to be. Staff are not as friendly and drinks always seem watery compared to other branches. Food is great. Bacon roll is recommended

Always nice coffee here and parking is easy. Just needs a bit more space, as can get a bit noisy and is favorite with people with young kids. No issue with that, but difficult to chat sometimes as everyone seems a bit close.

Nice branch of Costa in Newbury. Normally a prompt service. Good, varied selection of seating to choose from. Nice and clean too

Only had tea and toast but they couldn't get that right!!! Only white bread which wasn't toasted and the tea was Luke warm 😕
