Cafe service is very poor indeed. Waited 18 minutes for a toasted sandwich. Had to leave half of it to go to an appointment. Try somewhere else is my advice

Lovely massive shop with very friendly smiley and helpful staff! The cafe is amazing, very baby orientated too with high chairs which helps, the only time I have ever finished a salad (I’m very fussy) is from here it’s perfect and so delicious and the Nutella hot chocolate is delightful!

Shopping at Dior was unpleasant for me today, when I was shopping for a lot of money, I was asked if I wanted a shopping bag, not to mention that I didn't get any freebies. I've been shopping at Dior for over 10 years and this is the first time this has happened to me. Complete disregard from the saleswoman, I had the impression that it was good, pay and go.

Traditional department store. Use this place if you do not want the Internet to take another tradition.

Prom make-up for my daughter at the Bobbi Brown Counter by Holly Jerome was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend Holly, she is such a lovely girl and did a beautiful job on my daughter!

Bought a face cream that I use for over two years now- however never in Camp Hopson-happy I could have it in store with no online order. Comes out that stock is old or fabric issue as cream was opened and product completely damaged, please open and check your ptoduct in shop! Happy I got full refund next morning, although no empathy from staff or apologies that I had to take extra time to sort it out.

They recently opened a large home furnishings department almost next door to the original store. There is a new cafe there with good service and conveniently located on the ground floor near the front.

First visit to the new Camp,H,Restaurant as we live near Marlborough.Having visited the store several times previously this was an opportune moment.Ordered 2 paninies/drinks etc,, and was shocked to see the abysmal excuse on the plate.There was no sald or dressing attached.Just plain Paninies on an otherwise vacant plate.Bland,Indifferent,over expensive with poor service.[ not to be recommended ] Went on to habidashery to purchase clothing Dye. One required tub left on stand but no price on ticket strip.My wife purchased some threads but no price there either.We spoke with 3 staff just chatting away.Almost apologised for disturbing them !!! Staff shrugged shoulders about ticket strip & said waiting for more stock[Connection lost ]. It seems thestaff in CH are on another wavelength to the CH Model that the public have grown used to.Suggest a great deal of staff training and catering is in order here before we visit again.

Well presented, quality department store with in-store restaurant.

While everything is clean and nice, the prices aren't for the normal working man. We went to the cafe and had a hot drink, which while hot was strong and tiny and expensive.

We only wanted a coffee, cake and a panini. The only thing we got was the cake to start with. We asked for a chicken bacon cheese panini but when it turned up it only had chicken in it, so we called someone over and we still didn't have our coffee so they done the panini again with chicken bacon and cheese but then it was cold not good

Nice store but very under staffed

Their new store in the missed Wilco outlet in Northbrook Street Newbury is interesting. Layout a little confusing but my main complaint is that so many products on sale are not priced. This concerns at the point of display and/or on the items them selves. Very off putting to the potential customer. A very stupid mistake in the so competitive market. Just because you seem to be the only departmental store in Newbury it doesn't behold well.

I bought some cosmetic products yesterday and I had a very professional advice and kind service from the lady who served me. But any time I go to Camp Hopson, I always have the same kindness and professionalism from the side of staff. I always visit Camp Hopson with a good feeling. ❣️❤️💯💥

I went to the lingerie department and saw Maria in July 2023 who was brilliant. She measured me and I realised I needed a new size which fits me much better.

Extension to the other Camp Hopson with a range of things for sell - toys, home stuff, food and drink, decorations, bedding, for pets, etc. Customer toilets available there too and staff ready to help and advise.

Very helpful service when shopping for suit.

Decent extension to the camp hobson store, located in what was the wilkos store. It's a mixture of the furniture store and the department store. Mainly stocking reduced and clearance goods including some furniture, bedding, towels, toys, cookware, home furnishings etc. As its just been opened its fairly clean inside and it's not fully utilised the space but credit to camp hobson for not letting this large space go unused.

Utterly appalling breakfast so disgusting it was inedible - bacon and sausages not cooked, tomato and mushroom cold, egg on muffin unbeatable - four meals ordered four meals sent back to kitchen - cannot understand how any restaurant these days could send out such rubbish

Went to restaurant with friend. Tables were full of dirty plates etc.. Didn't stay to eat.....

After searching in vain for a store that sell post mastectomy bra's in Oxfordshire , the Churchill Hospital used to have companies come in with a selection to buy, however on my last visit it had stopped doing this . the only option seemed to be online with the expense of postage and having to know your correct size. Yesterday on the off chance I went to Camp Hobson to see if I could find a bra I could cobble to fit,and to my delight they are now stocking Anita Care . I was helped by a lovely lady named Lucy and bought two Bras exactly the same as I was wearing I just wish I had known sooner they were stockists .I am so impressed will be back soon .Many thanks Catherine Banerjee

Nice store lots of designers and brands to pick from. The only downside was that the toilets were out of order and on two visits three weeks apart still.

Tania really made my day the other day by making a difference the previous day about her help with an item I returned. She took initiative, she used her expertise, knowledge and customer -centric approach which is so hard to find nowadays and I left with a big smile on my face. I always like to have a look around in Camp's when we go to Newbury shopping it's far different to what it used to be years ago but I suppose it's progress and camp's will never change expensive but good quality stock

Love visiting Newbury. Camp Hopson is OK but fairly overpriced. But it is good quality stuff they sell in there so guess you get what you pay for.

A great traditional department store. The store is always nice clean and tidy. A great selection of items but more on the higher end designer prices. A good place to grab something not normally at the traditional high street shops. Staff are polite and friendly.

Visited here today Friday 8th December. The staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff working in the makeup department. Unfortunately I lost the paper I had with all of their names . But the ones I can remember are .Molly .Holly .Adam There was also a lady working at the Dior counter, who was lovely.

Didn't buy anything on this occasion. But a very helpful assistant and a massive choice of perfume products.

Visited Joe Malone for my wife's customary Christmas present, I was served by Josh who was brilliant very helpful,friendly and thoughtful and had excellent knowledge of the Joe Malone products , great service.

They will not last , customers service is no good as used to be. They really do not care, lost a lot of money from me.Store manager did nothing so do not talk rubbish.

So so place it's pretty overpriced in this day and age we went in the cafe to be honest the food is pretty poor for what you pay the bacon sandwich pretty tasteless same as the eggs and salmon.

Love this old fashioned department store - nothing old fashioned when you get inside! Wonderful service. The lady on the Bobby Brown counter remembered my friend despite it being 9 months earlier. She couldn't have been more helpful.

Entered the shop for the Christmas event on 2/11/23. Some time since we last visited, and we were pleasantly surprised by how the shop had changed. Didn't buy anything on the day, but will definitely return for a Christmas shopping trip this year.

One of my favourite shops in Newbury.

Don't park here, you'll pay for parking and still get a ticket from Camp Hopsons outsourced parking people attendants. We apparently overstayed on a Sunday when we did have a ticket and now want £160 for the overstay. Camp Hopson say they take no responsibility for their own car park.

Shame about the car park management company they use. Bullying to pay a £60 fine for accidentally driving into the car park to turn around.

SEVERLY OVERPRICED, SO WHY BOTHER, GO READING !!

I highly recommend this place for brunch or tea it has lots of options to choose from and the food is amazing this place even made me like coleslaw

I met a friend here a few times over the last months... while the place looks nice and clean, airy, light - the queue is often very long and even if not, the staff are somehow not able to multitask and hence the service is very very slow.... eyes on the till, ears do not seem to hear the customer very well and requests have to be repeated until the complete order is finally taken .., do I dare to ask for an extra glass of water or will that upset the system too much and there are so many people waiting behind..... The waiter then ambles through the room with a forlorn expression on her face, in order to find the correct table to deliver the ordered food... in today's case: scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on a piece of toast... what can possibly go wrong...? Everything is 'fine' but all a bit tired and loveless - the scrambled eggs rather dry, no garnish what-so-ever on the plate - let alone, something to jazz up the scrambled eggs... maybe a rocket leaf or a bit of avocado?... maybe a squeeze of lemon over the salmon?.... 3 pieces of now rather dried out and cold-ish toast and packaged butter is all there is .... oh, maybe some extra salt and pepper would help out here.... helas, they only come in little sachets which have to be asked for - and then only the pepper arrives - I dont have the nerve, heart or patience to ask for salt too.... It is such a shame, as the facilities are nice and enjoyable but somehow the whole place feels stuck in the past... somewhere in the last century... including pastries the size of dinner plates!!!

First impressions we were greeted by lots of dirty tables piled up with dirty plates . my pet hate . Service on counter pleasant enough , we ordered two flat white coffees some Italian pastries and two toasted sandwiches , bri and cranberry and ham and cheese which come with dressed leaves I add . Coffe was good and luckily we had the little pastries to eat while we waited , coffee now drank . Eventually our toasted sandwiches arrived . They looked nice but on eating they were the worst toasted sandwich I’ve ever eaten . And as for dressed leaves well they were just a few leaves taken from a bag and plonked on the plate , no dressing . The ham and cheese one had a little more filling than the bri one but they were both lacking in filing , the bri was sliced so thin it was hardly there , limp rocket and cranberry on very soggy bread . Just gastly . It looked like the bread had been buttered before toasting which resulted in the inside being so soggy just inedible . I didn’t take it back as by now the queue was rather long and after waiting a long time didn’t want yo wait again . Overall disappointed with the cafe .

Not your usual coffee/Resturant establishment A piece of elegance in a classy up market shop the type we used to see when we were children 60 yrs ago The store is expensive but of high quality in all clothes and products This goes for the Resturant beautiful prepared cakes and sandwiches with a taste to match .We only had Coffee and a scone yes a bit more expensive than usual but size taste best I’ve had prices generally not to bad. Classy lay out

A café with an air of elegance. I have been critical in the past but now we are regular visitors. Nothing to compare with it in town and so much more enjoyable than the Costa, Nero and Coffee#1s etc Food is excellent and staff attentive and friendly. For me the welsh rarebit ( lunch menu) is the best ever and for my wife its the ham 'n' cheese toasty

Scones with Clotted Cream and jam were lovely but the milk jugs had bits of loose leaf tea in them and dried milk around the rim.

Passed through on the way from the park to the main street. It appears to carry many name brands; if they're what you're looking for then Camp Hopson could well be for you.

I was served by Tiffany at Jo Malone and - without a shadow of a doubt - this was one of the best customer services experiences I have ever had, if not the best. She was warm, friendly, engaging, and patient with me as I did my shopping. Her product knowledge was impeccable - top to bottom; window to wall - and no request was too much, nor too silly. She is an asset to the organisation, and it was a joy to have her help me with my final bits of Christmas shopping. It was my first time in store and so long as Tiffany is there it won't be the last!! Thank you once again!

Nice feel to the store. We spent a lot of time with friends in the furniture dept and staff excellent.

Level entrance with lifts to all floors however some aisles are a bit narrow for wheelchairs. A ramp on the first has interesting historical information about the history of the store. Nice tearoom on the top floor serves tea, coffees and cakes.
