The best restaurants in West Berkshire South East

Stopped here on trip from Kent to Bristol as a half way point. Walked from Donnington castle. Amazing burger and fantastic staff. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing food and service very authentic and amazingly fresh tasting food will definitely be visiting again very soon

Lovely cooked breakfast, great that you can select exactly which items you want as I personally hate beans and hash browns on a breakfast, so could easily avoid those and have extra mushrooms and tomatoes! Service was efficient, the breakfast was freshly cooked to order. It wasn’t overly greasy and was piping hot. Very much enjoyed. Giving 4 stars only because the cutlery is absolutely terrible to use! Knife blunt and uncomfortable to hold (jabs into hands), and as the bacon was slightly overdone (I don’t mind, I prefer it this way that the other) the knife was useless for cutting through it which was a tad annoying. This said, if passing through Lambourn again would absolutely return. Many thanks.

A refreshing new restaurant. Amazing food and decor. Staff friendly. We would definitely go again to try out the other dishes. An enjoyable lunch on a very hot day in air condition. Perfect 🤩

Beth did an incredible job with the french fancy cake she made as a suprise for my wedding. The cake was delicious and exactly what i wanted, she was extremely helpful and very quick to respond to my queries. I cant recommend her enough

A really simple review. The coffee at RICH is solid gold quality. Had a couple now and not reviewed, but had a flat white Friday and it is without doubt the best coffee in Newbury. Absolutely gorgeous flavor. Staff are always brilliant also.

Superbe diner dans un restaurant rénové avec gout. Nous n'avions pas bien compris l'étoile Michelin de l'ancien Blackbird mais sommes très étonné de l'absence d'un 1ère étoile si nous regardons de près le menu "hommage" dégusté hier soir. Tout est parfait, des ingrédients de base de haute qualité et une cuisine élaborée parfaite. Des assemblages de saveurs très justes comme l'ananas Victoria avec le jambon de Bayonne assaisonné d'une vinaigrette dosée à la perfection. Que dire du canard laqué maison et du dessert à la rhubarbe confite . En un seul mot tout est parfait. Surtout ne changez rien. L'erreur des inspecteurs Michelin sera vite réparée.

Best flat white ever, excellent cappuccino too. The oat cookie was delicious too. Take away but little courtyard cafe tables looked nice.

Fabulous food and friendly service Sad to hear it was closing. Would highly recommend the house slaw and toasted sticky fig and bacon sandwich.

Stunning location. Beautiful tables with linen tablecloths etc. We had the nicest roast dinner with crunchy roast potatoes. The meat and vegetables were cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble

Absolutely brilliant, ordered my Turkey and other bits for Christmas from here and was not disappointed, the Turkey was delicious as were the pigs in blankets and the home delivery on Christmas Eve made everything so much easier. 100% coming back again next Christmas for sure as you've now got a customer for life :)

Fantastic burger takeaway. Exceptional service, delicious food, great prices, what more could you ask for from a local food establishment. We had a large family group around for the weekend and had heard good things about Burgers on the Corner. We put our order for 11 people, including multiple burgers, chips and chicken products, early for the start of the dinner opening and we were not disappointed. Despite such a large order, everything was ready to collect shortly after we arrived. The staff were really pleasant, welcoming and talkative. The food was delicious, the gourmet chips are superb and the burgers were fresh and tasty. Prices and portion sizes were good (sharing boxes of gourmet chips easily did three adults and the portions that came with burgers were also great size). We will definitely be ordering again.

Lovely food and smashing jacket potatoes. Mummy’s salad looked yummy and very friendly staff. Cakes look delicious, Mummy says we can come back. Nia Age 10

Tucked away in a retirement complex is this super little place offering a variety of delicious food, all home made, at ridiculously reasonable prices, prepared and served by a lovely couple. Find it and give it a try.
