Weavers walk cafe has been a mainstay in Newbury for several decades . The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Good value for money too . It’s always my first choice for a light lunch or coffee and cake . They have lots of regulars too so that’s always a good sign

Really good food. Expertly made cocktails. We had the burger, which was excellent. The open fire was perfect warmer before the walk back into town.

Chapel RowI can't praise the Blackbird cafe enough. It's a regular for us, either for coffee and cake or a lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating, friendly service and ( most important) great tasting coffee, cakes and food. I particularly recommend (all the cakes and) the spanankopita - or it's sister filo pie - and the roasted carrot/quinoa salad. YUMMMMMY! (also a great loo stop for bikers)
