Had a beautiful afternoon tea, the food, presentation and service were perfect. I'd had the boxed brownies before posted as a gift and was impressed and this certainly lived up to my expectations.

Weve just had a Business lunch delivered for all of our staff . There were lots of choice from various sandwiches, very fresh fruit , crisps, home made sausage rolls and chocolate brownies which all went down a treat. Colline recently made a wedding cake and lots of brownies for our wedding. We had lots of lovely comments about them and we enjoyed working with Colline in advance of the day. She experimented with new flavours based on some of our ideas, which was great fun. Colline went above and beyond for us on the day, even offering to go and collect the cake topper we had forgotten. We found Colline to provide excellent quality at a totally reasonable price. Would highly recommend Colline for sweet treats and catering.

Colline catered a yoga retreat at Wasing for me and she was utterly brilliant. She spent time on zoom calls making sure we got the menu's right and catered for all dietary needs, as well as some fussy eaters and everyone was so happy. Her healthy vegan snacks, the bounty bars and ginger fudge and millionaire bites were amazing... better than the originals! She cooked dinner at the Wasing farmhouse and served it straight to the dining room and again everyone was catered for, both meat eaters and vegans and the fusspots. She was just a pleasure to work with from beginning to end and the fact her food is delicious means I would use her again in a heartbeat.

Everyone was so very impressed with how the special birthday cake Colline made for my husband's birthday party looked and tasted. Particularly as my son-in-law’s Mum, who always makes their family birthday cakes makes beautiful looking cakes. But they are always really solid and not good tasting. Such a waste. No fears of that being the case with Colline's cake I was so pleased that Colline agreed to do a separate individual gluten free cake for the coeliac who was attending our party. And that went down just as well as the big cake. Thank you Colline!

Recently went to the Greek super club here hosted by Giota, to get a taste of some real authentic Greek cooking! Definitely didn’t disappoint, amazing dishes, great flavors and lots of it. The whole evening was a great vibe, Colline, Giota and her family did a great job, thankyou!

Just celebrated Jonny & Elaine's Ruby Wedding Anniversary with a do at The Victory Hall, Bucklebury catered by Colline's Kitchen - Wow, Wow, WOW! The food was out of this world. I know exactly where I'm going next time we need caterer's. Amazing, thank you! Happy tummies!

Lovely cafe with really friendly staff, great views across the water. The food is delicious but I feel a little expensive to pay £8.50 for one slice of avocado toast with absolutely no trimmings not even a few salad leaves.

We ordered a bacon / avocado sourdough sandwich, along with a salad bowl, halloumi as extra. We waited and waited ……… and waited. It seemed that people asking for drinks with/without cakes were being served first. On enquiring, we were told the kitchen was very busy; ‘just the halloumi to do. About 5 minutes’. Eventually, after 45minutes( at least) the food arrived. The salad looked and was good. The sandwich with crisps on the side was a mere plate of unappetising beige. Such a shame as the canal location was appealing. We cannot recommend.

A nice little place along the canal. Food is alright if a bit pricey but definitely made in house which is always great. Sitting outside is nice as long as one doesn't mind the constant stream of people going by as well as kids running around because of the youth centre.

What a lovely little cafe, right by the canal just away from the centre of town. Really lovely welcome from the staff, great coffee and reasonably priced, fresh food. Dog friendly too.

We made arrangements for 16 of us from 4 families to meet & eat. We were given a lovely room with Riverside balcony which was super. The staff were very helpful to all our various requests, especially on such a busy day. Really appreciated everything they arranged for us.

Had a wonderful lunch here for less than £10 each! Can highly recommend the halloumi avocado bagel! Can’t wait to come back x

On my first visit my parents and I had tea and coffee, all piping hot and very nice. My mother had banana cake with chocolate chips. I had a really tasty pulled pork in pastry, like a posh sausage roll. It was served with some kettle chips and a very nice caramelised onion marmalade. We thoroughly enjoyed it and our table overlooking the canal with all its swans was very pleasant. Will definitely visit again.

Staff are really friendly, helpful and welcoming. The cakes are really good.

2 sandwiches came out 15 minutes apart. 2nd one came with no cutlery or serviette

After a quick google and a glance at the pretty pictures on Insta, we chose Colline’s Kitchen for lunch. We weren’t disappointed. Good vegetarian choices, substantial portions and quick service. The prices were reasonable too. Only negative was that my soup was really cold. If I’d had time to queue up again, I would have asked them to reheat it, but we were on the clock. It tasted great though. The bacon sandwich and the very meaty sausage roll got full marks, Coffee was delicious, cakes looked good. I’ll have one next time.

Coffee tasted pretty good. Waited 10 minutes for a vegan sausage roll to be heated up, and it was pretty grim, it was like 95 percent a giant slab of weird vegan sausage that tasted like cheap sausage meat, and 5 percent surrounded by a soft, soggy pastry. In a box with 10 crisps and some chutney, for 4 pounds. I saw a review about a vegan brownie but nope, no vegan cakes available, staff didn't know which were vegan and which weren't. For the coffee - a young man asked me to pour my own milk... Not sure why. It was cold from the carton. 2 vegan bagels on the menu, one sun-dried tomato and VE cream cheese and another with just simply friend mushrooms and chives. Bit dull and plain and a little weird, didn't appeal. I really wanted to support a local business and the staff were friendly, nothing stood out for service but they didn't do anything wrong, except asking me to pour the milk a bit odd. The main sticking point was the sausage roll was just very weak. It's like - if you can't even be bothered to try with that, then how can you expect people to come back for it, when they have to go out of their way, off the highstreet, and pay a premium and wait for so long, for a poor product, why would they gonna make the effort to support you, when they can get a vegan sausage roll from Greggs? Cheaper, better product and more convenient. As I said I like to support smaller businesses, I DON'T agree that people SHOULD go to Greggs over these places but if you are going to fail on all those areas I've listed above, then you need to consider how you can expect people to support you. There's nothing of my experience that is tempting me to come back whatsoever. Such a shame because the placement by the canal is good, nice looking indoor seating and staff were pretty friendly. Finally the menu, Google listing, and the website had conflicting opening times, and NO menu could be found ANYWHERE online. Not on the website, not on the Google listing.

Consistently good food, and especially yummy brownies. Recommend the bagels. Dog and stroller friendly - a good place for parents with strollers to meet up.

Another lovely lunch at Colline's - very helpful, as always, ensuring that I get a quiet table in the lovely room overlooking the river. Great pea soup and tasty brownies - so difficult to choose though!

We are a local manufacturing business in Newbury and order from Collines at least a few times a month when we host customers. The food is always fantatsic. the allergy instructions are clear, they always cater the menu to different requirements. The presentation is fantastic and they always deliver on time, even with last minute changes. The lunch is always highly praised by our customers and I suspect thats a key reason for all the return meetings

Child friendly, dog friendly, and the patents will enjoy it too. I little hidden from the town centre but accessible from the canal towpath and views out over the Kennet and Avon, this is a good independent coffee shop and worth thd extra few steps from Costa on thd corner of the towpath and town centre.

Regularly order from Colline's whenever we have a customer visiting our site, and we've never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

I have been to Colline's both personally and used her to cater for work events and I am always impressed by the standard of food. Nothing is ever too much. she has catered Lasagne for 22 people as a work event, allowing for allergies and food preferences and all the food arrived hot and delicious! If we ever need to give Colline feedback she takes this onboard and is always sorted for the next instance and any after, but this rarely comes up. Colline has also got involved in our social events judging our ginger bread houses and it is clear to see her and the team as well as the cafe have a hugely positive impact on the community.

Colline provides the food for meetings in our office. We always have a amazing feedback for the quality of the food. My clients usually opt for the buddha bowls and donuts! It's really competitively priced and the service is great - delivery to the door! We're so lucky to have the kitchen on our doorstep. Thank you.

Definitely the best coffee shop/eatery in Newbury! The staff are friendly, informative, efficient and helpful. The food is home made, piping hot, wholesome, seasonal and varied. The venue is spotlessly clean, comfortable, beautifully situated on the edge of the Kennet and has lots of seating. There are sofas on the ground floor, outdoor seating and a first floor with fantastic views over the canal. I cannot rate this place highly enough. I have been 4 times in the last month and had the fantastic mushroom soup with a pesto toastie on the last visit. Newbury SO needs this coffee shop/eatery and Colline’s kitchen is a valuable asset to the Waterside Centre. The jewel in the crown!

If you are looking for great cake and a bright and open space with warm and welcoming staff, this is certainly a coffee shop to visit. I have to say the sausage roll is brilliant and I believe the other food on the menu is great. I have quickly become a regular !!!

Always a treat to pop in to see Colline. Even when she isn't there the staff work hard and there is always a Vegan option. We tend to sit by the river but I would pop in to get takeaway coffee too.

Colline made the most beautiful cake for my daughter's 12th birthday. She was so pleased with it as I was - her smile said it all. Absolutely amazing decoration and the best chocolate cake we've had by far. The biggest compliment I think is when a friend's husband who doesn't really like cake asks for more! Says it all really. Colline you are amazing and so talented. When your 12 year old wells up in the car after collecting it as she didn't expect to ever have a "professional cake for her birthday" (Her words) It literally made me so grateful that you had made it for her. She also said how lovely you are! 🥰 Thank you so much. You are an amazing lady through and through.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch at Collline's today. My Buddha bowl was really tasty and my hazelnut tart was fantastic. The staff were helpful and the riverside spot was tranquil. Delicious healthy food, reasonable prices in a beautiful canalside venue. What's not to love?

Friendly staff, pleasant selection of cakes which appear to be homemade and very tasty. Enjoyed our coffee in the outside seating overlooking the canal with entertainment from passing craft etc. Would make one suggestion, suitable shading would be of benefit as the weather improves.

Colline makes the most wonderful food. Her café is always buzzing and the food and cakes are delicious. My favourite is her legendary banana and chocolate cake! Although her caramel brownie is a new strong contender. As well as being an excellent chef, Colline is the most incredible and kind woman. She gives back so much through her work with Educafe and the local community as well as supporting various charities. She is literally super woman and completely selfless. Please support her business as she really is a gem. Oh and did I mention the banana and chocolate cake?! 😆

Omg! This is incredible. Every week there is a new menu, using the best of fresh available ingredients. The Buddha bowl has an excellent portion and great price. The food is flavorful, full of rich textures. Quite the gourmet experience I enjoyed until the last bite! (And then had an amazing dessert to look forward to!)

Lovely cakes, cookies, and toastie, but the highlight was the Buddha bowl - miso salmon was absolutely amazing. Definitely coming back soon Edit: I did come back, and this time had the ribs Buddha bowl - also amazing!

We stopped in here while we were in town yesterday and had a really lovely meal. Service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious and filling. Huge portions too, so you definitely won't be left feeling hungry. The ramp to get in the front door is quite steep if you're on your own in a wheelchair, but shouldn't cause too many problems if you have someone there to help you grab the door. For cyclists, there's also a bike rack just to the left before you go in. One of the best lunches we've had in Newbury in a long time. We'll definitely be coming back.

I used collines kitchen during lockdown 3 or 4 times for lockdown birthdays, i am so glad we did! Very easy to place an order and colline was more than happy to customize orders, extremely responsive to emails and prompt deliveries, i got to try the biscoff blondies we ordered for my partners birthday and they were amazing! I had cake delivered from my sister as we were unable to have her afternoon Hen Do (Covid 19) so we had it virtually instead. The cake was lovely, the hand written note was lovely and the delivery man was a real smiler. 5 Stars! Yummy and Happy. Thank you.

We went to one of Colline's supper club evenings last night. It was vegan themed but you would've enjoyed it whether vegan or not. We ate multiple dishes from around the world and all were delicious and packed with flavour. We couldn't even choose our favourite, they were all so good. We chatted to Colline all evening, who is a really lovely and interesting person. There was loads of food, and Colline even bagged up the leftovers for us to take home! We had a brill evening that was a bit different and we can't wait to go back for other events and to try the cafe. Thanks Colline for a fab evening.

A hidden cafe that it would be a shame to miss. We had a drink and a cake in the courtyard hidden away in the centre of the building. Lunch looked delicious and so next time....

I had to kill a couple of hours whilst my car was fixed and wanted somewhere with WiFi where I was welcome to nurse a couple of coffees and a sandwich whilst I did some work. I didn't want to just use a chain, so I looked online and found Colline's place. As a small business, like my own, I thought I'd email ahead to be sure they didn't think I would be taking liberties. Colline mailed back welcoming me!On the morning I arrived at the cosy spot and was offered a table closest to the power socket for my laptop. The coffee ordered was lovely! That's where it all started to go off the rails. I thought I'd get some work done but ended up in an engaging chat with my hostess that was joined in by some fellow customers. We had a lovely time chatting, learning and generally be sociable human beings. What a great change from the clinical chains. The time flew by and I eventually left feeling like I'd actually lived the time not killed it!

I first met Colline at a Christmas market last year and bought some delicious chocolate orange brownies from her. She's since opened this adorable cafe in Newbury. Everything about this place is amazing! The cakes, the service and location! You're in the heart of the town centre but feel like you're in your own private oasis. Colline and her team are so welcoming and friendly. You can also take dogs there too which is a bonus for us. We had a generous slice of chocolate chip banana cake and a slab of Victoria sponge, with a huge pot of freshly brewed tea. All absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back for lunch soon!

Our first visit today to this hidden Gem and my friend and I were warmly welcomed by the young man there who happily engaged in conversation with us , we had some laughs with him. Cant believe we were in there for nearly three hours.The Food was great both of us going for the homemade vegetable quiche with 3 sides These were Rice and Chickpea salad , Butternut squash with Walnuts and chives and also a mixture of Red onion, Brussel sprouts and Mixed fruit The three sides being suitable for Vegans, Have to say I did succumb to a lovely slice of Salted Caramel cake after with a Latte. it was all delicious Thankyou once again for the wonderful food and the Great company , you made us feel very welcome. We will be back

What an addition to the Newbury lunch scene. I popped in for a take away lunch yesterday and decided on the veggie (I'm not vegetarian) quiche with salads. I was served by the nicest friendliest person you could possibly meet. The quiche was the best I have ever eaten and the salads were yummy especially the courgette spaghetti. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes including the home made cakes.

I visited this vibrant cafe for lunch yesterday and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. I had the mediterranean vegetable quiche and sweet potato and puy lentil salad. I couldn’t resist having a slice of the Victoria sponge cake too! All of this was topped off by the cheerful and friendly service given by Colline. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
