Really nice pub, friendly staff, clean and inviting premises.

Myself and my fiancée regularly visit here as our 'local'. One of the best beer selections in town and a great cocktail menu for those who aren't a fan of beer. Also one of the only places I know that have Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica on tap. Amazing! Great dog friendly pub too.

Really good family friendly vibes on a Saturday afternoon. Super friendly staff. Good selection of craft beers too, but apparently that will be gone in a couple of months :(

Great local institution with an amazing choice of craft beers and IPAs. Skillfully decorated inside with places to chat and just chill whilst enjoying your drink. I only wish they were open longer and more frequently.

I'm looking forward to this... This has been a long time coming. When I moved here in December, I've spent a fair amount of time at The Globe with my dog, George. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and having tried the vast majority of what they have to offer between them, can give you an experienced opinion of their outstanding craft beer selection (don't be scared of the stronger beers unless you're driving, they'll get it right for you!). They have expanded their already excellent spirit selection to include some personal favourites which is wonderful, they frequently get new stock as well so there is always something new to try so you won't get bored drinking here. They offer an open front as well as sofas, benches and high tables for groups in the back, they cater for most requirements, including dog bowls and a dog friendly environment with a love for what they do. They also make sure of any allergies! Love it, I look forward to coming back.

The Globe is an unexpected gem in Newbury. When I went with family a few months ago for the sunday night quiz, we did not expect to have so much fun! The host Katie is a bundle of energy and the quiz is one you will be dying to go to again. The cocktails are, without a doubt, the best cocktails in Newbury! If you are in Newbury you must go to the Globe!!

I aways enjoy The Globe! Really chilled, friendly staff, with good beer. On top of that it's a stylish looking place and to make it perfect it's dog friendly - really dog friendly!

My favourite pub in Newbury. Fantastic choice of drinks, and the best selection of snacks anywhere! Always offer advice on the vast selection of drinks on offer. They don't serve meals, which is a refreshing change.👍🏻 My only complaint is that they are not open enough.

I recently held my birthday party at The Globe and the whole team were amazing! I had around 35 guests and we were able to reserve the front area which was perfect for us having our own space. The team even designed me a signature cocktail for the night of my party that was delicious and everyone loved! Thanks to The Globe it was such a special event and would highly recommend to anyone considering some similar!

Colin and the team have been working hard on the style and vibe here. It's very dog friendly and they're working on their selection of gluten free beers. They also have a large indoor garden space where there's often live music.

Popped in here for a pint at the weekend with a couple of mates, service was quick, and the IPA refreshing and tasty. On a super positive note... toilets were very clean... often not the case in town pubs... in fact whole place was spick and span, nicely decorated and tidy.

A definite must-go pub in Newbury. Went here for a couple drinks and some pizza. They have a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as some lovely cocktails (and mocktails). The food selection isn't huge but what they do have is all amazing. The staff are super friendly and very welcoming. They also are a dog friendly place, which is amazing. Highly recommended place to visit for a drink or a bite to eat.

The best pub in town! serving; the vibe, the menu, the entertainment, the staff - all so fun and friendly! People complaining over a sign need to grow up and get a sense of humour - it is obviously not aimed at people who are exempt - bore off and leave this lovely establishment alone.

My favourite place to drink in Newbury. Always a good atmosphere. A good selection of drinks shame it doesn't do food but then there is the Catherine Wheel for that.

We absolutely love coming here. Brilliant array of drinks, delicious cocktails, great atmosphere, friendly service.... VERY dog friendly! They make such a fuss of our dog Bentley when he comes in with water, treats and even blankets! The pizza on Fridays is really good, and the pasta on Thursdays also very good. Highly recommend!

I invited my friends to stay with me in Newbury we all went to the globe and were treated so nicely by attentive staff. My London mates were really impressed by the pub and it’s lovely cocktails. Also it’s very dog friendly which is a plus!

Such a welcome addition to Newbury. Puts the other pubs to shame! So friendly, to humans and dogs alike - Isla loves her weekly visit! Great pop ups for food - love the pizza. Can’t recommend the pub and staff highly enough. Don’t usually write reviews but they deserve one!

I honestly can’t recommend the Globe to you enough. It’s not just a pub, it’s a family. They’re the friendliest bunch you’ll ever meet & will always go above & beyond to make you happy. We love them so much we had our wedding with them & honestly they made it the most perfect day imaginable. Whether you’re a local, or just passing through… make sure you make a stop at the Globe. You’ll definitely go back. And 100% recommend the slushies if you’re popping in the summer - a little taste of heaven.

Lovely pub with friendly staff! Felt Iike the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure we were happy. Great drinks & fantastic selection of crisps including ones I’ve not had forever (spicy nic nacs!) A 5* review cannot got without mentioning Dave the Border Terrier dog who is also very friendly and made our visit to the pub even more memorable.

Drinks were ordered through an app and then brought to your table. Service was quick and staff were very friendly.

Great setup to the side of the pub in the old Cargo store. Looks great, nice atmosphere and the drinks are brought to you. What's not to like?!

During these tough times these guys have been open as a takeaway shop selling all sorts, Food, Coffee, Alcohol and more. Today I got a takeaway draft beer and a Shawarma Chicken salad box ! Both were exceptional, the beer a craft favourite of mine poured cold from an actual pump and the food was just sublime !! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, can’t wait to go and spend some time in there when safe to do so !

The guys here have really turned this place around since it's previous ownership as The Snooty Fox. It's a whole new atmosphere in here. The entire staff are the perfect combination of friendly, inviting and professional. It's such a cosy pub and is perfect for any day or time of the week. Plus, they allow dogs. Who doesn't love that? They also host so many events to get the community involved and support other local businesses and creatives. Live music. Pub Quiz. Food events. Flower bouquet workshops. Professional dog photoshoots. You name it, they've probably done it. These guys have worked (and continue to do so) so hard to create the environment that it is now. They are such an amazing independent business that I'll continue to support as much as I can.

Good food, great range of drinks, sufficient friendly staff, and usually good crowd of customers. Never seen any trouble. Acoustics could be better.

Really nice pub. Dog friendly and the staff are really friendly. They also sell unique produce such as cake jars that contain cake and fondant depending on what has been made by a local cake maker, unique brand of chocolate called Tonny's and homemade dog treats.

Definitely better than it was, and they've done a good job of redecorating, however I did notice a few of the old clientele knocking about - half the reason I stopped drinking in here when it used to be the snooty. Not heard of any trouble here though, so it could just be me being judgemental. One thing that could put this up to 4/5 stars though is the drinks selection - 4 IPAs or similar is too much. Plus the maltsmiths and beavertown aren't good examples of IPA. £5+ for the beavertown (which is less than 5%) is too expensive. Maybe if they mixed in some guest craft beers, sours, saisons, porters, etc, it would be more of a destination pub like the catherine wheel has become.

We chose to come here for our Christmas work meal out. When we booked they told us there would be live music and asked whether we would like to be near or sit away. We chose to sit away then we could listen and chat, was great to have that option! great live music! Fantastic service! Fantastic food! There were 8 of us and all the delicious well presented food came out at the same time. Can't rate highly enough on all counts!
