The best restaurants serving Indian food in West Berkshire South East

Had a lovely evening as always at the Lina!!!! The best Indian food around - every dish was delicious. Restaurant very clean and great atmosphere. Service was amazing and Ali and everyone else who works there are so great and friendly and cannot do enough for you. You won’t be disappointed whatever you order!

Good buffet options... Nonveg food is awesome and many main course options. Almost 7 main course dishes, Pulao rice and nan/roti options. Chicken wings were tasty. Samosa was bit oily... Veg options are limited for Buffet. Had only potato pakoda, onion pakoda (both oily) and taste could have been better and only bombay Aloo in main course.

Have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions now and food and service consistently excellent. Would really recommend for food that is a little different from mainstream Indian restaurants.

If you are looking for an Indian takeaway, this is the place! The quality of the food is really good. The portions are decent, and tasty! As an added bonus, have a great choice of dishes with Amrita's warm hospitality. You should definitely try tandoori chicken, butter chicken and rajma chawal if you are unsure what to try. I have been visiting Taste of India for 2 years now.

Normally, when we go out for an Indian, we would go to the Gun Pub. However we decided a change and went to Chillis. it was lovely meal especially the 'mysore chicken'. amazing food. lovely staff. quick service. brilliant all round

all of the food is amazing staff is also good and I would highly recommend Tandoori chilli panner and lamb biryani and the presentation of the biryani Is incredible

Been here numerous times, as a northerner visiting my girlfriends family, was one of the best curries id ever had the last 10 or 15 times I’ve been, went tonight and everything seems completely different, runny bland curry, rice tasteless and hard, even the chutneys taste awful, don’t know what happened if the usual chef has left, but if so need to get him back immediately

Always the best food and prompt service, lovely staff. Truly delicious. I highly recommend The Taj of India for authentic cuisine.

Food is generally OK but found some metal in my food

I'm saddened to being putting this bad review but it's to many times to be a one off now. Firstly I must say this take away has always been one of my favourite curry houses to go to for a curry that they have made me for several years that I've not been able to get anything tasting remotely the same anywhere else. The last 4 or 5 times I've ordered from here the delivery service has been shocking taking over 2 /3 hours each time. When phoning up to complain you just end up being fobbed off with reasons including things such as the company has been taken over now and were trying to get used to things. The only reason I've continued for so long is due to the fact they make my favourite curry. Due to the fact I've thought the delivery service has been shocking for the last couple of years I decided the other night to order the food and drive to collect it. 40 minutes was the wait time..perfectly reasonable. One reaching the establishment after 40/45 minutes i then had to wait there for an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes on top of the originally stated time frame. Finally getting the food and rushing home as now at this point I'm so hungry and so are my family, we take the food out of the bag and we're missing some items, also one of the curries had 4 pieces of chicken and a small amount of sauce in the tub. 4 small pieces of chicken for the prices paid along with the shocking service numerous times in a row has now left me annoyed and leaving this review. This place has gone down hill and doesn't seem to have any empathy when you complain when somethings wrong. 2025 will now be the year I'll switch to curry cave across the road who also do fantastic food along with good service inside the venue and also when delivering its always been on time

We have used the delivery service for about 5 years as we live outside of Newbury. The service and standard of food has become appalling!! They over promise on delivery time, the food is then stone cold !! Very disappointing we will now look else where ! The curry cave is a better option!!

Awful food. Made me and my partner ill. Cheap ingredients and poorly cooked. Lamb was tough. Chicken wasn't cooked enough and sauces were so thick I could of used them as concrete. Very disappointing. Will never use again

We enjoyed our dinner at Spice Lounge. The food is delicious, highly recommended!
