The food was tasty and flavoursome and the portions were plentyful . The service was outstanding , very friendly and smiling staff. We have had a lovely experience and we will come back and we highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Newbury ! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful meal and your excellent service.

I used to be a regular customer at Red Peppers Newbury, but my recent experience was nothing short of disappointing. The food quality has drastically declined, with dishes lacking the flavor and freshness that once made this place a favorite. The staff's behavior was also below standard, with a noticeable lack of attentiveness and courtesy that left me feeling undervalued as a customer. It’s unfortunate to see a once-great establishment deteriorate in both service and food quality. I hope they can make the necessary improvements to return to their former standards.

Red Peppers has great food! I had a very tasty prawn Sagwala. On Wednesdays (and maybe on other day that I forget) they have a great deal that includes 1 starter, 1 main, 1 side, and either rice or naan for roughly £12. The staff were very friendly and the proprietor took me for a tour of their kitchens. The kitchens were very clean and it was great to see all the food being freahly made. Overall a very friendly restaurant with great food.

Chicken was as dry as as a bone - assume it was previously frozen. Naan was more of a chipati - assume it was shop bought and not cooked on a tandoor. Staff were very friendly. Beer was cold. Overall the meal and drinks were relatively inexpensive - reflective of the food.

Absolutely Disastrous! Red Peppers is an absolute disgrace to Indian cuisine. Last night's takeaway was the worst Indian food I've ever had the misfortune to consume. The chicken was so dry it resembled cardboard, and the complete disregard for my specific instructions is nothing short of incompetence. Finding vegetables in my egg rice is an insult, and sultanas in a Chicken Tikka Korma? Are you serious? The garlic naan was like eating a stale cracker. It was hard, dry, and completely devoid of any flavor or texture. I am appalled at the quality ofthis food and even more disappointed in the complete lack of care taken with my order. I would strongly advise anyone considering ordering from Red Peppers to think twice, or even three times. Save your money and your taste buds, and order from somewhere that actually knows how to cook Indian food.

OMG… what a beautiful meal. We ordered from menu, but everyone on our table changed the meal Slightly. The young lady always remembers what I have and we only come in every few months-wow! Everyone had a fab meal. Service was great as were the staff. Very efficient. I won’t go to any other curry house.

Have been to this great little restaurant regularly but last went on a banquet night and the value was really good while quality of food and service remains high. The chicken tikka Madras was excellent as was partners Rogan Josh. Beer is good (Kingfisher & Cobra) and wine is good value - will definitely be going back.

Just had a lovely meal this evening at Red Pepper's, staff were lovely and the company inside equally the same.We had the banquet for £12.95 each which runs on a Tuesday and Wednesday night, the food was excellent and we were full up as we had plenty of food. If you are in the area or live here I can totally recommend it. We had a Red Peppers chicken special and a Lamb bihari, I can fully recommend as both were very tasty. Whilst visiting Newbury I decided one evening to visit the Red Pepper Indian Restaurant and take advantage of their Buffet meal deal. To be honest this has to probably one of the worst Indian Restaurants I have visited. Even the couple on the table next door to walked out as their food was also disappointing. Unless you sort things out fast your Restaurant business will be a very short lived one

Great place! Very nice Indian food, very generous portions, exceptional service (very nice owner). Mid-week deal is phenomenally good value. Highly recommend.

We go to Red Peppers regularly- mainly for the banquet night on Tuesday or Wednesday. The food and service is always excellent. The only downside is that the toilets need a refresh.

My first time ordering from them and it’s absolutely disappointing! I’ve ordered Butter chicken and it was so tasteless. The sauce wasn’t great and didn’t taste nice at all. I won’t be ordering from them again!

Food was hot and arrived on time. It was tasty and filling, what slightly let it all down was that the lamb tikka was a little on the tougher side.

Firstly, I want to say, the company and management that occupied this building since I was a child had the most amazing reputation and was I wrong to believe that this would carry. Do not use their website, prices are wrong, they accused their website of being cloned even though nothing is stated on their 'actual' website not to use it. So there are two websites, make sure you use the right one otherwise you may have wasted your money. Then after calling and caculating the prices from their website which we was directed to, the prices were still inaccurate and came to more even after the 15% off collection. The manager did honour the price of the website so hopefully they will now update the prices. All of this would have been acceptable, IF the food was nice. I don't know after reading reviews if it's better in-house but we had four curry dishes, and all of them were not very nice. The sides were also burnt. The Vindaloo, although meant to be a spicy curry, had no flavour and was extremely spicy. Caution, you may get blisters from the extreme spice and flavourless dish. I will not be returning and if I were you, I would wait until Mr India is reopened or go to one of the other places in Newbury. I will be making a complaint for misinterpretation and scamming on their behalf also for the website error as this will cause issue especially in the current social climate. Our experience was nothing short of spectacular, creating a memory we will cherish and prompting us to mark our calendars for a return visit. Among the stars of the evening were our choices: I indulged in the Chicken Balti, which was a perfect symphony of flavours. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was rich and tangy, with just the right amount of spice to tantalise the palate without overwhelming it. My partner opted for the Rogan Josh lamb, a dish that proved to be a masterpiece of cooking. So whilst walking around Newbury the A board outside Red Peppers Indian Restaurant caught our eye.. "Special Offer Banquet Night £12.95" We decided to give it a go. I enquired into the Mator Paneer and whether this could be mild and come without the peas. The gentleman said that was possible, unfortunately the dish arrived full of peas and was too spicy for me. So, not being into too much spice I elected to have a Chicken Korma, this was lovely, albeit not as mild as I like. The Peshwari Naan was AMAZING. All in all we had a lovely meal (I wish I could eat spice) this is a lovely little restaurant. We would return, but I think I would do my homework to ensure the meal options I ordered were more to my liking. Friendly staff, good price and freshly cooked food

Curry spot on , delivery spot on , bhajis @ £4.50 an absolute joke , 3 of them no bigger than a pebble , work on that and you’ve got a good restaurant

Food arrived after 2 hours and 2 calls. Sadly it arrived tepid at best, popadoms smashed to pieces and the sag aloo and paneer had dried out completely. Not impressed at all and wont order again as I literally ate 3 mouthfuls.

This is how you do curry! Lamb is always tender. Beautifully spiced and piping hot upon arrival. Delivery driver was kind as per usual. Won’t go anywhere else!

Best Curry house in Newbury, have been a frequent customer for years and will continue to do so, great food.

Food was delicious and arrived super early (on boxing day!). Byriani had slightly leaked as it was in a foil container (its rice came in a plastic sealed container?) but nothing got contaminated and it was an easy wipe down. Paratha was best I've had.

The food was absolutely amazing and so delicious .. we will definitely be coming back again. The fact it is nut free my son can finally enjoy it

We have been coming to this restaurant for about a year now. Every time the meal and the service just gets better and better. As a mild curry eater my choices can sometimes feel limited but at Red Peppers i can order mild in so many dishes. Cant complement them enough. A must try.

Just had another amazing experience at Red Peppers in Newbury! The food was outstanding. I had a couple of friends come with me today and they also loved their dishes. The staff were friendly and helpful as always. This time I had a Lena spicy Jinga and a chicken biryani. Highly recommend, everything was fresh and served quick.

Due to a young family we ordered a takeaway… I love fish so had the bhuna and I can say hand on heart it was the best curry I’ve every had full of flavour lots of tender fish… please everyone try it. Jan

If I could rate this higher than 10/10 I would. It’s a cosy little restaurant in the town centre. From the moment we walked in the two young ladies were welcoming and remained professional & friendly throughout, nothing was too much trouble. The place was clean and the service was quick. The best part by far was the food, absolutely delicious, even when we were full we couldn’t stop eating it. It was great value for money and I will definitely go back when I next visit Newbury.

From the quality of the food to the behavior of the staff and the manager's attitude, my visit left much to be desired. The most disappointing aspect of my visit was the food quality. I ordered a variety of dishes, hoping to savor the rich flavors of Indian cuisine. However, what arrived at my table can only be described as a culinary letdown. The dishes were bland, lacked authenticity, and had an overall unpleasant taste. It's clear that there is a serious issue with consistency in their food preparation. The staff's behavior didn't do much to salvage the situation. Throughout my meal, I couldn't help but notice the indifference and lack of hospitality exhibited by the waitstaff. They seemed disinterested in providing a pleasant dining experience, and it was evident that customer satisfaction was not their top priority. Regrettably, the poor service extended to the manager as well. When I tried to express my concerns about the food quality, I was met with an astonishing level of rudeness. The manager not only dismissed my feedback but also displayed an utter lack of professionalism. It's disheartening to encounter such a lack of accountability from the restaurant's management. In conclusion, my visit to Red Peppers Indian Restaurant in Newbury was nothing short of a culinary disappointment. The subpar food quality, indifferent staff, and the rude manager's attitude combined to create an overall unsatisfactory dining experience. Definitely highly recommend. We had a takeaway, & our curries, rice & saag aloo were delicious & reasonably priced. The girl who took our order was lovely, also. Ready within 20 mins & we also had included with our order a bonus veg. curry which we hadn't ordered. All around excellent service!

We called in for a late dinner en route home from a day out . As always, a great welcome from the family. Super service, lovely food and new since we last went, non alcoholic beer for the driver ! Great value . This may not look like a suave resturant but give it a try, the service & food won't disappoint .if you like a hot one, try the chicken naga.

We were driving from Heathrow yesterday. We have been to this restaurant before and it popped into our minds to eat here after a tiring flight and journey back Another fabulous dinner. Everything was super fresh served with elegance and kindness. Recommend it very much to everyone.

Absolutely appalling service, took over an hour to get starters to arrive. stone cold food or clearly dinged in the microwave when the place only had two tables to serve. Absolutely ridiculous, never to return.

Very disappointed, at the time of ordering it gave 30mins delivery time this changed one and half hours ! Accepted thinking it would be worth the wait ! Arrived lukewarm and tasteless in truth I wouldn’t order again from here .. Mr India all the way from now on
