Very nice food. Quick take away option. Great chaps that work in there always welcoming you with a smile. Great vegan options too

We were in early (5.30pm) on a Wednesday and so it was quiet but there were a few other tables by the time we left at 8.30pm (yes we were talking a lot!) Quite a few takeaway orders too. Food and Service was excellent (not our first visit either). Recommended and would eat her again 😋

Ordered a takeaway from Spice Lounge. No flavour / spice in the Bhuna, the poppadoms were stale and rice was dry. Afraid we won’t be ordering from here again

I've ate many many takeaways from here over the last couple of years but last night we went for a sit down meal. Food was perfect as normal and the service fantastic . Highly recommend

Perfectly reasonable curry house. Decor a bit spartan but service is great. Plus good variety of tasty dishes. Some might wish for a higher 'meat' to sauce ratio but price and venue reflects this. Try it if in the area

tasteless.. Usually order take out but stopped this because you get no meat just gravy and when you complain you get, 'we'll speak to the chef' , however usually ok to eat in. This time we are in and it was totally bland and tasteless and just warm with a cold plate, we didn't finish our food it was so bad. We did complain but the usual faff of 'well tell the chef' but we'll still happily make you pay in full even though you left half of it ! Well listen I'd sack this chef and he can go get another career because this one isn't right for him , also this is the same excuse time and time again and now it's boring to be honest, there is clearly an issue here .. I'm local to the village and have been told by others but I make my own decisions... There is a reason this restaurant is no longer packed like it used to be with previous owners ! I'm sure this owner will go in and write himself a positive review with a made up name after this, but please be warned, it's bad so save your money and go to Macdonald's, at least it will taste of something 😞 I never write any reviews so for me to even take 5 minutes out of my life ill never get back must tell you something!

Went to Spice Lounge on the 2nd of Sept for my husbands 80th Birthday along with 16 family and friends. We did let them have our order a few days before . It was a wonderful evening the food was very good the service excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly . The let us take his cake in and decorate before hand. and the put candles on his cake and brought it out at the right time. A wonderful evening was had by all

Great service and fantastic indian food. They serve you a complimentary drink as you wait for your order to be ready. It's definitely one that has now become my local favourite Indian takeaway restaurant.

I visited this restaurant with my family on Wednesday. We ate from the happy meal menu. The food was cooked to perfection. I especially enjoyed the nann bread!!! The staff were friendly and the drinks were flowing without any wait times. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Also I have visited on many occasions the Sunday buffet.

Really lovely food, presented lovely, seems like a popular place for just eat deliveries also. Kind staff, comfortable seating, toilet accessible, i think it's also wheelchair accessible (not sure about the door width etc, but there's no steps to the door). Although we didn't book, i did over hear someone who had booked a table for 8 people that night. Only minus is, it could do with a new lick of paint here and there. Would definitely return.

Had Home made paneer cheese (squishy) on a creamy kashmiri sauce with bananas. They said they have a traditional cook who prepares everything himself. Huge varity of choices. Also good price. Would go again

Have always enjoyed coming for a curry in the local area. Always met and greeted by friendly faces and the staff always go above and beyond. Lovely food - never had a bad meal and would always recommend.

From outside the restaurant looked very run down and tatty but seeing reviews thought it would be good, how wrong we were! We were asked if we were local but said no from then on the service dropped through the floor. We ordered Chicken Korma was so chewy we thought we would get lock jaw , the food was not kept hot for more than minutes. The worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to in over 40 years. The place was empty apart from 1 table I wonder why! I would not recommend, interesting to see the last 5 star reviews were from locals.

Absolutely delicious . went on a Wednesday to Happy Night and came away happy. food was delicious and great value for the money. we tried something different and was not disappointed. Will be going back. Lovely clean environment and very attentive staff .

We eat here both in the restaurant and for take a ways. The food is authentic, flavoursome and good value. My fav is the king prawn madras, but equally the chicken jalfrezi. The staff are very attentive. Would highly recommend.

Great food, fresh and flavoursome. Had a dish I'd never tried before, ingredients explained fully as I have a nut allergy. Super impressed, will be back. Very busy and quite noisy though. Free parking in side street.

First time trying today as I fancied a change from my normal curry house and have to say I was impressed. Nice currys nice rice, only thing I will say is no free popadoms and could have done with a little more meat in the currys but will definitely order again.

We love having a family get-together at the Spice Lounge on a Sunday. Sunday is Buffet Evening - which means we can all meet up and everyone gets to choose something they like without breaking the bank! If you just want to eat starters for the whole meal - why not!! The staff are attentive and polite and the food is of a great quality, always kept topped up and hot. Looking forward to the next visit.

Sunday 27/2 I was looking forward to a nice chicken meal. I ordered two chicken Biryani meals. I stated that one meal should have no chilli or pepper in like the last order. Having collected the meals and arriving home, I noticed that no side vegetables sauce was in the bag. I immediately phoned the resturant and explained that a Biryani meal is always accompanied with a sauce. The sauce was eventually delivered, the rice tray only had a handful of dried chewy chicken, not happy at all, I been eating Indian meals for over 20 years now.

One of the best curry houses we've been to for a long time well done ✔️

Great Food, Worth the Wait Book ahead , If you are in a hurry

I hadn’t heard of this restaurant before but my dad took me, my fiancé and son for a meal. It’s a big restaurant that’s clean and has a nice atmosphere, lovely staff who are helpful and polite. Drinks were brought over promptly, along with starters, which was lovely. My two year old even ate two popadoms to himself they was that lovely. I tried a tawa for the first time which was lovely, succulent meat great flavours! All the food was 10/10 in my eyes we all really enjoyed our meal it was absolutely beautiful. Prices are what you’d expect, staff were on the ball with serving customers and meeting all their needs. I would definitely recommend coming here, now we’ve been once this is where we will be coming all the time now!

I am local in the village and the past 2 takeaway curries we have had from here have been terrible … Overpriced and the taste was simply just salt , added to this only a few pieces of meat and half filled containers .. I am not the only local who has been saying how much this restaurant has gone down hill therefore, I felt compelled to write this review.. We are now going out of the village for our curries ! please sack the chef or teach him how to cook the Great Britain Indian curry, come on guys you must no !! Let’s get it back to what it used to be !

Absolutely beautiful food. No faults at all.

Food was fine. Fairly standard menu and quality but did have some decent specials.

We had a takeaway from spice lounge which was very mediocre and the tikka masala in particular was really tasteless. However we thought we would try a sit in meal now they are open, and were pleasantly surprised. The bengal chicken was particularly tasty and the staff were very firnddly and attentive. Will definitely be coming back.

The food turned up cold and the lamb pasanda had tiny little bits of lamb and a true pasanda should have big bits of lamb and the poppadoms were stale and a waste of £50 wouldn't recommend.

Delivery 1 hour late, when I called told me 5 mins away, naan, chapatis, onion bhaji all stone cold, rest of food warm at best. Called to complain and told them I would keep food and microwave it but I wasn't happy with service, manager said he would call me back to resolve issue and never did. I sent email, still no response!!! I can't complain about the food it's alway ls nice, but passed 3 or four times, delivery is late (and I don't mean 5 mins) or something is missing from order.... Sort the service out.... Tell the truth on delivery times, don't say 40 mins and take 1hour 50mins..... I'll go to Tadley Tandoori next time just becuase of the service and lies...

Delicious food - really tasty. I was disappointed to see that the restaurant are using thick plastic bags to transport takeaways in. If the restaurant were to use paper bags, this would really make it 5 stars for me.

We visited just before the covid-19 lockdown, was great customer service and lovely food, will definitely be visiting again, will be using the takeaway service in the meantime.

Had a takeaway away from here 29/12/2019 and so very disappointed and will not be returning. The full meal is covered with water wasting the taste and couldn’t even finish it. Waste of money.

The best curry I’ve had in ages. My favourite at my (very reputable) local restaurant is Lamb Sag and these guys blew them out of the water! Melt in the mouth lamb and lovely flavours with everything we ordered. We’ll be back very soon :)

Went to the Wednesday night special which should be £13.95 plus soft drink or £3. There were two of us so the price should’ve been. Price should have been £33.90. Bit was charged £42 I didn’t argue with the price I just realised they were trying to run a scam on me so put £50 on the table and just left . They have gained some extra money but lost repeat business and recommendations to friends such a poor show they should rethink how to deal with customers.Best to avoid this place with this kind of attitude

Went to the Wednesday night special any starter any main any vegetable dish any nan or rice £13.95 but got charged £42 for two of us with one soft drink each at £3. So we were overcharged.I will not be visiting this place again as I feel ripped off I left a tip of the change of £50 because obviously they are just after money not a repeat customer. Poor show.

A spontaneous meal at Spice Lounge. Very quiet for a Saturday night so had very .attentive waiters who were all exceptionally friendly. Food was good.

Visited Spice Lounge in Theale today for first time and was impressed. Friendly professional staff, nice decor, light and airy space. Food was really good, large range of dishes, full of flavour and piping hot, can recommend the Chicken Tawa which was delicious. Wide choice of beers and wines available Prices are a pound or so dearer than your average Indian restaurant but worth it. I would recommend Spice Lounge in Theale as a decent place for a really good Indian meal.

Fantastic evening spent here yesterday with work friends. Service was really great and we all ordered different dishes and they were all really tasty. Food didn’t take that long and the service for drinks was quick. Highly recommend to visit here and we will be coming back with work again - this is our second visit

Hemos visitado este restaurante dos veces últimamente y en ambas ocasiones para el buffet del domingo. El restaurante en sí es muy limpio y luminoso y el personal es extremadamente amable y servicial. El buffet del domingo tiene una selección equilibrada de platos y es "todo lo que pueda comer". La comida es muy sabrosa y las alitas de pollo son absolutamente deliciosas, no puedo dejar de comerlas. En ambas ocasiones he dejado aquí absolutamente lleno y para 9. 95 por adulto no puedes equivocarte. Seguramente lo seguiremos usando.

Hice una comida para llevar y comió. Los dos estaban tan mal que envié un correo electrónico a la compañía con una queja. Era tan insípido, que bien podría tener una tortilla. Hasta la fecha, ni siquiera se han molestado en responder. Todo lo que diré es que si te apetece comer allí, mira lo vacío que está, la mayoría de las noches verás quizás 3 mesas ocupadas de 20 +? ? ? ?

I’m not a huge Indian fan, but my husband loves it! The staff here are, without doubt, some of the best I’ve ever come across! I like a korma but with a little added spice, they ensure that it’s prepared exactly as I request. Such friendly and welcoming people with food that is perfectly prepared, hot and tastes just as it should! Can not recommend highly enough.

2 of us went here on a Bank Holiday Monday night for something to eat before watching the football at The Bull pub over the road. The place was clean and quite busy. Service was friendly and the food was very good. The chicken especially was fresh and succulent so wel done to the chef. Worth a visit. They do take aways as well.

I went here to feed my team who were working late. They were truly fabulous. The order wasn't quite ready so they sat me down at the bar with the beer on the house. And the food, when I took it back to the office, was superb. Try the King Prawn Suka if you really want a taste sensation!

We have visited a few times since Flavour of India closed down and recently reopened as Spice Lounge with new staff and management. The food is better than before with prices a little higher but the food is freshly prepared and very tasty. Staff are friendly and have given us a warm welcome. We are glad to have this on our doorstep and would recommend a visit if you’ve not already been.
