Goodies Cafe in West Berkshire

Lovely cooked breakfast, great that you can select exactly which items you want as I personally hate beans and hash browns on a breakfast, so could easily avoid those and have extra mushrooms and tomatoes! Service was efficient, the breakfast was freshly cooked to order. It wasn’t overly greasy and was piping hot. Very much enjoyed. Giving 4 stars only because the cutlery is absolutely terrible to use! Knife blunt and uncomfortable to hold (jabs into hands), and as the bacon was slightly overdone (I don’t mind, I prefer it this way that the other) the knife was useless for cutting through it which was a tad annoying. This said, if passing through Lambourn again would absolutely return. Many thanks.

Fabulous value and great quality lunch. Home made Chilli & Ham/Egg/Chips with lovely tea. Great stopover in our way down South. A real gem, busy, friendly and good service.

We visit here quite often and are never disappointed. We both had Bacon Rolls and cups of tea. All the food looks good and breakfast’s seem very popular. Great Cakes too. Highly Recommend

Great cafe for a lunch stop. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is lovely, freshly cooked using quality ingredients. The Lasagne is amazing if you can manage the huge portion. I love their BLT and the cake selection. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I and two friends visited Goodies Cafe in Lambourn earlier this week and I am sorry to report that it was a disappointment compared to our experience at the previously owned café under the name of “Honesty Cafe” on the same site when we visited in May 2018. The only table left conducive to having a chat was unfortunately by the front door which obviously meant that people kept coming and going into and out of the cafe. My friend treated us to refreshments and I asked for a red berry tea and a slice of yoghurt topped flapjack. I was expecting to be served with a pot of tea whereas in fact the tea was served in just a cup. The other members of the group were duly served their drinks and food and after a wait of a few minutes I had to go up to the counter to ask for my cake which had been forgotten. The ambience of the café has changed-regrettably not for the better. Our visit to the village of Lambourn was further ruined by our experience at The George later in the day following a walk in the attractive countryside which surrounds the village.

Was recommended this little cafe by the locals who I’m house-sitting for. Really great coffee and cracking doorstop style sandwiches on the freshest bread. Really nice atmosphere too with friendly staff. Going to try the cakes before I leave!

Best breakfast ive tasted , would highly recommend. Staff are really friendly as well and always have a smile on their faces. Very customer orientated.

We visit Goodies a lot for breakfast/lunch. Jamie’s breakfast is the best in the area and we love eating here. Lunch and cake is amazing to. Danielle, Jamie and all the team make you feel so welcome and nothing is to much trouble. An amazing place to visit.

Wow, it was busy today. As one table emptied, it was filled by the next party! Everyone happy to wait a little bit longer for the food and everyone served in order meant lots of satisfied customers. Food was delicious as always, staff were excellent as usual, with smiley happy faces.

Popped in for Hot Chocolate and Coffee. Very busy place which is good, plenty of space. Good menu choice, we will be back.

The village car park is right next to the shop and is FREE so no issues finding parking. Great free WiFi to.Lovely leather sofas to watch the world go by, tables & chairs outside or seats in doors if you prefer a proper meal.

Excellent cafe. Very good covid arrangements. Seating outdoors as well as inside. Breakfast all day. Lots of cakes and main meals. All on one level. Accessible toilet. Staff very nice. Lots of soft drinks. Bus services workdays. Blue badge parking at rear in car park.

I came across this lovely cafe whilst out and about on my Motorbike. I stopped off for a bacon sandwich and cup of tea. Great food. Friendly welcoming staff. I will definitely be returning and will recommend to family and friends.

I just had a brie, bacon and cranberry panini. It's AMAZING. It's oozing with brie and comes with a great side salad. We have several different meals from here, all have been fantastic. You must try.

Had a tasty and very reasonably priced full English breakfast here. Cooked to order, everything was piping hot and fresh, you could see the cook preparing it on the griddle behind. Thought for the price it was excellent. Would recommend and go again.
