The most rudest and unacceptable service you could ever possibly think to get ! Shocking 😳 and I was served by the owner/manager My son thought she was racist she said that she couldn’t change my £20 note after I purchased something for £4.49 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon what place would not have change of a £20 note. NEVER WOULD VIST HERE AGAIN

Love Coffee Shop in Yattendon with love country feel décor in keeping with the area it's located in. Staff were friendly and very helpful with a very quick service on our visit. Cake choices were abundant and was hard to choose which one I would like as I would have had them all!!😋 Coffee choices were very good and didn't seem to cost the earth. I would definitely visit again if in Yattendon ☕🍰

What an amazing find. We came to visit the Living Rainforest and arrived early. Wanted a bite to eat and found this lovely little cafe. Staff are super friendly and polite. Latte was made perfect. I had the buttermilk pancakes, maple syrup and bacon. The husband had the Full Monty cooked breakfast. Neither disappointed. Would highly recommend and would love to explore the area more and definitely come back.

Decided to drop in on a whim for Breakfast. Lady behind the till wasn't the most welcoming and gave a couple of curt answers to our difficult questions of "whether we could have a table?" and then asking if we needed to order at the counter as a menu was thrust upon us. Decided to order the breakfasts (quite pricey - at £14.50 each) and a couple of drinks (at the counter). Got back to the table and then thought I was over charged so went back to the counter to be told "theres a service charge added and a receipt was handed to me!" Service charge? For ordering my own food and collecting my own drinks from the counter??" Food was very good and tasty ( The full english was very good, however the Avo with Bacon seemed over priced in comparison). Despite the good food, and the questionable tactics of adding money to a bill without advising or asking, we wont be going back purely for the curt (blonde) lady behind the till ( In contrast, the lady that brought the food to us was lovely as was the girl who was making the coffees)

The food is ok but £14.50 for poached eggs (one hard) on one slice of toast with guacamole (not the fresh avo slice I was expecting) and 2 rather dry pieces of bacon. Really ? And I was quoted £2 for an extra slice of toast . Really?. Then they have the nerve to charge you service when you are the one that has to go to the toll to order and to pay. All they do is bring the plates the few steps to the table . Really? All items similarly overpriced. Not very welcoming either.

The Pantry is a staple in our life, consistently providing excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's our go-to spot for showing visiting friends a slice of Berkshire village life and our comfort place for a pick-me-up slice of cake during tough times. The perfect stopover! I commute across the M4 frequently, and was forever fed up with the noisy services at Membury and Chieveley. Just 5-8 minutes from Junction 13, I can guarantee it's an infinitely, nicer, quieter and more tasty stopover! The staff are absolutely delightful, (as well as being situated in the beautiful village of Yattendon, if you fancy a walk around), deliciously well made coffee, cakes, sandwiches and cooked breakfasts, and plenty of easy parking. It's also dog friendly, vegan and gluten free friendly, and provides all alternative milks. Highly recommend!!!

A surprise find on our way to the North. We stopped for coffee and cake in this beautiful Berkshire village of half timbered English houses. The cafe was most welcome with a fine selection of cakes and coffees. Should you wish to purchase some local honey, then this is the place. Other items can be purchased here, for example, candles and have a variety of olive oils infused with different flavours, such as blueberries, blood orange, etc. If you are passing through on a Thursday, then you may see the fishman from Devon who passes through with a wide selection of fish.

No, we were looking for somewhere to have breakfast right off the highway and although this was about 15 minutes away from the main highway it was definitely worth the stop. Our breakfast was delicious and so much love was put into each dish. I had the eggs Benedict and it was delicious and my daughter had the avocado toast and it came with a really good chili jam which wasn’t spicy. Coffee was also spectacular. We booked The Pantry tearoom for afternoon tea to celebrate my dad's birthday. On arriving at the tearoom the table hadn't been set correctly for the number of guests. The tea itself was rather disappointing, we all felt there wasn't enough food to go round - the portion sizes were limited and the actual sizes of the cakes & scones were tiny. It definitely wasn't worth the £140 that we paid out for sadly. Its a shame.

I love the pantry and the cakes are always DELICIOUS. However, recently, the prices have gotten ridiculous. I'd be happy paying £7.50 for 2 tasty homemade brownies if they were large like they used to be. But for more of a 'finger' size, it feels like they have just been cut in half and made more expensive. Its understandable for businesses to need to raise prices...but not at the same time as halving all the portion sizes! Please serve decent sizes to reflect the price!

We reserved a table for lunch yesterday (following a previous visit for afternoon tea a few months ago). On arrival we requested a table change due to accessibility/height of the reserved table (we had small children and an adult with mobility issues). The staff member who swapped us to a different table made us feel like we were being a nuisance. We didn't feel very welcome. Our food then took over an hour to arrive. The food itself was really nice, but the lack of a warm welcome and the food delay ruined what should have been a lovely lunch.

The little skewers were nice. The lemon sole and ravioli special were satisfyinf and tasty dishes, but the mackeral was very ordinary and the crab souufle was disappointingly small. The menu offers mackeral with aubergines, but the amount of aubergines was derisory. The crab accompaniment of leeks was a thimblefull, and one should request a magnifying glass to find the tomatoes with the potatoes. The worst was the cider - we ordered half pints and got tiny portions in wine glasses. My guest is a member of the gourmet Food Writers' Guild and even she was surprised by the meanness. The service was OK, but not worth the fixed charge of 12.5%.
