Coffee Aroma in Vale of White Horse

Meet couple of friends for coffee and cake, what a lovely find. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and carrot cake lovey big slices and tasty.

Food was served freshly cooked and in good time. Meals were well cooked and the ingredients were fresh, including a nice crisp, side salad. Drinks were hot and well flavoured. Staff were courteous, helpful, friendly and welcoming. Busy but not stressful, crowded, rushed or frenetic. Lovely family feeling where managers treat customers like family. Saw lots of people with disabilities using the cafe in physical and emotional comfort. My autistic son was treated warmly and was calm throughout, even wanted to stay longer. Staff have him a paper bag so he could take the rest of his cake home for later. The cafe was very clean, comfortable and warm. We will definitely be having lunch at Cafe Aroma again.

Tried this place today for coffee and cake. Lovely service, they have alternative milks for the coffees which is great. They have a mixture of cakes, baguettes and hot food on their menu. Really pleased to find this place

Arrived tired after a long day walking and thought they were about to close. Warmly encouraged to come in despite the fact they were clearing up, made really welcome. Excellent cake, especially recommend the tiffin made with gingernuts.

Over charged for a glass of milk,clearly said £1.50 on the menu board was charged£2.50. No apology and took two attempts to get a refund.Scrambled egg on toast very poor, one piece of dry toast with a solid bouncy,not scrambled egg£4.50. won't be returning here.

Entered the shop to find two guys without a mask in place . Approached them and was advised I’ve had it so no problems . How ignorant we queued for 5 minutes and left . The service was very slow and why didn’t the lady member of staff refuse to serve these two guys without a mask ! Disgraceful . We will not return

Had scampi and chips , well that's what they call it, I was served I tiny portion of 6 pieces of minced fish in breadcrumbs with a tiny portion of chips, later the same day I bought pills for an upset stomach , so the food was a waste of money and of an atrocious standard, I'll never enter this cafe again. Minimum one star, I'd give minus 3 if I could.

Only doing takeaway at the moment due to the lockdown. Limited choice, but can't expect everything to be available when few people are going in. We both had tasty and fresh rolls and nice coffee at a reasonable price, served by friendly staff. Only criticsm is that the paper coffee cups are very flimsy - possibly trying to save the planet, but very bendy and hot resulting in spillage. Good safety/hygiene measures.

Popped in for a coffee on a weekend away, and to rest our feet. Fabulous welcome by jovial host. Prompt, polite service. coffee delicious and a varied selection of cakes. This visit made our day.

I order a afternoon tea for a birthday present they said it was lovely and really enjoyed it keep up the good work guys will definitely order again

I ordered afternoon tea yesterday and it was delivered on time. The presentation was first class and the sandwiches and cakes were very nice. I would like to say thank you to Tasha for doing an excellent job. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and will be ordering again. Keep up the good work.

Open for takeaway only at the moment. Quick service by a friendly member of staff but considering hygiene is paramount at the moment this was sadly lacking here. The assistant had no protective gloves and picked up our cake with his bare hands, then touched the takeaway cups and then the till. No awareness of the current guidance for “staying safe”. I think I’ll avoid for now.

Friendly, decent service! Michael was particularly welcoming. I went in for some breakfast before I started work and they didn’t disappoint at all. Well priced too!

We needed a pit stop urgently and dived in here as it looked nice and clean (and it was) - the counter display looked very inviting, but for us it was just a coffee. Unfortunately neither of us liked our coffee very much - too weak and as we were in a rush we simply left. It was spacious and clean and probably good for a snack - maybe next time we're in Abingdon.

We had an excellent visit today having been told by other coffee shops that dogs were not allowed and we’d have to sit outside ... in the rain! At Coffee Aroma there was friendly service, great cakes, very good tea and coffee, but best of all they were dog friendly!

Nice little coffee shop on the main road. Nice and quiet. Clean and tidy very polite staff. As for a coffee shop 10/10 coffee is very nice. But was disappointed in the breakfast eggs was over cooked for my liking. Bacon and sausage been microwaved. 3/10. I’m not a person to complain. But wouldn’t eat there again. Nice place thou

Great spot for a good espresso. Plenty of space to sit near the rear and get on with work on their wifi or to have a quiet chat with someone, whilst the front always seems to have a healthy flow of customers - often welcomed by the effusive owner, Michael, a great asset for hospitality in Abingdon - if you don't catch him here, then you will probably find him later in his Lebanese restaurant round the corner, in Bath Street, in the evening.

Very disappointing Greek salad - contained lettuce, tomato, cucumber, sweetcorn, olives and feta, so a little uninspiring. The portion size for the price I paid was extremely disappointing. I ordered a side of coleslaw which was very obviously shop bought and not home made, for an extra £1.

Popped in with a friend for a coffee and cake. Black coffee was lovely and in a decent sized cup. Pastries were fresh and tasty. Staff friendly.

Popped in for the first time under its new management. The manager is very polite, smiley and on the ball. Was going to have a wholemeal baguette but unfortunately ( or fortunately as it turned out ), they were out. So spotting the splendid jacket being eaten and a near by table went for that instead. My wife had the tuna mayo and I had the coronation chicken both very nice in themselves but what elevated the lunch was the quality of the potato. The side salad was also very tasty and filling as well.

We were passing through Abingdon, found the cafe, liked the look of its menu, so decided to give it a go. The gentleman behind the counter was very welcoming and charming. We chose moussaka and lasagne and both were very good. No complaints!

I popped in on a Wednesday afternoon to grab a quick iced coffee to go.. the gentleman serving was very lovely and polite but did not seem to know what he was doing. I asked for a simple vanilla iced latte...and what I was given was a pint of full fat milk, half a shot of espresso topped with heavy double cream.. oh and an inch of sugar syrup sunken to the bottom

Now the new owner has had some time to settle in it's started to get better. We didn't order food - just drinks. We paid and then the owner brought them over. He's very keen to please and I will be coming back.

Staff are very friendly and polite. Service is always quick. Wide variety of food and drink. Overall excellent place to come.

This was my favourite place to come when it was under its original management but unfortunately it's not quite the same now. I still love this place as you can get fresh food made to order but it's much slower to arrive than my experiences from the past.

We came here for a quick lunch. We were at the end of a queue. Eventually we got to the counter and placed our order of a ham salad baguette with mayo, tea, cheese baked potato, salad with no sweet corn and a coke. It took 30 minutes for the order to arrive but it failed as there was no mayo and sweet corn. This could have been lost in translation.

A lot of space to sit back and have a good coffee, whilst quietly getting some work done on my laptop - decent wifi connection.

The panini I ordered to take out was bad, very dry with hardly any filling. It also took an age for it to be cooked. Service was miserable as well.

Cafe Aroma is a mere stone's throw from my apartment and as such I use it a lot. There coffee is delicious and their staff always friendly, polite and accommodating. I hate it when baristas overheat the milk, call it one of my idiosyncrasies! Whenever I walk in the staff know what my order will be - large latte, not too hot please! It's not in any way a fancy type of establishment but I like that and it's certainly very much a hub for locals to grab a drink and a bite. As with every town, we have the chain competitor coffee shops but Cafe Aroma offers better value for money to my mind and I like to support local, independent vendors in any case.

Ordered a hot sausage and bacon baguette and a hot bacon bree and tomato baguette along with a coffee and a fruit juice. After 15 - 20 minutes were asked if a panini would be acceptable instead of a baguette with the bacon bree and tomato. We said that it would be. Just over half an hour after ordering our food, we were served a cold sausage and bacon baguette and a bacon and bree panini with no tomato! Maybe would have bewn understandable if the place was busy, but it wasn't. Will not visit again.

Genuinely the worst coffee I have ever tasted! And a can of coke cost £1.40!!! Avoid at all costs! On the plus side friendly staff!

Tenía un semestre tratan con los niños para el almuerzo, con espaciosos cafe perfecto buggy! Gran selección de sándwiches, baguettes, etc. todos recién hechos a la vista de los clientes. Todos tuvimos sándwiches tostados, chocolate caliente, café y tarta, no sólo la comida deliciosa y café caliente fue servido con una sonrisa y entusiasmo, una joven rubia. Ella amablemente a mesa compramos comida y tratamos con mis niños pidiendo comida, cuya cuya era hace mucho cuando el personal hablar a los más pequeños en vez de negarlas. A través de la charla descubrimos el nombre de jóvenes mujeres, Mia.

Vine aquí para una reunión de negocios/almuerzo. La baguette era preciosa, al igual que el café con leche que tenía. Nos sirvió una señorita muy amable. Yo creo que su nombre era Mia ella parecía muy feliz en su trabajo.

Me llamó recientemente y pedí un capuchino en £2 regular. 20. Después de arar a través de la leche materna y con espuma, me pareció que tenía sólo la mitad de una taza (si eso) de café, lo que pregunté. Me dijeron que me habían dado un shot de café en mi taza y que era correcto. Nunca me han dado la mitad de una taza de café en cualquier otro cafe - que han sido siempre lleno casi hasta la cima, por desgracia, no me llaman a Café Aroma de nuevo.

Popped in for some lunch and had an amazing chicken mozzarella panini! The bread/panini itself was delicious and really generous portions but not enough to stop me having a ice cream after.. some of the best mint choc chip I've had. The staff are really friendly too, nice personal touch. Definitely going back once I've burnt off the ice cream.

Después de oír que las tazas de café no eran reciclables fui a preguntar sobre esto. El director me dijo que no estaba dispuesto a hablar sobre ello y me dijo para salir. Él era grosero y agresivo. No voy a ir allí de nuevo. Sólo ir allí si quieres una pelea con el propietario.

You could easily walk past this coffee house but please don't. They sell the most delicious cakes and coffee. Their toasted bacon sandwiches are to do die for. Baguettes and cakes are pretty good too! All served quickly and with a smile.

Excellent freshly prepared food especially the baguettes and salads. Nice atmosphere where you can meet all the regulars. Very friendly staff. Last of all - superb fresh coffee.

Ideal for coffee, lunch and light snacks, good place to meet with friends. The food is good and reasonably priced, lots of choice from sandwiches, cakes, ice cream to light lunches. Good selection of coffees.

El personal en el Café Aroma son muy amables y serviciales. Junto con una clientela regulares y cómodos asientos, lo cual proporciona un ambiente relajado sentimiento de comunidad - aunque puede igualmente que sea un poco ruidoso a veces!
