The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

I was with a friend and we both chose the same thing Croque Madam on October 7. Was a lovely day and a super location so we sat outside. I ordered my CM without mozzarella cheese. My friends CM arrived all nice and toasted but mine was pale and smeared on the top with bechamel sauce which gave it a soggy top and didn’t even look toasted. I looked inside mine and managed to eat some of the bottom bread and a few of the mushrooms but the whole thing didn’t have any flavour. The chef had even forgotten to add Dijon mustard to mine, I knew this as my B sauce was pure white and my friends was yellow. Never seen two of the same dishes look so different and wasn’t to do with the mozzarella. I could hardly eat it so returned the enclosed plate to the she lady who had served us but she was now sitting comfortably on a nice chair on her phone. I explained the above to her, no offer of a refund or part refund, she could see i had hardly eaten anything she just said she would tell the chef. Shocking to pay and leave hungry.

Was not expecting this much choice of great beverages and cakes. So many seats inside and out as well. Very well made cup of coffee with option of hot or cold milk. Lovely service as well

Came here for the second time yesterday. Our first visit was disappointing—the kiosk wasn’t open, and the food kiosk wasn’t selling coffee. We had also noted how extremely slow and unbothered the staff seemed, so it was unfortunate to return and be spoken to so rudely by a member of staff behind the counter. We went to get two teas from the kiosk, as it was finally open. The young man who took our order asked us to wait at the next window, so we did. We stood there for around 10 minutes, watching a girl faff around with the Mr. Whippy machine. I noticed no one was making drinks, yet the boy continued to take more orders, and a very long queue was forming. After the girl finally finished making one ice cream, she handed it to us. I corrected her and said, “Sorry, no—we’re waiting for two teas.” She abruptly replied, “Well, I’ve just been topping up the machine for ice cream and your tea is being made.” (It wasn’t.) I was taken aback by her tone and confused as to why she took such offense. I had simply and politely said we were waiting for tea. Or did she expect us to take someone else’s ice cream? She then shoved two tea bags into cups of scalding water and passive-aggressively handed them to us, sarcastically saying, “Here’s your teas!” Clearly, she has had no training in customer service, and it seems the staff overall need training in how to work in a fast-paced environment. Summer is coming, and I dread to think what it will be like if the staff are still faffing about making one ice cream while the person on the till can’t multitask.

SALLY!! You are the most gorgeous human and deserves all the recognition! You were so helpful and kind to not just me but everyone in that store! A very special human I met today and all she did was pass me a drink! We need more Sally’s !

16 of us enjoyed great food and perfect service. Sue and her new team at the Swan gave us half the pub and the best Christmas meal together that I can remember, with menu choices that catered well for all of us.

We were passing through and booked for supper in the bar and Brasserie. Our family had such a warm welcome from Reception and the Restaurant team. We were so impressed with the brilliant food and service. Especially Allison's attention to detail. Our evening felt like an unexpected Michelin service experience. Thank you all. A Lovely welcome home All this while the hotel was busy with functions. Impressive.

When I need a breather, Coffee Aroma is the place I go for a "cafe solo", a real spanish style single or double shot expresso that is smooth, silky, hot and refreshing. The prices are not what I would call expensive for what you get. The staff are polite and attentive, and I often meet the owner who could not be more welcoming - it is a charming and quiet place, and my favorite seat is the sofa at the back of the cafe.

Part of our Christmas tradition is a walk into town with our dogs and treat ourselves to coffee and cake on Christmas Eve. The staff are what make this place so good. Adele the manager is a fantastic leader and the interactions we had with her, Caleb and Drew were great. Nothing was too much trouble, service with a smile despite being very busy. My only real gripe is that the company don’t allow the team to accept gratuities which is such a shame as we do like to reward great service. I own a hospitality business and the new laws surrounding gratuities to add a layer of admin but it’s not too tricky and the staff deserve to be rewarded for good service so please, head office, sort this out. Thank you for making the start of our family Christmas lovely again this year.

This place really isn't what it used to be, lacklustre, disinterested service, when I asked for my sausage roll to be heated up I was told it wasn't possible. No apology. It arrived from the chiller cabinet which was set to 5.c. There's a restaurant kitchen 20ft away, which presumably has an oven or microwave. Please check try harder.

Not up to usual Pret standards. Service was disinterested and surly, only 2pm but very little choice left in the racks. The sandwich and baguette we chose were both quite dry and tired, only the coffee was ok.

The place was empty and the 2 ladies working there were too busy chatting to each other (turned away from the counter) to notice anyone waiting. Tried to get their attention but music was loud and was ignored. We were clearly an inconvenience so we won’t return.

The chef must hate food, ordered cheesy chips and nachos. How the f could someone f up a basic dish.... chips tasted like polystyrene. The nachos cheese was solid plastic. I would not be surprised if this place closed down in the near future.
