The Old Greenhouse

Fishbourne, Chichester, 45-60£
10/06/2018: We had heard about The Old Greenhouse from neighbours so being fairly new to the area we booked with a group of six friends eager to see what this mysterious book only small restaurant was all about.
09/06/2018: This is a very special dining experience!

The Woodmancote Pub

Crab & Lobster

Sidlesham, Chichester
20/06/2018: nice atmosphere, food quality is ok service is 5 stars but you pay for it drinks very expensive a bottle of j2o is £5
19/06/2018: Everything was just right. The food is always of high quality and it didn’t disappoint us this time. The service is exemplary. The menu always present a good choice, with all of the ingredients freshly prepared. We drove for over an hour to get to the restaurant, it was well worth it!

Midhurst, Chichester, <20£
18/06/2018: I came across this hidden gem whilst out for a ride on my motorbike. I needed a drink and something to eat. Fitzcanes was the perfect solution.
18/06/2018: Stopped here for brunch this morning having seen it on TripAdvisor and it met all our expectations. Lovely food (I had the full monty and my wife had the eggs royale). Both were cooked to perfection and served with a smile in lovely clean surroundings. What more do you want from a food Servery? We also received helpful and informative advice from the staff about The Midhurst road closures- what a nightmare that has been for local businesses. Well done Fitzcanes. We’ll be back for sure.

Waves Cafe and Sandwich Bar

Selsey South, Chichester
18/06/2018: Great café Do different size breakfast to suit differing appetites. Always has specials on. Cooked to order, always hot. Serving staff good and polite. Great sandwich bar and take out
12/06/2018: Came to selsey for a week and came to waves everyday. Every meal we had was hot till the very last bite and the grandchildren said the chicken nuggets were the best they had ever had . We had friends came to visit us who...

The Deck

Southbourne, Chichester
19/06/2018: i visited the deck over the May bank holiday, on the sunday. it wasn't busy when we arrived, and majority of people sat downstairs were being served by the takeaway station. it was extremely hot indoors and we didnt notice a single fan or AC unit so asked to sit outside on the terrace. there was no shade, and in an attempt to put an umbrella up we were told it had broken in the storms and they hadn't repaired it yet (it had been more than long enough to repair an umbrella). when we went to move to the one table under another umbrella we were told it was reserved- turned out the 6 seater table had been reserved by just two!! people who had been sitting inside and i guess they fancied a change of scenery?
18/06/2018: Great relaxed place. Nice fresh food. Throughly recommend. Lovely outdoor tables, there was music when we were there. Very chilled.

Midhurst, Chichester
18/05/2018: This place is a real 'find', do go along and enjoy what they have to offer. Also sell chutneys, pickles and other fare. Will definetely be going back again.
08/05/2018: Coffee, bacon, toast and a poached egg. Nothing exciting on the face of it except, the coffee was excellent, the top quality bacon packed with flavour, the toast made with artisan bread and everything was cooked perfectly. Smashing little place with friendly service. I cannot remember having a more enjoyable breakfast.

Drift-In Surf Cafe

East Wittering, Chichester
16/06/2018: friendly helpful staff, welcomed the children, varied tasty menu. Would recommend and will definitely go back when next at the Witterings
15/06/2018: We popped in for a quick lunch all five of us - 3 kids aged 6-9, myself and my partner. It looks great, part shop, ice-cream parlour and cafe. Nicely decorated and not too over cool to make you feel uncomfortable. Loved the smoothies and choices for kids and the great toasted sandwiches and salads.. with lively little ones they were thoughtful and helped them settle with no scolding looks. We all enjoyed our stop there and will make it a regular hang out... might even think about surfing one day! PS kids loved the old classic scooters shining in the sunshine on display outside..

Half Moon Inn

Wisborough Green, Chichester
21/06/2018: Myself and my partner came to The Half Moon last night for dinner. We were able to bring the dogs which was great, as long as we sat in the bar or garden. As it was such a beautiful evening, we chose to sat outside. What a great decision! Table service throughout the evening which was exceptional, it was a breath of fresh air to see the waitresses with smiles on their faces and every dish was explained perfectly. It is clear the staff are very knowledgable about each course and show great passion. The food is beautiful, care and love has really been put into each meal and we enjoyed it greatly! Dogs were looked after, setting was amazing as the garden is south facing. I have to say we will be back, soon hopefully!
21/06/2018: Visited The Half Moon mid week for a meal with friends having heard good reports about the food and new chef. From the moment we entered the staff were first class . The bar staff made a delightful espresso martini and we sat in the garden to eat from the al la carte menu . The hi light for me was the pea custard but my fellow diners think the sweetbreads or lamb main should be top choice . The garden and decor inside is beautiful and the waitress was happy to chat when we questioned her about the chef and vegetable plot . Price for four was £220 including tip but that was with bottle of wine and several cocktails . A pleasant evening and hoping to go back for Jodie's curry and quiz .

Duke of Cumberland

Easebourne, Chichester
18/06/2018: Wow, I wish this was my local, I would be broke though. Meal was excellent, staff were excellent once we were seated. Only blip was we were served drinks when arrived but not shown through to our table but left in the bar. We would come again. It was very tempting to sit outside after the meal as there was a lovely fire going.
13/06/2018: By far the best pub we have ever been to or will go to!

The Cafe by Lucy Armstrong Chocolates

East Wittering, Chichester, <20£
14/06/2018: First time visit, Staff very friendly and cafe very clean and tidy. Excellent Coffee and great choice of cakes all homemade it was hard to decide what to have.
01/04/2018: Popped in for a hot chocolate after a walk along the beach and was surprised by the friendly, calm atmosphere, delicious hot drinks and lovely staff. Reasonably priced for the quality and you have to try the homemade marshmallows!!

The Anchor Bleu

Bosham, Chichester, <20£
21/06/2018: We stopped in here for lunch after a great morning cycling round the quay watching the sailing. The welcome from all staff was lovely. Humorous, friendly and informative. The food was good and prices acceptable. Nice outdoor spaces and you can park your bike out of the way no problem. Overall a good lunch stop.
15/06/2018: Visited for lunch with friends and though a lovely sunny day there was a good amount of seating outside as well as inside. Lovely setting down by the water. Very friendly staff. Good choice of beers and a really good menu, which is written on the blackboards (no need to ask if there are menus). Water on tap you can help yourself to at anytime. I would recommend

The Glasshouse

Stedham, Chichester
04/03/2018: This isn't just a café it's a unique environment. Set in the greenhouses of a proper plant nursery, not a retail therapy garden centre, the mismatched (but oh-so-comfy)furniture and crockery make it feel homely. The staff are friendly and attentive, and made a fuss of our dogs and the coffee is good and strong, with huge scones and butter for elevenses.
10/12/2017: It's not often that you find a cafe in a greenhouse, but it works. All homemade food, very friendly service from the owner - the ideal coffee stop while you're buying your bedding plants. Open during the opening hours of the garden centre/nursery.

The Seal Pub & Restaurant

Selsey South, Chichester
28/05/2018: This is my in-laws local. The resturant area is a bit gloomy but the food is utterly brilliant. I had a steak and wine pie. Many resturants will fill a pie with gravy and a bit of meat. The Seal stack theirs with huge bits...
26/05/2018: Probably one of the nicest pies I have eaten. Friendly staff and good service. Beef rib melted in the mouth of my friend. Good value for money

Wyevale Garden Centres

Chichester North, Chichester
30/05/2018: as one would expect lovely surroundings in this garden centre all the plants or the vast majority have been well kept and nourished but as in most place some plants have seen better days but you will always get a reduction on these....Great for a Cup of Tea and a natter and to pass away a couple of hours..
14/12/2017: Christmas lunch, starter lovely prawn cocktail, main Turkey with ALL the trimmings, which was ok but it would have been nicer if the veg was in bowls so we could help ourselves, there was to much on the plate!! Also not very hot. Dessert we had the strawberry roulade, not enough strawberries!!! The really good thing was it was cooked fresh.
