Perfect, mouth-watering, delicious, excellent. There are not enough words in the English language to express how tasty today's lunch was. Thank you again for a superb meal. Topped off with a wonderful spotted dick and custard.

First time ordering a salad from this fantastic cafe, (Their chicken wrap is delicious) I'll definitely be ordering one again. Made beautifully by the lovely Lou, absolutely jam packed with flavour 😍

Working local to Waves Cafe at the moment so thought we would try the cafe out and we were not disappointed. Lovely big breakfast at a great price. Lots on the menu to choose from and the staff were all great. 10/10 would highly recommend trying here.

Staff went the extra mile to accommodate our double buggy and even gave our daughter one of their pumpkins as it was her birthday. Went today for a breakfast, service is excellent, the staff are so friendly, cheerful and attentive. Food came out on hot plates and was very well cooked and tasted great. The cafe is light and clean and very inviting. Really enjoyed our visit, we have tried all the cafes in Selsey and Waves is definitely our favourite and has become a regular place to go.

First time visit here, on a high street with loads of choice. Such excellent staff, service and food, nothing was too much trouble, they even cooked something for a fussy pants that wasn’t on the menu. Will definitely be back!!

Waves Cafe carried out the catering for my wife's Funeral, very professional and approachable. The buffet was presented in a professional way, delivered on time and well presented, good value as well, highly recommended, will defiantly be using again.

Lovely food great selection does London pie mash too !! A great location on selsey high street the coffee is great food fantastic at very reasonable prices if you want a breakfast or nice lunch in selsey no better place and check out the garden it's great

Just came in here for liver and bacon and I must say FANTASTIC!!!!! Been in Selsey for 2 months and this is my 1st visit to this cafe, but many more visits to go!

My partner and I used to come to the cafe every weekend without fail, but since lockdown and moving out of area we stopped going. We went last week after it reopened and everything was still as delicious as before! And everything looks so lovely after its renovation. We are going again today as a treat and will start going more regularly! Lovely options and fabulous staff!

What a beautiful family run cafe! The new decor is so fresh and bright. The staff are attentive and polite.I had a southern fried chicken wrap which was delicious!All the food was served piping hot and quickly.I would definitely recommend Waves for a family lunch.

It recently got a refurbishment and it looks a lot more modern! The food served here is great, the value is amazing and the staff are always lovely. It's a nice welcoming place and I recommend it if you're visiting selsey.

I’ve been going to waves for years and the food is always great (the bread used for sandwiches is from the bakery opposite and it’s so good) and the staff are always so lovely. Highly recommend especially with their new make over and more sustainable approach.

Waves closed for a while and was worried it wouldn’t reopen as Waves again. However recently opened with new fantastic decor and the food is fabulous, large portions and steaming hot. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be coming again!! Thank you

I have been visiting Waves for a number of years now, and in this time have never been disapointed. Whether going for the Mega Breakfast or a Roast, Adrian pulls out all the stops to accomodate your every wish. Today I had the Homemade Steak Pie with mashed potato and baked beans, as always it was fantastic. The rest of the staff are always polite and helpful, and it is great to see Aimee working her magic.

Lovely staff, vary welcoming and the food is spot on. Fussy about my bacon and went the extra mile to remove the fat. Would highly recommend waves cafe

Me and my friend went in for some food at about 13:00 looking desperately for some breakfast and luckily for us, Waves does all day breakfast and I can’t recommend the place more the food was amazing and when I said it came quickly I mean it! We weren’t waiting anymore than 5 mins! The staff were absolutely lovely. Me being a waitress myself, I knew what they were going through with it being a full cafe but all had big smiles and were so welcoming the second we stepped through the door.Thank you so much! And to anyone who is visiting or just in the area please check Waves out you will not be disappointed!!

We have waited all summer for Waves to open up again after their fantastic looking make over. We drove from Basingstoke to Selsey 55 miles after hearing they were open again. Waves did not disappoint the food was lovely and the staff super friendly. Overall fantastic love eating there.

This is a great cafe in a great location by the sea.What wonderful people who gifted us a meal as we are currently walking the whole UK coast path for charities mind and children in need!! Refreshments were so needed and greatlfully appreciated thanks so much x

we was staying down the road at Bunn Leisure park and took a stroll down the high street and fancy a cuppa and come in here lovely clean place spotless service very good staff polite lovely cuppa food come out looked lovely would of eaten but we just had breakfast will next time see you again soon

Had lunch here. The service and food was excellent. Everything was in place regarding covid 19 including hand sanitiser on the table.

Visited Waves last week whilst on holiday with family. There were eight of us and a small dog. Luckily Waves is dog friendly with outdoor seating at the rear. Had fresh quality food and very friendly fast service. We went there to eat again on our last day as we enjoyed it so much. We arrived near closing time but staff were happy to allow us extra time so we didn't have to rush our food. Great place, great food and wonderful staff. We'd definitely come again and recommend anyone else to. Five stars from us, thank you

Went to Selsey for breakfast and our usual cafe was closed, so we ended up in Waves, Not sure if we will go back as the breakfast we had was fantastic, best breakfast for a long time, very friendly staff, great value. Thank You

If you want the best traditional full English for Breakfast then you will have trouble getting any better than Waves. Excellent food, friendly service and great prices. Having travelled all around Sussex for a good breakfast this has to rate at the top of the list.....we will be back..!!

The food was amazing and I must say I could not fault the staff what so ever the service was impeccable they are all very lovely and me and my grandma can sure enough say we will be returning to the cafe again and many more to come as they welcome you with open arms. We visited Waves during a weekend break in Selsey. It was the first time we'd eaten out since lockdown and we were really reassured by the cleanliness and the procedures in place. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and we really enjoyed our visit! We returned again before coming home and my boys are disappointed we don't live near enough to visit regularly... The shmoos were a big hit!Thanks for being so great, we will definitely be back next time we are nearby

Family of 9 looking for a cooked breakfast and stumbled on Waves Cafe in Selsey. Nothing but positive comments. Great food, great price, great choices and staff were up and beyond helpful and friendly! Just wish I had a cafe like this where I lived, great work guys will def be back on out next visit to Selsey.

Very welcoming, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and great service during these unprecedented times. Very thorough with cleaning between each seating. Food delicious and service faultless. I'd recommend the brie, bacon and cranberry sandwiches - yummy! Be back soon.

We have eaten in most of the eateries in Selsey over the past few years and waves is the best by a mile. We have only had breakfast there but they have an extensive menu throughout the rest of the day. Staff are super friendly, food is always piping hot and cooked fresh, very tasty and arrives quickly.

My friend and I visited Selsey yesterday and decided to have some lunch here, I chose the toasted cheese sandwich with chips and my friend had the cheese been jacket, the food was delicious, the staff were really attentive and friendly, we would definitely visit again. There was also a very varied menu on offer and for the jacket potatoes alone 8 different fillings were offered. They are also taking part in the government August offer, can't remember what it's called but our lunch with a tea and a late was just under £8 absolute bargain

I'm so glad my favourite cafe is now open again! Got my favourite sausage and egg baguette the other day and as per usual it was great! They do amazing breakfasts too!! Definitely the best cafe in Selsey!

We have just come back from Waves after having a lovely Sunday roast dinner. Everything was perfect, tasty and hot and plenty of food. I am quite fussy about roast potatoes and these were the best that I have tasted, after my own. Well done to all the staff. We would definitely recommend Waves.

Rubbish service and not much better food. Visited here on a Saturday on my break for work. The food was very average greasy and clearly frozen products along with not being very hot. The hot drinks were okay but again not very hot & the service was near enough non existent

This was our first visit to Selsey, and we've found a gem! Having asked for a couple of mochas, we were also given cutlery. A quick look at the extensive menu and we were ordering a couple of rolls- bacon and egg, and sausage and bacon, and even succumbed to some chips to share. Boy were we glad we did! Everything was piping hot and tasty, and the prices are very, very reasonable. Friendly service, too. Thank You!

We have been going here for years now, we drive down to Selsey from Chichester purposely to go here when we fancy a breakfast. It is by far the best breakfast in the area or anywhere I’ve been and is always outstanding, the food is always piping hot, good quality and well cooked. The staff are always polite and friendly. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, I always know what Im getting here. The prices are very fair also.

Good place to eat food and service excellent when we go fishing call here first to eat before hitting the beach for fishing. Every visit has been good like to eat here when in Selsey.

I visited here on a Saturday morning, with my mum. The staff were very accommodating of us considering they were busy, and I am currently wheelchair bound. They even allowed some furniture re-arranging, and a very kind customer moved to help accommodate me as well, which was touching and appreciated. We both ordered a breakfast, and they allowed for a few swaps to make it exactly as we liked, with no fuss. There is also plenty of choice should you wish to add any extras. It came out fast, and you could tell it was fresh as it was piping hot, with hot buttered toast made from freshly cut bread. Completely delicious! All in all we would definitely return, as it was not pretentious but was everything you would expect from a decent cafe, including big mugs of tea (that you can make to your own liking), good sized portions, friendly staff, great service and reasonably priced.

Quite busy doing Sunday lunches when I visited but the staff were super friendly and even held the door open to help with the buggy. Fantastic.

asked for a torpedo roll, was give a regular sanwich. that didnt really bother as i was hungry and dont like to see food go to waste. i asked for red onion, I consider that to be a salad item. when I was charged for the red onion I questioned it. i was told red onion is not a salad item!! only tomato, lettuce and cucumber was included. its a very smal moan, but as the order was in the wrong bread a little gesture sometimes goes a long way. the bag of chips for £1 they offer with any sandwich was more like half a bag and was so greasy by the time i was back at work the bag had split.

We have been to this cafe many a time, but on this visit whilst the food was it's usual very nice and the staff are always friendly unfortunately the cups and knives and forks where not very clean as we had to ask for clean ones, it is a shame really as it is so simple to check before giving them to people no matter how busy you are there is no excuse for not washing things properly and puts people off going in there. I know we do not live there but we are down there quite often as we have relative's who live in Selsey so come and vistcthe cafe often..

Just popped in for the first time ever since visiting Selsey. What a lovely little Cafe really very friendly staff, food was fabulous just had some lovely sandwiches and rolls really fresh and tasty. We couldn’t resist some of the lovely fresh cakes on display and enjoyed every mouthful. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

I have visited on many occasions it's a lovely cafe good food reasonable prices too. Friendly staff on point food. Very good range of choices something for everybody. We had a mackerel and prawn salad ample portions and such lovely quality and presentation. I must apologize for my unfiltered mother in law and her loud comments regarding her meal. Her meal looked amazing she moans about everything so I am very sorry about her.

The food here is lovely. Always has been, the portion sizes are great too, especially with the low price of the food. They will also within reason change the menu of sandwich fillings to what you want also. And one of the best things is you can take away aswell.

Waves has a great chef provides good food with very friendly staff, we have a caravan at Selsey and always have our Sunday dinner there

Arrived at the cafe 30mins before closing time and we’re welcomed in, along with my mum and nine month old twins. Food was well cooked and excellent value. What really stood out, however, was how helpful the staff were with the babies - offering to heat food and milk, providing bowls and clearing up spillages. They made our late lunch a lot less stressful and we were really grateful. We will be back!

Where to start... As soon as you enter the cafe the long serving, experienced service team will offer you a drink while you look at the menu. Generally I don't need to look at the menu - I go for the 'Mega Breakfast', which is so mega I sometimes call it breakfast, lunch and dinner on a plate. It's always fresh and delicious (pretty sure the bread is freshly baked and cut thick from the family bakery across the road) and presented well. The tomatoes taste amazing. When you're done the table is cleared quickly for you so you're not left staring at empty plates. I think what I like the most is that the chef always asks if you enjoyed your food, and I always tell him I did, and that's why I keep coming back.

Clean, friendly with reasonably priced food served in generous portions. I would definitely recommend Waves.

Visited and had breakfast and coffee while our washing was doing.The breakfast was fantastic the staff are brilliant,polite,and friendly.Even though we are local we would suggest to any Londoners visiting have a Pipe at the old pie and liquor it would out do any London gaff.

Not the best service today, in fact no service at all. After being seated for 10 minutes still no one came to take my order. If they had been busy then that would have been fine but the was only two other people in the cafe. The staff were to busy talking to each other.

When here for London Pie ,mash and liquor and was not disappointed because it came up pipping hot with an additional jug of Liquor. I understand that the pies are from Goddard's in London. Lovely people, great service without doubt will visit again

Stopped in waves cafe today for a inprompto lunch after a swim at bunn leisure with the family.. Just brilliant is all ill say. Proper English cafe with proper Englishman portions.. Friendly staff and great service.. If you want that simple but great menu with no fuss its perfect, they even do a roast, which I didn't have but looked great coming out the kitchen.. Visited with my partner and son, our lunch was good. I then see pie and mash in the window and decide to get some after I had asked the chef if it was actual 'traditional' pie and mash and he assured me yes it's the pie and mash from London .... I then took it home to eat to then discover it was not...the pie was similar to traditional but the mash was awful, had clumps of butter in it, the mash was in balls and mushy and watery it was not how it should of been at all... disappointed and through it away barely touched.

Had a really tasty and fabulous lunch. Excellent service. Definitely coming back tomorrow and the next day while we’re here on holiday 👍🏻

I found this cafe about a month ago and I’m so glad I did. The breakfast is to die for and I’ve been back several times since. I love in Chichester so not too far away but I will ALWAYS come here for my hangover cure over anywhere closer to home.

Thought we would give this little cafe a try after passing it going through Selesy.

Been with my partner many times but haven't been in a while since we moved to Chichester. Woke up this morning craving a fry up and knew we wouldn't be satisfied if we didn't head straight to Waves. So we headed over and as always we weren't let down. Kind, welcoming and smiley staff who are always lovely and professional. It seems that everyone who walks through the door is greeted with a smile, they know the regulars order before they've sat down and can't do enough for customers. Lovely coffee and truly lovely breakfast. We both had the fry ups and it was all cooked to perfection. No grease...lovely quality items and very happy and full tummies by the end of it. We will never go any where else. Can't wait for the next one. Waves....you have our hearts x

We had previously eaten at The Waves during the week but visited Yesterday for a Sunday roast it was great with good friendly service and excellent roast beef and lamb. Well done, we will see you again soon

I and my wife went on a nostalgic visit to selsey this weekend called into the waves cafe & sandwich bar in the high street the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the food menu is vast the food preparation was good & the meal a treat to eat, the prices are well balanced & well worth a visit We only have one slight criticism the amount on your plate
