Waves Cafe and Sandwich Bar in Chichester

How hard is it to do a sausage sandwich. Apparently, hard. . No butter on the bread and burnt sausages. The quality of the sausages is very poor. Stick with riviera.

We have been staying in selsey for a few days and decided to have dinner at Waves. We couldn’t fault the service, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Our food was hot , on hot plates and very tasty. I would highly recommend this cafe for a great value meal. And my friend also said the chef was hot!!

Me and the boy grabbed the only empty table at 11:00am on a Saturday morning. Always a good sign! One mega and one mini breakfast ordered plus extra black pudding. Shame the boy doesn't like egg or mushrooms so they went onto the mega as well!! Great value, great food, fantastic friendly service. Couldn't walk as we left but that's my fault!

Everytime we go always great service and always welcomed with a smile Food is always great and fresh never has a bad breakfast there Highly recommended it’s a must try

Love this place , used it a lot last year whilst on holiday in selsey .this year wasn’t any different . You can’t get a better breakfast in selsey than this one . . Breakfast is always perfect , Food is alway good served nice and hot and plenty of it . Really good price . £9.50 for full English breakfast with a tea or coffee . The staff are always really friendly too .

Friendly attentive staff, good quality food, clean and fairly priced. Would recommend if you need a break from all the tourist trap prices that you can get in the area. Thankyou!

Both food and service are amazing. We often come down on holidays and this is our favourite cafe to go to. Have been here on multiple holidays and absolutely love the food. The service is very helpful, and the quantity of food for the price is very good. Love going here.

Absolutely delicious food . Big portions and really lovely staff. Roast gammon dinner fresh vegetables. Homemade steak pie with different options to have with it. Hunters chicken again all very yummy.

Sat is lovely courtyard under a brollie in the sun, and immediately felt welcomed and looked after the minute we arrived. Our breakfast was brought out in excellent time, on warm plates, piping hot and just as we'd asked for it to be. Really tasty and cooked to perfectioni:) Full marks to the whole team!

We had breakfast here and the service was amazing. My partner is gluten free and they really took trouble to cater for his needs. Our food was piping hot and tasted great. Would definitely recommend them.

A bright, clean and welcoming venue although on the small side. The food we ordered came quickly and was well cooked and presented and delicious. I was presented with a beautiful, simple cheese omelette with a large fresh salad garnish and perfectly cooked fries/chips.

Perfect place for a light lunch, it was sunny so we sat outside in the garden which was a bonus. Generous helpings and truly fabulous, friendly, efficient service. If we return to Selsey we will return to Waves.

Perfect place for breakfast! The staff were so helpful and super friendly and food was delicious. Possibly the best porridge ever that my friend had and I had the most scrumptious scrambled eggs! The staff even went to the trouble to warm the plates so our food was kept hot. Can’t recommend this cafe enough - it’s a place you have try if you’re in Selsey!

A great breakfast We had breakfast here as the place we were staying in was too expensive . We both had the small breakfast which was definitely not small !! They gave me a hash brown instead of the mushrooms as I'm not a fan , and we had a tea and a coffee for just under £20. The food was delicious. Very clean , great service and very friendly, Shame we are going home as I would definitely eat there again What a gem!!

Recommended by a local friend for convenience and the Selsey laissez faire attitude to parking as we have mobility issues. I imagine the decor is shabby chic so that's fine. The server was prompt, clearly understood the offering and clarified our precise requirements. There was plenty of food, I had fishcakes, my partner had lamb roast as she spotted another lucky customer being served it. Our friend had the steak and kidney pudding with an enormous serving of mash. All food was perfectly cooked and tasty. Once my partner spotted the structure and filling of the steak and kidney, jealousy set in regardless of the fact that her roast was perfect. Luckily I earned brownie points by requesting a pudding to take away so she doesn't miss out on the experience. We asked for milk to dilute the tea as, with bag in, it was a little strong for us. We recognise that everyone's tastes are different and so it wasn't an issue. If you could close down the business immediately and move it to Rainham, Kent, I can guarantee two very regular customers!
