The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

We planned with the owner, Graham Perrin, to set up two tables in the main restaurant to accommodate our Christmas party of 17 from three families. Using their Festive Menu at £32/head for 3 courses, we were able to provide the restaurant with every order well in advance. We arrived for pre-dinner drinks at 7.15pm and the men loved the beautifully kept Larkins 3.3% bitter at £5.20 per pint while the ladies enjoyed the Finger Post sauvignon blanc from Marlborough Estate, New Zealand £34.00/bottle. The log fire was on, festive decorations abounded, all staff were most helpful and welcoming, so our evening had a very good start. The kitchen excelled by producing well-presented dishes with the Porchetta, Sea Bream and Beef Bourguignon main courses receiving particular commendations. The Marcelo Pelleriti malbec £35.00/bottle drank really well with the meats. Total cost for food, quite a lot of wine and discretionary 10% service was around £76/head which we all thought was good value. Thank you so much Graham for being a great host.

We booked The George for a birthday brunch and highly recommend it. A lovely cosy village pub with friendly staff, good coffee and a great brunch menu with classics and less traditional options. We tried the smoked eel and will definitely be back for more!

Stopped here for a coffee while shopping absolute perfect location with plenty of seating.

Visited twice this week and both times we have had fabulous service, great tasting food and drink’s served in a pleasant environment.

They didn't have the cake I was looking for, so I had a mince pie instead. Coffee hot.

You could say that this is one of our favourite eateries because we were here with friends twice within 5 days, first of all for an evening meal and then for lunch. Both meals were excellent, especially the Sunday Roast Lunch. The food is well presented and tastes delicious. The portion sizes are ample and very good value for money. My wife is Gluten Free but this does not cause any problems. And, on top of all this, the staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. What more could you want? Can certainly recommend.

Today the 13th of October at the coast coffee shop in Wallingford was absolutely a joke. 20mins waiting for 2 takeaway coffees. Two young girls unable to deal with a busy morning. The Queues were past the door a d people waiting over 20 mins to get there order .

Lively pub, bar games, live music, open till late

Poor. One of worse pubs I've visited in a while. London Pride was nearest they got to an Ipa, and it was absolutely awful, like it was off. Won't go back.

Delicious vegetarian food. Quick delivery of takeaway. Friendly staff and a good app for ordering. Will be back very soon.

This pub is full of charm! Everything you want from an English country pub. We had lunch here and the staff were super friendly, Alex the barman was very hospitable and we got served straight away. Food was brilliant, I’ll defo be back !

Staff incredibly rude towards a pregnant woman whilst visiting the town today.

Sunday lunch with the family. Friendly staff and locals. Wonderful selection of ales and the food was first class. Highly recommended.

My friend and I visited for lunch. We’re both vegetarian and they had several options to choose from. Food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back again 😊
