Horrible treatment. the man running this shop was incredibly rude. Me and my dad asked a simple question is the Cafe open because the sign said it was closed. I was expecting yes but sorry dogs aren’t allowed in however he was extremely rude. But it is a lovely walk so still go just ignore the cafe next time we will bring our own lunch and snacks!

Yes I discovered that this pub is part of a chain where they all have the same menu and wines! Saying this…this is a nice cosy place near Seven Oaks with also some traditional English dishes (we enjoyed either the fish and chips and the pie!) and more modern offerings. Service is good, food is good the Chablis was cold and…it was raining outside!!!! Perfect for a grey day.

Cold hot drinks. Dry cakes not kept in an air tight container. One customer sneezed of the uncovered cakes. Yuk

Went for Sunday lunch with family based on the Trip Advisor reviews (thank you) and I am so happy we went. Received a lovely warm welcome and friendly and efficient service by a happy Team, food was yummy and a good plateful! and we had a nice chinwag with the Landlady when we reluctantly left. It was well worth the journey (about an hour from home) and we came away very happy. We will be back!

None of the plug sockets were working, couldn't find one to charge my phone while having breakfast after a long flight. The lady at the till was not helpful at all. Disappointing.

It’s annoying when you end up with an argument about included drinks They are happy to charge for black filter coffee when you ask for a black coffee which is supposed to be included in the meal When asked where the coffee was they were happy to assume we didn’t want it Poor customer service - used to be a good cafe but won’t be back

A really impressive and unexpected find, the food was proper gastro quality, made with care and skill and inexpensive. We had a roast pork for £16 and a buttermilk chicken burger for £14 (I think). Quality ingredients, generous portions, cannot fault and I always find improvements! Good chilled soundtrack and coffee too. Will defo be back!

Two of us came here on spec on a dreary Wednesday lunchtime. At first sight we almost didn't go inside because it looked rather shabby but while sitting in the car park trying to decide whether to risk it, two people arrived and we asked if they'd ever eaten there which they assured us they had and they'd never had a bad meal. On going inside we received a warm welcome from the Landlord, ordered our food which turned out to be delicious (lamb chops for one of us and the salmon in lemon sauce for me). The chips, potatoes and vegetables were well cooked and the desserts (sticky toffee pudding/plum crumble) were very good too. Service was excellent. It's clearly a pub the locals value because lots of people arrived while we were there and were greeted as friends yet we didn't feel like outsiders at all. Yes, the decor is dated and the fencing outside a bit ramshackle but we couldn't fault anything about the food or service. I'd like to see the front door have a coat of paint because that was the most off-putting thing and made us hesitate as to what to expect inside. Go in, you won't be disappointed. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g1936909-d3206542-r973226471-The_Lord_Raglan-Staplehurst_Kent_England.html#

A very rare visit to this pub, is a pleasant experience. It’s not particularly local to me , or on route… but I know it’s there , and hopefully open- so it’s worth a visit. Friendly enough staff, friendly local patronage … and menu looks great, so will definitely check out the food again one day soon.

Sam the landlord was very welcoming and ensured I was looked after the entire time.. 100% recommend this pub for a social drink if you are in the area or passing through .
