Good honest family friendly Pub with a well thought out menu served piping hot and generous portions. The decor was nice, traditional and clean and the service was polite efficient and friendly.

Went for the quiz last night. Called up last week to book a table for it for us and some friends, asked when it was (was told 19:00), was advised to get there half an hour early to get our orders in beforehand (booked for 18:30). When we arrived there was a board outside saying the quiz starts at 19:30 (not what we'd been told and we're a bit early now but no big deal). 19:00 rolls around and it's pretty quiet, one of our table asks us whether it's definitely on, we all remind her of the board outside (no need to worry). 19:25 rolls around, still pretty quiet, no sign of a quiz host. I ask the bar tender, "No it's cancelled tonight", "Oh, why's that then", "Can't do put a quiz on without any customers". Very poor response, no apology that it wasn't on or that we weren't informed. Should have been contacted to be made aware that the quiz was cancelled before we arrived. That's the only reason we went was for the quiz, which had been very fun on our last outing. Could've found a quiz elsewhere if we'd have been given some notice. We all had the feeling that we hadn't been contacted as they already had minimal bookings - why reduce sales further by telling our guests the quiz is cancelled? It's a shame we were let down on this occasion as the Harrow is usually a good pub. Food was good as usual. Service from the waitress was good. They're very attentive to allergens. Got 40% off mains, which they offer regularly with the Vintage Inns account (no subscription or sign up fee).

We all had a fantastic lunch. The skewers and penang curry tasted amazing and the fish & chips definitely hit the spot for our 90+ year old friend! Shane was an excellent server, informative and attentive without being intrusive.

Recently visited for a birthday lunch where there was a large group of us. We had pre ordered our meals a week in advance but the service time took more than 1.15 hours which was disappointing. We didn't get regular updates as to when our food would arrive. Also I ordered the Rib eye steak & asked for it to be cooked medium rare but it was burnt & overcooked. One tip if you are booking try to get an itemised receipt as it makes paying easier.

Food was really tasty, beautifully presented. You don't stock Earl Grey tea. Each time I have asked I have been served The Earl tea. Different taste

Service was Lovely the pub catered for my mums wake they were very welcoming and the buffet was very well served and tasty. Thankyou for a lovely day.

Popped in for a few on bank holiday, lovely pub with a very nice chap behind the bar called Bryan! Didn’t have the food but looked good! Would highly recommend checking this out just for a drink alone. (Good prices)

A last minute Sunday lunch booking with visiting family , it didn’t disappoint. Food was amazing as always . Tasha was our server , she was friendly, smiling and very helpful with her knowledge of the menu . The roast lamb and turkey were cooked just right . It was a busy lunchtime as you would expect , all the staff were rushing around , but the service was quick with a smile

Don’t bother coming for a roast dinner because even though they take your reservation when you get here they’ll tell you they have no roast left. If you want a pub roast meal go elsewhere.

Really enjoyed my visit to the Harrow Inn, service was really good and the food was very enjoyable and well presented. We tried the lamb and chicken skewers which were juice and well flavoured. The sides for the skewers I was very impressed with. Really nice interior and looks good for a drink in summer. Good baby change facility and high chairs.

We came here on way back from Wisley and were pleased to find the kitchen was still open at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon, as another place we tried no longer served food midweek. Friendly welcome, good service and nice food. Had fish and chips and aubergine parmigiana with a drink each. Car park.

Attended March 19th for my sons birthday, large table of 10 needed and accommodated with no problem when we booked - not walk in. New menu was on offer and it was some of the best tasting food we have had a pub in a long time! Tasha R went out of her way to make us all feel at home and she is an extremely hard worker covering the bar and food. Quiz night was on in the bar, it was no distraction to us in the restaurant, we are going back to take part next time! We didn't bring our dog this time but dogs are very welcome and they have a dog menu to order food off for the dogs, nice touch! We were allowed to take our own birthday cake and that was served for desert. Great night and we will be back!

Teresa who served us was so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. It was our mum's 90th birthday and she made it very special. My dad has dementia and Teresa was so kind and patient with him. We can't thank her enough and will definitely be back!

Table for 4.the Saturday before mother's day. Pub was quite empty when we arrived but filled to a nice buzzy atmosphere while we were there. Service was good although a little slow to start with ( good help settling into table then no service : drinks? for ten minutes.) Some starters and mains were not good. Scallops were ok but the prawns with them were as if cut out of rubber bands. The same rubbery prawns were served with the very good Sea Bass The Sheppard's pie served along with lamb scallops was more like a crumble. The mash potato topping was a packet mix sprinkled on. Rib eye (extra cost) we were warned not to order it rare as it was very fatty and tough) It still was cooked medium with no trade off for flavour. Practically inedible. Puddings were fine and the mini pudding served with coffee were a welcome option.

I visited for the first time on Mother's day and it was very disappointing. There was noone available to show us to our table when we arrived and then when we did get a table it was in this tiny room and we squased in a small table at the back even though we had booked. We were told to order our food at the bar because they are too busy but we were completely neglected being away from the main dining area. We had 3 courses and had to walk to the bar to order each course and our plates weren't cleared until the next course arrived. We all ordered the roast for the main and it was cold and flavourless. Seemed like it had been sitting out all day. On top off all that, when we went to pay the bill, they didn't include the set menu price but entered it separately. They tried to fix it but the price was still wrong. At that point I just wanted to leave and paid whatever it said even though it was higher than it should have been. Only positive of the place is the friendliess of the staff. Everything else was not good.

Very friendly staff who give a great welcome and super service

Visited yesterday and really liked this lovely restaurant with tasty food and friendly staff. I enjoyed my burger and chips, which came with a lovely dipping sauce. The ice cream I ate for desert was also lovely and it was nice to try the apple sorbet, which i have never tried before, I really enjoyed it. The restaurant was busy but a pleasant busy. Toilets were clean, and so was the table when we arrived. The only let down was the 40-50 minute wait for food, however, all the positives meant i could overlook the wait.

Went on a weekday not long after Xmas so was rather quiet. Beautiful pub not far from some nice walks (and a rather busy road in fairness). Decent selection of drinks and food was to a good standard. Service attentive and good humoured.

Nice pub on the border of Warlingham. Friendly, welcoming staff and dog friendly. Pleasant decor, reasonable selection of food and drink, though we did have to wait over 30 minutes for some 'light nibbles', despite the place being almost empty. Maybe they were short staffed in the kitchen? I'd happily return and try a full meal.

Lovely little country pub, in a great setting and food... yummmm Staff (especially our server Elena) are really friendly and helpful too. Win win!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Harrow Inn. Food was tasty - special mention for the vegetarian roast, delicious. Kids’ menu was just the right options and we had super service from our waitress, Natalie, and a warm welcome. This was our first visit but we’ll be back!

Went with my family for a pre Christmas meal in December and I’m so glad we visited the Harrow instead of somewhere else because the festive menu was so delicious. We all enjoyed our food! The pork belly was really tasty and the profiterole cheesecake was literally amazing! The atmosphere was really special inside too because of the gorgeous decorations throughout! Will be visiting more often! Well done!

Olde worlde farm house gastro pub with creaky floors and low ceilings. Phenomenal views of Red Kites soaring over the valley if you sit near the side door. Lovely friendly staff. Just about the right degree of attentiveness. Clientele: Surrey vibe. Food is great for meat eaters: home made food with locally sourced meat. Great meat pies and fish and chips. Variable range for vegetarians and vegans and gluten free dinners: Sometimes better range/availability than others. Don't get the feeling they particularly cater for vegans although they had tofu with a salad yesterday. A little bland on the tofu but great fresh salad. Old chairs aren't very comfortable and required extra cushions on sunken seats, and beware of the 'high top' tables if you don't like high stools. Clean loos. Ample parking. Lovely for lunch.

Came for a weekday lunch in December. When we arrived there was no space in the main restaurant but we got a nice table in the bar area which was decorated very festive for Christmas. When we sat down the waiter advised that the big groups hadn't ordered yet so if we were quick he would get ours through first so there was less of a wait. Really disappointing from the beginning, we were sat at a table that was very sticky and not really ideal. Our table of 4 was the only one occupied in the whole place and yet the bartender forgot the soda in my wine spritzer, no water on table - had to remind them twice (we ordered the water when we ordered our meal) Starters (mushrooms, calamari x2 & garlic king prawns) were really slow in arriving. They were good. Main meal took forever to arrive. Tbh another 2 parties arrived (1 x 5 & 1 x 3)in the time it took our meals to arrive. 1 x 5 party got their starters before we got our meals. J2O bottles arrived without being shaken but already opened so difficult to shake to mix. 2 main meals arrived to our table with a significant delay with the other 2 meals arriving. Fish n chips (fab), pizza (great), pork belly (good) & sea bass (totally over cooked and quite frankly nasty). Upon returning the sea bass to server they returned from the kitchen holding the plate relaying a question from the chef “What part of the fish did you find over cooked?”. Really rude and disrespectful. The fish was wafer thin and yet difficult to cut. It didn’t flake and tasted really dry and flavourless (apart from the taste of burnt skin). Totally ruined the atmosphere. Staff were waiting and chatting in the bar area when nothing to do, whilst we’d stacked our finished dishes on our table. Service was decently friendly but just so slow. We ordered a latte, sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. The latte was hot, served in a tall, handle less glass. So you were unable to hold the glass to drink!! We had to request a china handled cup or some straws it was quite ridiculous. The sticky toffee pudding was good but you could tell it had been warmed in the microwave and therefore didn’t warrant the delay in delivery. Ice cream was ice cream! Overall quite disappointed and will never be returning, especially as we were served by a so-called supervisor who also managed to trip over a chair and drop an implement while attempting to clear the table. Honestly not happy and hope the chef learns the ability to take constructive criticism instead of asking the front of house team to bring back the complained dish and quiz them on what they disliked!!

Food average, service average; waitress didn’t smile nor did she acknowledge our kids, would have let it slide as everyone has a bad day, but she was smiley at the end when asking for a review. Atmosphere excellent as we were by the fireplace. I’ve been going for years and it seems to get worse. Not going back for a while now.

Food was disappointing. My aubergine and tomato dish was oily and my husband's burger too salty. The salad with my dish was drenched with a sugary dressing and not very nice. We have been here many times in the past few years and the standard of food is very inconsistent. Occasionally quite nice but often disappointed which is a shame as we like the decor and general ambience.

What has happened here!!!. Ordered two pints of Peroni both were totally flat, asked for a replacement only to have one pint poured into another glass, seriously what a joke.

Booked for dinner on Sunday 24 December via app and it gave two choices of menus the all day and festive I choose all day arrived 25 minutes before grab a pint whilst we waited asked about our table got left had to approach bar staff to find out about our table finally got seat only to see it was a festive menu and I booked all day menu this once were a lovely country pub has gone down hill slightly I guess it must be. Under new management!!

We held a wake for my late mother at the Harrow. The staff both during the lead up and on the day were excellent. Friendly, amenable and efficient. The space provided was perfect, giving a mix of private and a pub atmosphere which made a difficult day feel more homely. The buffet was generous, with plenty of options all freshly prepared The pub having a great space to hire for functions of around 30-50 people. In recent months my wife and I have spent a fair bit of time visiting the Harrow and have really noticed a change in the food and drinks offering. We've enjoyed popping in for a pint or evening meal. The staff help create a welcoming atmosphere and we love the fact its so dog friendly.

We went today and took a friend for their first time. We had a lovely lunch and a great time. we've always got nice service from all the staff today they were very busy, but they were still friendly, polite, and as normal, gave good service, and our waitress was very helpful, friendly and polite . I had the pie of the day, which was the stake and venison, which was delicious, then I had the bramley apple blackcurrant and cherry crumble with custard, which was also delicious . They both had the fish and chips They both enjoyed, and one had the sorbet. I can say it looked great, so I may be trying it next time we go, so thank you to all the staff 😋👏👍

Always a bit up and down at the Harrow, we've had fabulous & diabolical and everything in between! Daughter waited over an hour for food on a not-too-busy night when she last visited. Lovely spot for country pursuits though and a great outside space, so worth taking a punt.

Had a wonderful Sunday roast at The Harrow Inn. I took my autistic brother who sometimes gets overwhelmed and inpatient. Natasha made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to care for us. 100% coming back again soon

Great choices on the lunch menu. Waiter (Connor) was very attentive to our needs (especially allergens for my wife) despite it being incredibly busy. Downside was that they had run out of a chosen dish (inaccurate forecasting of supplies?) and our table was squeezed between an open fire and a radiator so too hot for comfort and yet too cold when a window was open.

Came here for the other day, honestly, wasn’t expecting much as it’s just a pub, but the food was amazing. Fish and chips to die for. Thank you Harrow.

Just got back from a meal for two at The Harrow. Really cosy and warm on this cold evening especially with the log fire and Christmas decorations up. Nathalie served us, and what a lovely friendly happy waitress she is. She definitely goes the extra mile and made our evening most enjoyable. We will definitely be back 😊

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch yesterday. It was so good I’m still thinking about it today. It was very busy which was a good sign, and the venue itself is really nice - a proper country pub! The quality of the food was excellent and it was a decent size. We were looked after really well by both Tash and Rachel, who were very attentive but at the same time left us alone to enjoy the dinner. Highly recommended and I’m already looking forward to our next visit !

Quick service with the drinks but the food took a very long time( about an hour) which was annoying as we had children with us and some people had driven a long way. The food was quite good, although some items were cold eg chips

The Harrow Inn used to have good food but, our latest trip was average at best. One of the dishes had a long hair wrapped around one of the prawns. To the staff's credit, they were great about it and quickly replaced the item for free. The vibe was typical dry, muted country pub. No real atmosphere to speak of but, the servers were friendly and polite. 2 of us shared the sticky platter which was OK, although, a bit small if your planning on sharing it as a main and the calamari was also decent. The place was clean but the glasses(or the water inside) smelled like wet pet. The person who sat us and also the 2 servers we had were all very helpful and professional. If this was our 1st time there, we definitely wouldn't rush back. Maybe, in the 3yrs since our last visit things have become worse. Or, maybe we chose poor menu options. Our bill came to £162 for 4 adults and 2 kids.

Waitress was very annoying calling us ‘my lovelys’ very unprofessional. Gravy was full of fat, had to ask for more gravy without fat. Potatoes were so overcooked they were like rocks. Won’t be coming here again.

The Harrow Inn îs an execellent place , where The food îs very good and the employees are kind. We are served one day at lunch by nice and very kind, sociable girl who delighted us a lot for the patience with which we where treated, her name îs Elena and we would like to have as many waitres as possible. We will definitely come back here!
