Costa Coffee in Tandridge

They seem to like to pack up and finish well before 6pm. If you go in around 5.15 they won’t warm food as oven off or make anything other than straight coffee as machine/gadget has been turned off/cleaned. It could do with a good clean and refresh. Starbucks opposite looks better.

Very polite helpful staff. Quick to be served even though it was quite busy. Order brought to table. Good hot sausages,tasty coffee 👍🏻👍🏻

Customers being lied to by the shop manager and other staff about no iced drinks available… then watching the shop manager make herself a Frappe drink. Seating areas get closed off leaving customers with no where to sit. .

The floor and entrance are filthy - haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Dirty sticky table. Two tables for 4 occupied by one person working on laptops so other customers went away. Strange as with three staff on duty it should have been better.

Chloe and the team welcomed us in and to help brighten our day, they gave us the BOGOF offer on a drink but complimentary. I popped into costa in oxted Tuesday mid afternoon and was greeted by a wonderful young charismatic lady i believe her name was Georgina , She made conversation which was nice as it made me feel welcome which you don’t always get from most stores and I ordered a vanilla latte to have in and a strawberry creme frappe to take away she was very fast and efficient with the order whilst maintaining a perfect level of professionalism whilst doing the order , she made me feel as if we’d known each other a long time which made the visit just as fantastic as the drinks I would strongly recommend . thank you for the brill service and thank you to who trained her as you have done an amazing job .

A small Costa. There are many branches of Costa in the UK, but this one is special. Every Saturday my disabled sister goes in. The girls serving are super professional, friendly, A great credit to the Costa name. We'll worth a visit.

14 minutes to wait for an ice whipped latte that is not whipped lol awful , rude and slow staff , Georgina could defo do with some extra training absolutely awful

Excellent young lady served me today. She made my daughters drink with real lovely attention and it looked beautiful. She was very good at her job. The young man was also extremely nice and he made my coffee expertly and with care. I will go there again and again now. Tell all my friends what lovely service they gave us.

Visited Costa in oxted and was pleasantly surprised, clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. I was served by a young lady called georgina. My drink was made quickly and efficiently and was very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend as even though alone, I didn't feel uncomfortable.

Seating arrangements are poor Mostly arranged for groups of four making it difficult for one person to sit anywhere.

Went with a friend to this Costa in OXTED, ordered 2 hot chocolates with all the trimmings.. the hot chocolate was wiped with a dirty dish cloth and handed to us, we had to return it! Then the new ones came with no flake.. we did not recieve the cake we paid for so had to go again and ask.. disgusting service and hygiene especially at the price! Staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing. Will not be back due to the poor hygiene, if my friend hadn't seen the guy wipe the drinks cup with a dirty dush cloth we would be non the wiser has he been doing this all day? 🤢

Ordered a white hot chocolate. The girl didn’t know if they took cash, didn’t ask what size I wanted, then requested £4 which gave a me a half-full large cup of normal hot chocolate. Don’t know where she got the price from and genuinely terrible service - won’t be returning.

Not the biggest range of bakery items compared with some other Costa branches, but the service was excellent and I was reliably informed by my wife that the coffee waa excellent!

The coffee was good which I suppose is the main thing. But the whole place is shabby and not clean. The floor needed a good scrub and there was dust on the woodwork. There was no toilet paper in the toilet and it wasn't up to post COVID standards. Needs some work.

Been to one Costa, been to them all

Pity that the four young ladies working here today are in the main more interested chatting and their phones than the customers. One particular lady has done nothing for twenty minutes while the whole place needs a good clean. To be honest one of them has just refilled a couple of shelves. Tables are not being wiped down between customers which with Covid still around I would have thought the absolute minimum requirement.

Someone in the queue orders food and you are all waiting 20mins for a coffee. Coffee is always good though.

I haven’t been into this Costa before even though I live in Oxted! I prefer to visit & spend my money in the small individual establishments that add variety to our high street, but on this occasion due to timings Costa was the only place open, as others close at 4pm & I was waiting for my son to finish at his after school club. I was literally shocked as I walked through the door, the windows were running with condensation, no ventilation or windows/door open ( the conservatory windows could be opened along with the front door, to keep the air flowing in these Covid times!,) There was rubbish on the floors, the decor looked plain, scruffy & overall very uninviting. I instantly wanted to leave, so grabbed drinks & decided to sit in the car instead, the Coffee was ok but overpriced.. I’ve had a lot better at ‘Toast’. The only good thing to say about this branch were the lovely young women who worked there, they were busy but efficient & served us with a smile. I definitely won’t be returning, it’s certainly not somewhere I would want to sit & relax or meet a friend for a quick lunch. Try ‘Toast’ or the ‘Deli’ instead.... Apparently there is a new lavishly decorated ‘Starbucks’ opening opposite, so no doubt many Costa fans will trot across the road for cleaner more inviting surroundings, not for me though... As if we need another CHAIN coffee shop in Oxted.

Stopped into costa between appointments, really friendly welcome & the barista made possibly the best flat white ever! She even tempted me with a warmed up croissant. Lovely Friday treat :)

I met a friend here for a coffee (cake) and a catch up. I’ve been into the store many times before but I was very impressed with the service & drinks on this visit. We both run our own businesses and know how important reviews are for staff training and morale. Keep up the good work and no doubt you’ll see me more regularly!

I just had the worst americano and latte I’ve ever had in my life would strongly recommend avoiding this coffee shop. Service was ok but I will never go here again

The coffee is never the same each time I go,sometimes hot /cold only half filled.if you explain that the coffee was not right the response is well we made it how we are meant too. Such a shame

A very busy coffee shop. I ordered on the app and I still had to wait 10 minutes after I arrived to collect my order. The staff were working flat out. Maybe, a Sunday afternoon is best avoided, if you are in a rush.

Even in these tough times the staff here have been extremely helpful and are always friendly. Great winter drinks too :)

We visited here as a family at the end of October and found the level of cleanliness and safety so bad we left the premises.Staff were not wearing masks correctly, construction workers were coming and going constantly, none of them wearing masks nor using sanitiser. At least 8 came in within 10 minutes of each other queuing down the store without masks, mainly construction men from opposite buildig site but also friends. This is the last time we will visit here as none of the government guidelines were being followed. Outside tables were filthy and no sign of tables bring cleaned and sanitised between customers.

Unfortunately service was not too efficient. Ordered 3 peach iced teas . After a long wait we got 2 peach teas with no ice and one cold tea! They did put it right was spoilt the experience as first time since lockdown we braved it to sit in.

Clean. Disappointing visit..asked for iced peach tea..after 2nd attempt they managed to put all three ingredients into a cup..maybe new staff

This is an okay Costa but I felt they had too many tables crammed into too smaller space so always felt crammed. Windows were all steamed up which didn't give the best feel but other than that the coffee was still up to standard.

I know the staff work hard in a cramped environment but the place is always messy, tables unclear, cramped place, not sure this represents the Costa brand or may be it actually does... And to cap it all just saw my drink be drunk out of by person who got my order confused with theirs and staff just swapped straw and gave. It to me... Come on... Really

The coffee here is up to the normal Costa high standard but the staff must be the grumpiest in the whole Costa franchise. Mayvpbe this is why there were plenty of seats available on a wet Friday morning whilst Cafe Nero was full ! !

Good coffee and cake, and reasonably comfortable seating area and tables. Pleasant friendly staff. There is some seating outside at the front, and a conservatory area at the back, but sometimes that is full of young kids.

I went into this coffee shop on Monday 18th February. You can only judge a place by what you see in the day. It was not lunchtime! Approaching yes. When I went in it was not busy. A queue built because the staff looked bemused. One in particular just did nothing. I waited a long time after paying. Then given my drinks on a filthy tray. I won't be going back in a hurry.

I visited Oxted Costa Coffee on Monday 18th Feb 2019. I should’ve taken heed of my first impression.. Door handles being held on with j-cloths..?? I carried on, I sooo wished I had left..?service was ok to be fair but the cleanliness and hygiene was shocking. Food placed on dirty trays, tables stickie basically zero cleaning.. Even their work station look a complete mess.. I sat in the conservatory looked up and couldn’t believe my eyes, the glass roof covered in moss and looking like it had been cleaned in years. As I left I popped to the toilet.. sooo wished I hadn’t.. dirty filthy place, would not recommend.. I know these are franchises but I think Costa uk should mystery shop Oxred and revoke there agreement.. this should be zero stars..

As with all Costa's the coffee is hit and miss. This time it was a hit.

We love Costa but were so shocked to find the dirty state of Costa in Oxted. There was litter on the payment immediately outside & everywhere inside. All the free tables were filthy. We were unable to stay for our usual lunch in this Costa.

I visited Costa Coffee Oxted with friends yesterday. There was a lot of rubbish outside and when we went in we just couldn’t believe how dirty it was! We went through to the back where there were empty tables but we didn’t stay as the tables, chairs and floor were so dirty! I expect they don’t have enough staff but it’s wrong to be serving food in such conditions. In the morning we had visited Costa in Westerham and that is so different, very clean.

We went to this Costa today and was not impressed at all with it. Yes the Staff was friendly but it just shows what happened when you leave young people in charge?? The tables were sticky and not clean and when asked for a cloth we was given a wet napkin. It was lucky we had are own wet wipes and the lady next to us asked us for a wet wipe as she saw as cleaning are own table. When the hot chocolate‘s came out they were cold and we had to send them back. Young people in charge of a shop is not very sensible?? We go to costas in caterham everyday and they are brilliant there. Please address this at Oxted because we won’t be go back.

Five of us went in and had to order in various stages. The guy behind the counter was totally unfriendly and made me feel bad to actually be ordering more stuff. I am a regular to Costa and the staff in this branch could definitely do with some trading on customer relations. I wouldn’t rush back here! Very slow to clear tables.

What a great to stop for a delicious cappuccino and choose from their delicious cake selection. My husbands favorite is the tangy lemon tart and I enjoyed the moist gingerbread slice

A very busy place at lunchtime but the staff handled the rush well. Worth a visit if you are in Oxted.

Being fairly small yet busy, it can get quite crowded and they do run out of certain sandwiches frequently, but always good quality.
