Lovely pub, really good service, food was great.

Love this place. Nice menu but we tend to have the steak. Good atmosphere of old pub and cozy conservatory. Staff are always friendly and attentive Will definitely return.

Delicious roast dinner, we had the 'Belly pork and chicken, Beautifully cooked and presented, gravy was flavoursome but we both said a tad too rich for our liking. Friendly Great service from staff, we will be back.

We went for a family celebration and I must say this has got to be one of the finest places to dine,. Short 30 minute trip from my home location and I would be happy to travel twice as far for such a beautiful restaurant. Great food,. fantastic service and a great atmosphere. Godstone residents are really spoilt for choice of two such lovely restaurants nearly opposite each other.

We love this pub, the foods fantastic and the setting inside and out, beautiful.

Very good service by friendly professional staff. Don't expect too much regarding the food. For example the half roast chicken is exactly that and a potion of chips. The same when it comes to the lasagne. You have to add the things that other restaurants include as standard. The burger really looks totally lost on its own on what really doesn't need to be such a big plate as it comes totally on its own except for the chips. Value wise, restaurants such as Bills and many other independent pubs easily beat this pub chain when it comes down to what you get for your pound.

Great mid week lunch stop off - greated by a friendly team who showed us through the conservatory we opted for the fixed price lunch deal great value at two courses for just £18.50 I enjoyed squid and then a whale of a fish n chips well my partner opted for the gammon & eggs and a chocolate brownie - warm welcoming a great value will definitely be back.

To be fair the food was a bit above average for this type of pub but what let it down was the very slow service. There seemed to be enough wait staff so presumably the kitchen could not cope on a fairly busy Friday lunchtime. Unbelievably only 2 types of both white and red wine are available by the glass & only one rose - a very overpriced one at that.

I enjoyed a tasty Friday evening roast dinner with my wife and friends, after swimming at Divers Cove and I am grateful for the efficient, personable, easy and attentive service from May, thanks.

This evening, we had a wonderful meal with close family—parents and in-laws—to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our children and our dog 🐕 were also present. The food was beautifully presented, with generous portions that were all clearly freshly made. The desserts were equally delicious, and the restaurant decorated a dish for the occasion.

Beautiful terrace, part of which is also non-smoking. There are also benches where you can sit relaxed. You can order from the staff or via a QR code.

Met an old friend here for drinks and a pizza. Not very busy but the atmosphere was good. Pizza was great. Service was top notch bar from when I had a drink spilt on me 😬. Pure accident and the waitress was very embarrassed bless her. Didn't spoil the night.

Came here for the second time after an awesome experience about 5 or 6 weeks prior. We had the wine and dine experience menu. The savioun blanc was good quality, we had 2 salt and pepper squid for starters, the 10oz rib eye steak and the pork belly and scallops for mains and the cheese selection and chocolate bomb for dessert. Amazing food and really high quality service from all involved from kitchen staff through to the bar staff and the servers and in particular I would like to mention Rowan who stopped for a chat. We had some drinks before the 3 course menu and some more after and we was allowed to start a tab for everything. Other customers are very friendly and we had a nice chat with the table next to us. My partner is a wheelchair user and she said she had no problems getting to and using the accessibility toilet on the premises.

We've just have a lovely lunch at the Bell. Luca the waiter really went above and beyond to make our time special. We would definitely recommend.

We'd been to the Plough at Eynsford (same owners) recently and I had the same meal there that I ordered at the Bell (yes boring but I SO enjoyed it at the Plough!) However, the squid at the bell was chewy and tasteless and the fish and chips not very nice either. I didn't complain as there were others in our group and I didn’t want to make a fuss. My wife was also disappointed in the food when we discussed it later. The service was excellent which made the mediocre food all the more disappointing..

Very accommodating! Booked for leaving drinks for colleagues and they took care of everything, reserving a space outside and inside to make sure we had somewhere weather dependent. Would recommend!

Visited here recently for a Sunday roast with my mother, the food and atmosphere was absolutely wonderful! We were attended to by the lovely waitress Immy, with super fast service and a lovely attitude we had the best time here and will be definitely coming again. Huge thanks to Immy and the other lovely staff who made our Sunday dinner so pleasant! Will definitely be returning for more as this seems to be a go-to spot in the Godstone area.

Prices are good and they are quick with getting your food to you and is amazing! Although the waitress is new, grace was a pleasure to be around and was so welcoming towards us and the rest of the staff were just as lovely.

I recently visited the Bell for some drinks and snacks, the gentlemen on the bar called Kyle made some amazing cocktails ! Great experience :) would recommend!

God awful. Forgotten about twice. Had to go and ask about my meal twice. Had to go get someone to place an order. QR code to order but there is no reception inside???? Back to the bar to get the WiFi code…. I think my steak was an old tennis shoe stuck in a fryer. Chips were beaut though. Nice decor but overall not supported by the food or service. Started Looking for basil fawlty….

We thought the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. We really liked the fact that the barman acknowledged us as we walked in. This had also been the case when we came in on the Friday to look at the menu. Everyone was very helpful.

From the moment we entered we were made welcome, and everything was no trouble. Fantastic manager Luca who dealt with a few requests I had( thank you again). Very accommodating, Fantastic staff, food was delicious- fillet steak cooked to perfection! Everyone enjoyed their meal and my mother in law had a wonderful birthday with family , so thank you everyone!

Beautifully located pub, just perfect for chilling in the sunshine. Came upon this pub somewhat by accident after viewing a property nearby and the beer garden was too tempting to resist. We had a couple of drinks and a few nibbles in the sunshine which was delightful. The service was excellent - efficient and incredibly friendly. Definitely plan to return again!

Good things The location is great as this was a family gathering with people coming from North of London, suburbs of London and West Sussex. On the day there was plenty of parking. The gardens are spacious with lots of picnic tables with canopies etc. Bad things However our experience on the very nice sunny day was pretty awful so here we go. This was a gathering of 8 adults made up of 3 couples, 2 in their 60's, one in their 30's an expectant mum, mid so's and a single man in his 60's plus a 15 month old. A mixed group. The table was booked for 12.30 and we were all there on time. We didn't, couldn't leave until 3.30 as everything was so slow. It wasn't that we were in a hurry but everything seemed to take ages which wasn't helped when orders were misunderstood and dishes had to be sent back and other ''I'll check with the kitchen' moments. Her are some more specifics; Very poor service. The starters & mains arrived at different times. Chris’s main was served first; the last main was served 15 minutes later. He asked for ketchup, but they said they would bring it after they had finished serving mains – he had finished by the time it arrived. Coffee and tea arrived a long time before desserts. We had to ask the staff to serve desserts, it felt as if they had forgotten us. They gave Chris honey ice cream instead of ginger; when he told them they got it wrong they said they would check what he had ordered ! Quality of food was poor. The food was overpriced. Goats cheese starter was poor quality. The truffle chips ordered as a main were plain chips. Gammon was small and tough. Gnocchi had been under a heat lamp for a while which spoiled it and at £16.75 not worth it, Had to ask for a spoon 3 times. Fishcakes were tiny, and they forgot the salad. Seabass portion was small and overcooked, it was hard around the edges. The spinach was not creamed; it was wet, tough, and inedible. The 2 scoops of ice cream ordered had melted in the bowl, so they put a fresh scoop on top. She had ordered espresso to pour over the top, but it was cold by the time the ice cream arrived. Had to ask for milk to go with tea. Hake overcooked. On the plus side Prawn starters were good and the trio of desserts was excellent and good value at £10.50. As you can see this is why I have marked it as a zero chance of us going back or recommending The Bell. This is a shame because I and others in the group have used it in the past and it's been fine and indeed some of the Google reviews have been good so maybe we were unlucky.

We had a really lovely dinner here on a rare child-free weekend. The food was excellent - especially the scallops, but defintitely no complaints about any of the other dishes. The service was also very good. We don't live nearby but would definitely come back next time we're in the area.

I’m a bit of a scallops fan - and these were seriously good. Pan fried, beautifully presented on a bed of interesting flavours and, with a side of green veg , the perfect lunch. My friends with bigger appetites really enjoyed their generous portions of lightly battered line- caught cod and chips. Price and service were also good. But, goodness, the building needs a bit of tlc! First impressions on the walk from the car park were not encouraging.

Just want to post this while I'm still emotional after having a walk around Godstone and the farm. I noticed the bar area is still a congested mess but I wanted to sit in the restaurant and I got seated straight away. Found it a little too hot in the conservatory area so went outside and had my pineapple soda with cheese doughnuts. Intensely fruity tropical drink, nice crispy snacks, very cute young local trainee who served me. (I didn't ask your name, you did a great job!)

We eat here regularly and are never disappointed in the food. The service can be slow at times, but the food is always worth the wait..

We all had a Sunday Roast and it was very nice. Meat cooked very well. Only small comment I would make is the Yorkshire was a little too big and lost the taste a bit and the cheese board desert needed a little more cheese. However this would not put me off coming again as food was extremely good

Food was underwhelming and expensive. The dining room was a mess, food all over the floor, drinks split on empty tables and left their the whole time we were there. Staff just chatting to eachother. Do not recommend

We’ve visited here twice recently. The first time was for a midweek lunch where the table service was a little slow. We had to wait longer than we’d have liked to order and pay the bill. We had lamb rump and pork belly, both were a decent portion size and very tasty. The pavlova and chocolate Bombe for dessert were very decadent! The second time, we visited mid afternoon on a Monday so it was a lot quieter. We ordered at the bar and the lady was very friendly and polite. Service was nice and prompt which was appreciated as we had a young baby with us who was quickly getting fussy! Once again, the food was very tasty. We opted for the lunch deal and had squid and pate for starters then fish and chips for main. The fish was a good size and the batter was crispy and light. We’ve been to their sister pub The Spring Tavern in Ewell for their Sunday roasts many times, so we look forward to coming to the Bell Inn in the future for one!

Rude staff especially the manager, food was greasy and over priced. The restaurant was empty but all the tables were left uncleared with food all over the place. Will not be returning

We booked a table for 4 adults and a baby on Easter Sunday for lunch after we had visited Godstone Farm. There is a good-sized free carpark with a couple of spaces that also have a charging facility for electric cars. The pub is very clean and tastefully decorated. It also has a large beer garden with lots of tables. We sat inside the conservatory area. We got drinks at the table very quickly and then ordered our meals. My sister totally forgot to order anything for their 1 year old until about 30 minutes after we had ordered the 4 meals for the rest of us. But despite this, her dinner arrived only minutes after ours did. The portions were great, and all the food was lovely and fresh. We will definitely be back. Thanks for looking after us all so well, especially as a baby that will remain nameless. Decided that a couple of menus would look much better ripped to bits and eaten [if we weren't looking]

The food was fantastic, a great selection on the menu, from burgers to steaks and linguine to pizza. Two ales on pump which were both very good too. Child friendly, a high chair was provided for our meal with plenty of space for us all to sit. We will definitely be back - thank you

Had a great dining experience here last weekend, the team were so lovely, it had just rained on the way in so our server, Neil, had kindly sat us at the radiator to dry off. Our food looked and tasted great and the venue itself was lovely. Will deffo pop back in if we’re in the area!

Always so consistent. The staff are so attentive and professional and great fun. Vegetarian nut roast was delicious

We used to love this pub/restaurant but I have revised my review of four years ago because we went there last night. All four of us were very disappointed that many of the vegan options have now been removed. Only one vegan starter, only one dessert. The vegan curry gone. The delicious chocolate billionaire bar gone! Crazy! The food that we did order was ok but we will not be returning. Our waitress Jasmine was lovely and concerned that we did not have the dining experience that we expected.

Went for lunch on a Friday - very strong smell of fish in the restaurant - it was obviously a popular dish on the set menu - had to wash my sweater the next day as the smell of fish was totally absorbed into it - never experienced that before and I can't have been the only customer to have that happen to them. The tap water was quite chlorinated so obviously not filtered. I won't be rushing back...........but it seems to be popular - decor was fine.

Took my Mum here for their Mothers Day 3 course special. We were warmly greeted by the maitre-de, and smoothly taken to our reserved table. Drinks and food orders were taken quickly but without feeling hurried. The food was fantastic. We had the scallops (outstanding), followed by roast beef and the pork belly (I had the pork but thought the beef looked even better). For desert we both had the berry pavlova which was decedent and very sweet. The service was impeccable and food really well presented, decent sized portions and very tasty. 9.5/10. Highly recommended and I felt worth the money and gave generous tip.

Sunday roasts are fantastic. Just enough food, not so much that you’re full to bursting. Only slight issue was I found my beef slightly tough but this may be because we couldn’t get a table until a little later in the day (14:45) and the beef had been cooked some time before. The table next to us that came in around 15:15 ordered the same and their beef was nice and pink. Will definitely go back again and give it another try. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good roast at a reasonable price.

Very nice food, service and environment.

We were a party of 10, 5 adults and 5 young children. The menu was broad enough to suit all, even picky children, and you were able to adapt menu items. Food was tasty and plentiful - most importantly the children were happy!! Thanks.

The ambience was nice. The place was clean and fresh. The soup was excellent, although the knob end of a piece of bread is hardly classed as a slice and needed another slice and there was no butter served with the bread. A soup spoon rather than a desert spoon should have been served with the soup. The chicken burger was tasty but the 2 chunks of pickled cucumber was somewhat minimal! I ordered a side salad,which was not a side salad it was garnish, it was ridiculous to class less than 1 handful of leaves as a side salad, it was ostensibly garnish!

The quality of the meals is excellent. Has some gluten free options but misses some gluten free basics, eg bread.
