The best restaurants in Tandridge South East

On the 19th January we arrived at Lamingtons tea rooms for a pre booked afternoon tea for myself, my Dad, brother, sister in law and sister. It was a difficult day for us being a year to date our mum had suddenly passed away. We wanted to remember her and knew she always loved a cream tea. After hearing such good reviews about Lamingtons we decided to take the plunge and book on a Sunday afternoon. Well from start to finish our experience was absolutely fantastic, we were met by the lovely Mark who introduced himself to us, so welcoming we were greated like old friends. We were sat at a large round table at the front, where we could admire the beautiful decor of the tea room. We were offered a non alcoholic Prosecco which was absolutely delicious and you would never have known it was alcohol free! Well when the afternoon tea came out we were taken back how delicious it looked so much variety , one of us had a gluten free version and you would not have known the difference it was so nice to see the gluten free person wasn’t missing out with limited choice. Well the food was so delicious so fresh and so plentiful, the teapot was kept filled up by Mark too and he kept an eye on us making sure everything was ok and popping over to talk to us. I cannot say how fantastic this place is, such a gem and we cannot wait to come back, oh and a big shout out to whoever was in the kitchen preparing all the delicious food.

We came here for my birthday lunch and were blown away by the quality of food, friendly staff, price and overall feel of the place. We did the lunch deal and we were so impressed with how much you got for the price. Our server was so lovely and attentive, and made me feel really special on my birthday. It has the feel of much more expensive Japanese restaurants in London and is a real asset to Oxted. Cannot recommend this place more and we're already planning when we'll be coming back!

Unbelievable!!! Nicola and the whole Zilli family were able to assist in a special surprise birthday for my wife (at short notice as well) where she went incredibly out of her way to ensure the evening was great for all of us. The care and attention to detail and assistance throughout in setting everything up for the evening was amazing. Add all of that to the food which as usual was delicious at every bite and it’s hard to think of going anywhere else (or in this case having them come to us) for an amazing family/special night! I will always recommend Casa Zilli for any occasion and cannot say thank you enough.

To be honest I had been put off by the prices , but my error was comparing these to other Indian restaurants. This is like no other local establishment. First of all , the service is faultless. Secondly the food is outstanding quality and with unique ( for me ) presentation . My seafood byriani came with a puff pastry topping like a pie , which the chef explained let the byriani cook in its own steam. Beautiful. Every dish was a delight. And cost wise, we brought enough away for a light supper tomorrow. Thoroughly recommend.

Love this cafe. Good, traditional cafe food and drinks all served by very friendly people who can’t do enough for you. It’s very clean which is important. It’s our go to place as my teen loves the Oreo milkshakes and a no. 1 breakfast. The healthy breakfasts are what I usually go for. No chia seeds or organic produce here but great for avocado and poached eggs on brown toast with bacon or smoked salmon etc and the coffee is great!

Superb Sunday Carvery lunch, plenty to choose starters and deserts to choose from, crispy potatoes on the mains. All the staff we friendly and helpful. Will definitely return very soon..

Ordered a delivery from here tonight. I live local and it was delivered within 20 minutes. Pizza was delicious and chicken wings good. All food was hot. I would definitely order again

Have been driving past Scoop for the past couple of months since it opened and it’s always busy - we stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon, the staff are great and talked us through the best way to ‘build’ our dessert!! You choose your base (you can have a brownie, waffle, cookie dough 🤤 and even half a croissant !!) then select your ice cream flavour, then sauce and then topping! This place even does candy floss 🤤 For our first visit we had a waffle with millionaire ice cream topped with caramel sauce and honeycomb pieces. I had milk chocolate cookie dough topped with millionaire ice cream, biscoff sauce and biscoff pieces. They also do milkshakes, donuts and coffee! Will be back again soon

Amazing place if you can find it. Hope they are open for Christmas we will be back😊 Although they nay need some heaters for the outdoor area.

Sonia and the team are so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Very tasty breakfasts, all cooked fresh, presented well, and great portions too.

I visit here once a month on the way back from kent, Had a quater pounder with cheese meal and a mcflurry. Nicely cooked and quick service. Plenty of ketchup available.

Visited this lovely little coffee place with friends. Very spacious and clean, lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff. We had a mix of coffees and milkshakes which were delicious, as well as cupcakes and toasties which were also lovely. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

This lovely cafe has a very welcoming atmosphere, a good menu (with gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options) and friendly service. The food is well prepared and presented and very tasty.

This was the 4th time we've been eating here, and it did not disappoint. The food, as always, was exceptionally good. The staff were attentive and engaging on what was a busy evening. I can't recommend Kinjo enough if you are looking for a great Japanese meal and a great night out. Just been back again and still it is top notch.

Absolutely delicious pizzas, and this is coming from an Italian 😊. I had the nduja pizza, yummy. Fab flavours. Bravi!
