The Belvedere Arms in Windsor and Maidenhead

First visit was a delight. Really interesting menu and the food and service were great. Fantastic fish choice and good to have several vegetarian options. The staff made it special producing a birthday dessert for our 4 year old who was delighted. Well done Caitlyn

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently dined at the Belvedere Arms, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for a delightful meal. The Belvedere is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service. I can’t wait to return and try more dishes from their menu!

This place cannot be beaten for atmosphere, service, food, and value for money. This was our first time sampling their Sunday roast menu, and we were blown away by the quality. We have come to exodct very high standards from this place, standards to which they always manage to exceed.

Lovely pub not far from Savill Gardens. Great service and selection of beers. Fantastic Sunday roasts too.

Lovely hidden gem. We were very pleased with our first dinner experience. Warm welcoming hospitality from the beginning from lovely Nicoleta ( thank you ❤️) and not only as all the staff we kind, polite and keen to make you feel comfortable. All service was right in time, we never had any waiting feeling, starting from being seated going to ordering, being served, or when we asked for anything in between. Food was delicious, cocktails were perfect ( and I wanted to mention as it happened so often to order a cocktail and I received just a mix of liquids that was far away to impress me ). Thank you The Belvedere Arms team, we will definitely be back.

Alice recommended the Douro red wine which was delicious and went perfectly with the lamp rump, also very tasty. Great atmosphere and so glad we popped in for a bite to eat.

We went to the Belvedere Arms to celebrate my son finishing his masters. The food was really good, however the service was appalling. We note it was busy, however, after the dessert menus were left with us, it took 20 mins for an order to be taken and this was only done as my son went up to the hosting station. Further, the staff poorly communicated with one another meaning duplicates of drinks arrived at our table. The apology for the bad service was poor as we were told they prioritised other tables as they were ordering drinks and it was more profitable, nothing like true hospitality. Lastly, the bill was severely wrong and no apology was made. If you go to Belvedere Arms, the only arms that will be raised is for the attention of your server.

Haven't been to the Belvedere Arms since the refurbishment, the place looks great! We were greeted by a very helpful and friendly staff member called Olivia. Olivia looked after us all the way through the meal, checked that each course was to our satisfaction and checked numerous times if we needed drinks or anything else.

Fab location with great food & service; especially love this spot and often take friends & family here. Will be back soon!

With regret I am writing this review. I have gave the restaurant time to sort an issue that happened around 10 days now with no response that I was promised. My self and my partner went for dinner here one evening, we both had roast dinners and a couple of drinks. The food as always was great. However after finishing our drinks I asked for the bill which took around 15 minutes to come. I paid the bill in full and left a tip via Cash. Upon walking and entering my vehicle a member of staff came running out of the restaurant with waiving a card reader demanding payment Infront of everyone out side of the restaurant. Not only was this so embarrassing branding us making it look as if we was trying to make off without payment, I was in my sign written vehicle with my business advertisement all over. I'm a local business and this could have such a negative impact on my future business! I waited in the car park for a short while after but no one came out to apologise or nothing for there wrong doing. It's Genuinely such a shame. I would always of recommended this place to all of my friends family and clients, however after this and not even receiving a apology unfortunately it will only go the other way now and I can't recommend any business people visit

This place is a real hidden gem. Phenomenal food, wonderful welcoming service and more than reasonable prices. Perfectly situated for an afternoon stroll around Virginia Waters either before or after sustenance

I had the pleasure of dining here for the first time today. The service was fantastic and the food was served very quickly. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better. The staff and management were friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. I’m looking forward to returning soon.

Booked a table for 5 of us at 7.30pm, service was bad throughout the time we were in the restaurant, staff didn't seem to know what they doing or what certain drinks were took 4 attempts to get the correct order. Waitress pretty much threw plates on table when we finally got the meals after waiting over an hour and no smile... Real shame about service and atmosphere as the food itself was lovely.

The barman was friendly, so were the serving staff. The food is very mediocre, and there is very little effort with presentation.

Absolutely fantastic food and brilliant service from Olivia and the team. There were 17 of us for Mum’s 80th birthday and nothing was too much trouble. We were really looked after from start to finish. Thanks for making a memorable day so special.

What a lovely pub. Very welcoming. Jay our server, was great. He took our order down correctly (wanted some items removed from meals as didn't like them) checked back on us, if everything was ok. Food delicious, as always.

Some of the worst pub food we’ve ever eaten. I cannot believe this is a 4.5 on google. Kids chicken burnt Kids burger burnt. Adults fish and chips - fish over cooked, chips burnt where they’d been cooked and cooked again. Tartare sauce was mayonnaise with gherkins in it. Absolutely vile, honestly it was putrid. Crab starter was ok, but sourdough bread tasted a little state. Wine was really good and the staff were really nice. In all fairness they took off all the mains and discounted the wine. But we drove a long way to eat here. Never again.

We had a 3-course dinner in Belvedere Arms on New Year's day. I was blown away by how delicious and well-presented the dishes were. The chef deserves a lot of credit for his work. Service was impeccable with friendy and attentive staff. Our waitress, Maria, was really great. All in all, it was one of the best experiences we had with eating out post-Covid.

Very poor service and near hostile reception. Sadly, I had to leave with my family. No body should ever be treated that way or accept to be so treated.

We had a Sunday roast here today, all of the food was amazingly delicious. We had the lamb and it was the best we have had, whilst dining out, in a long time. The service we received from Helen was excellent. Very helpful and made our visit a delight. We will be definitely coming here again.

My apologies I hate leaving a negative however in this instance I thought that it was important. First things first my poor score with regards to the atmosphere was that there was none. Now this could be because of early arrival at 10.00am? However we appeared to be the only diners at this time and we did not get served our breakfast until 10.45am. Then the breakfasts themselves, poached eggs that were hard boiled certainly not runny or indeed as the photographs would suggest. Then the toast a real challenge to cut through. Coffee, would have been nice if it was hot, not instantly drinkable. A shame but had to be noted, sorry.

The place is so beautiful! Plenty of outside seating and also free parking . The staff is really polite and friendly. We were not fully impressed with the food though. It was 4 of us and we had 4 dishes. Seabass and lamb were good, but the chicken liver parfait and banana blossom not great at all. We were curious about the banana blossom but it is just deep fried small pieces full of oil. I would avoid this dish. Everything else spot on, especially the atmosphere in the garden on a sunny day with mojitoes. We will be back.

1st time here, what a lovely pub… From a warm friendly greeting to all the cool different areas to sit… Squid to start which has a spicy mayo base, followed up with a Dirty Burger 🍔… Big thanks to Nicole for looking after us…made the experience super enjoyable We will back!

This was an amazing culinary experience with fantastic, attentive service from Olivia, I would highly recommend the rib-eye steak, medium rare, with a side portion of garlic prawns, millionaire chips and of course my favorite, pepper-corn sauce. This will be nicely complemented with a glass of red South African wine. I hope to be back soon.

Back at the Belvedere Arms for supper with my lovely wife. I was actually using a promotional voucher but I’ve been happy to pay full price here for the last two years. The food is always good, the staff are great and it’s a great spot, right next to Great Windsor park. The food was tasty and good portions the staff are very good asked all the right questions about allergies and kept coming over to ask if everything was OK which it was. Really beautiful food well cooked and beautifully presented and very tasty and a great price. A three course meal for £32 a head very good all round.

Everything was great, food incredible, some of the best squid we have ever had and the roast was amazing, as always. Beef cooked to perfection, veg unreal. Gravy could be a little thicker however it was bottomless so just asked for a little more. Service was super efficient, everything came out at a good time, not too fast or too slow. We decided to sit outside and were worried that table service wouldn’t be as good as the restaurant (only from experience elsewhere) but we were looked after thoroughly and will 100% be returning!

We went to the Belvedere Arms for Father's Day with 4 children aged 21 to 14. Everybody came out saying this was probably yhe best family meal we had to date! The food was really delicious, so tasty and presented better than in many supposedly great restaurants. The service was perfect. The value for money was real. We are already planning to go back. Thank you to all the team there who made this so special!

We had a really fabulous meal for six of us on Friday night. The service from Jay and Jarryn was absolutely first class. They could not have been more helpful, professional and kind and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious and we all ate every mouthful. Thanks very much and we will definitely be back.

Great option in Ascot although very quiet

Haven't been here for years not sure why not as we live locally,but very pleased we did.Friendly bar staff and pizzas were AMAZING will definitely be back.

Food was very poor. The steak was burnt on the outside and very bloody inside. Not a great fillet cut either, especially for the price. Overhearing the staff complaining about other customers sending food back was the cherry on top. Didn't bother staying for dessert and won't be back in a hurry.

We enjoyed dinner and drinks out with our teens and dog on bank holiday Monday. The service, refurbed decor, atmosphere and food were all wonderful. I have no idea why this place isn’t packed, every night of the week! Parking is so easy with lots of space. The pub garden at the front is next to the road, but that isn’t an issue - there is a lot of seating, it’s beautifully lit and sits alongside a little stream. Thank you for a great evening.

Nicely located on a (busy) country lane right next to Virgina Water. Perfect spot to go for Sunday lunch before / after a walk around the lake. Nice staff. Definitely worth booking in advance especially on the weekend.

Menu is good and varied; service is excellent. The ambiance is peaceful and contemporary making it an enjoyable and relaxing space.

The food you find in this place is top notch for a pub atmosphere! Highly recommended whether it’s a friend’s hangout or a date night ! Proper place. Love the outside garden setup. Reasonably priced.

The Food we ordered was not good! We ordered 2 pies that only contained Gravy! No meat filling at all.. I put a complaint in regarding the disappointment. They refunded one meal which was my son’s but to be honest. it spoilt the experience. Me and my son left the restaurant hungry but at least my mother had enjoyed her meal.

I love the renovation, the new menu and the event menus too. Parking is easy. Food is tasty and affordable. It is local. We are definitely regulars here.

Atmosphere is lovely. Roast was good but not great, dessert was great. The roast could have been improved with a jug of gravy vs arriving with gravy already poured as I feel they didn’t add enough. Roast potatoes also very dry. Beef was lovely though. Service was a bit slow too but it was one person working the area I was seated. Overall, I’ll definitely go back as atmosphere is great and food was good.

I brought my family for a dinner and everyone loved it! My sons loved the fish and chips. The staff was very attentive, the service was quick and the atmosphere was lovely.

We had a family get together booked at belvedere. The food and service was just amazing. It was a busy day and Olivia looked after our table. From starters, to mains and desserts everything was delicious and we all had a memorable meal. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you

Food is very very average. Had the fish and chips and the chips weren’t cooked well at all. Food doesn’t justify the price-tag, and the environment whilst nice doesn’t make up for the poor product. Service was pretty poor. Found myself always having to ask for things, not very proactive. Colouring sheets and pencils were offered for my daughter, which was nice, but all of the pencils ends are blunt and so couldn’t actually be used. (Why even offer?)
