Tidy little pub with a garden at the back and nice bit of frontage. Went for a couple after work and was a pleasant experience , no riff-raff was seen.

Nipped in for a quick beer after spending a day planting trees at the nearby Ockwell Park. A very warm welcome and a lovely pint of Atlantic ale. Very nice traditional pub. Will return to try the food.

Good pint, but shocking customer service from the lady behind the bar - no smile, no eye to eye contact, could tell was impatient, wanted us out the way quick as possible, no thank you, pub wasn't even busy with queuing customers. To confirm this.. exactly the same on 2nd pint.

Wow! My wife and I were quite anxious about going to a pub who's never done food during our 5 yesrs in Maidenhead. I had Steak Pie & chips and my wife had a panini and chips. It was excellent! Today we went for a Sunday roast and I was expecting it to be "okay", but it was quite possibly the best roast I've had in a long time! (I'm a chunky northerner who loves his roast dinners). I don't normally post positive comments, my bad, but this was extraordinary. I'd definitely recommend their Sunday roasts. They're also ensuring their customers AND staff are operating safely. My wife and I are both extremely anxious about Covid since we were both extremely unwell with it in March/April. This is the only venue we've both felt safe in. Huge well done to Jenny & Martin, & their staff for their amazing community support and the hard work they've all put in to ensure their business remains an essential part of this wonderful community.

Anyone saying that this pub is not up to the mark is not being very honest to trip advisor or to themselves for that matter, like many others i do read reviews before i try somewhere new, however recently no so much and i'll tell you for why, I had to meet friends that i hadn't seen since running a pub myself in maidenhead a few years ago, i'd never used this pub at all while living near by so didn't really know what to expect, I've never been made to feel as welcome as i did when visiting here, the bar team the management and the locals are the full package, there are a couple of other local pubs including my old place that really do not come close to being as hospitable, This is not a corporate managed house this a blood sweat and tears house where the management have had to graft to get the place where it is today, i visited on a Tuesday and the place was buzzing thats a first in this area, thank you for a great experience,

Nothings changed except the prices since my Feb 17 review. Fosters now an extortionate £4.00 per pint, the landlord can't be bothered to serve customers or provide food despite the misleading outside signage. Far better value and food to be had at The Thatched Cottage and The Pondhouse

March 2018 - draught beer ramped up by £0.10 per pint - most other pubs creep theirs up by £0.05. Supermarket wine at £16.00 per bottle available as an accompaniment to their extensive range of crisps, nuts, chocolate bars and sweets described on the sign as "always serving good food". Far better value is simple to find in the area.

The best little drinking hole in Cox green. It's clearly a local favourite with a broad age group. Good music and a great place for sports fans. Staff are friendly and the patrons too. Additionally thete is a dart board and a place outside to have a drink. Lovely garden to the rear.

This is the only pub left in Cox Green and yet, instead of maximising on this opportunity, the owner chooses to drink the stock, rather than order any! Visited on a Wednesday night - no Carling, no Fosters, no Rebellion, no white wine, no gin to mention a few. Apparently they had a busy weekend! As always the staff are taking the flak but these owners couldn't run a bath. All we are hearing from behind the bar is 'no, it's gone now'.

We moved into the local area in August 2016. We started popping in for drink at weekends and soon became regulars. The bar staff and owners are very friendly, warm and welcoming! The football is always on and we enjoy having a game of darts. We have now become friends with the crowd of locals and often take our kids in to during the day at weekends. Clare behind the bar bought them colouring books and colouring pencils - which we thought was a lovely touch. Last weekend they put on a big Easter egg hunt for all the local kids! Free of charge. The kids loved it and all got really excited and lots of treats! Thanks BM team it was great 😊

I often go here after walking my dog. The pub is so friendly and the locals are friendly as well. There is usually a good crowd, sport on tv, darts in the corner and plenty of tables and chairs. Usually a bit of lively banter and chatter is going on. Well liked with the locals. I do wish it served food. You can get chips or peanuts at the bar.

Once upon a time this was one of the leading food pubs in the area. Nowadays despite the outside signs stating "Always serving good food" choice is limited to nuts and crisps. Essentially it is an overpriced beer house with regular price increases keeping it amongst the most expensive in Maidenhead. Another unusual aspect is that the Landlord will never go behind the bar and serve drinks however busy and understaffed the pub may be.
