The service was a big let down during our visit. I ordered sencha tea and received a gun powder tea instead which has a very distinct taste I do not like. I pointed it out to the waiter who apologised and took the tea away but then brought it back telling me my tea is in fact sencha and that gun powder is a brand of this tea, while it's very clear that it's Ivy's own brand on the label. I don't think any of the staff members knew the difference so I didn't want to argue, but bringing the same cup of tea after taking it away from me and thinking they can convince me it's the tea I ordered was not a very nice experience to say the least. A few minutes later our food order arrived and it was wrong as well.

I’ve been to The Ivy in Marlow, Brighton, Guildford, and now Windsor. This one is definitely the best. Faultless service and lovely staff.

It was the best service ever, as people say. Although there was some construction outside which may have obstructed the view, we had a wonderful time.

As all the ivy restaurants, atmosphere is great! We tasted the ivy 1917 menu, it was one of the best sea brass I ate in UK. Special thanks to Semih for serving us :)

The place has a very eclectic style. In my opinion, they added too many stamps to the wall in the first two rooms. The one leading to the toilet is more balanced. And the toilet is smashing. They have lively, shiny, pinkish wallpaper throughout; it is a bold decoration in itself. We had afternoon tea, and the bread of all the sandwiches was dry; the scones were nice, the pastry too sweet for my taste.

Food not very tasty for the prove you have to pay

I had high expectations for The Ivy in Windsor, but unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. Food Quality: The food was extremely underwhelming for the price. My main course arrived lukewarm, and the flavors were bland at best. The steak, which was supposed to be medium-rare, was overcooked and tough. The sides lacked seasoning, and the dessert tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. For a restaurant that prides itself on premium dining, I expected far better. Service: The service was shockingly poor. The staff seemed indifferent and inattentive. We had to wait an unreasonably long time for our drinks, and when they arrived, one of the orders was incorrect. Getting the attention of a waiter felt like an impossible task, and there was no sense of warmth or hospitality. Atmosphere: While the décor is stylish, the ambiance was ruined by how overcrowded and noisy the restaurant was. It felt more like a chaotic chain restaurant than an upscale dining experience. Tables were crammed together, making conversations difficult, and the lighting was uncomfortably dim. Overall, The Ivy in Windsor is all style and no substance. With overpriced food, lackluster service, and a disappointing atmosphere, I certainly won’t be returning. There are far better options in Windsor for the same price—or even less.

🏰😍I love this local restaurant which has several outlets across the UK and originated in London. I have visited for afternoon tea with the girls, for date night drinks and supper and dinner. The restaurant vibe is stunning with views of Windsor Castle and the buzz of the high street. Service is prompt, friendly, and helpful. Just love the food here, always perfectly prepared 😋 👌

I took my grandmother for the festive afternoon tea on the 30th December. The afternoon tea itself was decent, my grandmother enjoyed it. Most of the staff seemed lovely, although the lady who served the table next to us was going behind my grandmother telling her to push her chair in and not once did she tell the man who was sitting behind my grandmother to push his chair in when he was clearly causing the lack of space. This really upset me as my grandmother is partially disabled and she can’t feel her legs. This was extremely insensitive and my grandmother felt really embarrassed by this situation. Not all disabilities are visible and I think staff clearly need to be better trained, or maybe they care about other customers more. I probably won’t be returning after this experience.

We had a reservation for two on a Tuesday afternoon and our experience was great at the Ivy Windsor. We are not unfamiliar with the Ivy restaurants and have visited various restaurants across London and the south. The food was great, as usual and the service was excellent. As an added bonus as it was my wife’s birthday they bought out a little miniature cake with a candle which was entirely unexpected. Thank you to Ivy Windsor.

Our recent visit to The Ivy fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were seated in the bar area at a sticky table, and no one approached us to take a drinks order while we waited for our table to be ready. When we were eventually seated, the table was wobbly — though the waitress did her best to fix it. The starters were enjoyable, but the mains lacked excitement and didn’t live up to the usual Ivy standard. The service here was not up to ivy standards which was a shame given this was my parents first, and potentially last ivy visit. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was affected by a table behind us playing videos loudly on their phones, which staff did not address. Overall, this visit didn’t measure up to our previous experiences at The Ivy, which is disappointing given their usual high standards.

My dish was uninspiring. The fishcake was lukewarm and tasted bland. However, sister and husband enjoyed their mushroom linguine and duck rendang. Very expensive for what it is. No atmosphere, feels very much like a chain restaurant. Service, our waitress was very good, however when dealing with the manager, Rory, I was shocked at his attitude. The menu outside and inside promoted the £19.95 for two courses. We were told by our waitress this was not available until Monday. She didn’t have the authority to rectify this so she said she would get the manager. I expected to hear “Hi, I’m x, the manager, my colleague has informed me…, sorry this isn’t available, can I offer you…” But we received an abrupt “can I help you?” so we had to explain the issue again and met with the rude response of “It’s not available so…” and then he walked off. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t come back.

I had Sunday lunch on 29.12.24, and while I have had good meals in the past, I would not recommend the Roast Dinner - it was tasteless. I also ordered the cheese selection and there was another miss when the cheese was too cold to enjoy. Our food was returned, with over 50% remaining, and the staff made no comments and did not request any feedback. The bill, as usual, included a 12.5% tip, which says it is discretionary but, in fact, is expected and was added automatically upon payment. Overall very unsatisfactory and did not meet expectations for the bill paid

Excellent experience-wonderfully decorated restaurant with food and service to match. All dishes were excellent and our server Christian was truly superb…highly recommend!

We had a fairly good meal at the Ivy, my fellow diners are awkward and tend to order off menu, which the staff dealt with very well. The reason for the 2 star is the lack of gluten free alternatives for my 10 year old celiac daughter. She was told she could have grilled fish, or grilled chicken, that is it, she couldn’t even have chips. The waiting staff were polite, and knowledgable, and completely embarrassed by the situation. They seem to want put flour in everything there for some reason, completely unnecessary Ivy, must try harder.

Tasty food and elegant dining setting

Cosy environment. It was lovely service, although they didn’t give Christmas crackers for a festive menu despite it’ being advertised on their menu as having such. But the chef does not know how to prepare a steak. I ordered a medium, and they served well-done steak. I checked the reviews, and it’s the common theme of reviews. The chef needs training on how to prepare a basic steak.

We had the most wonderful afternoon at the ivy. Shaun was the most attentive barman you could wish for. Cocktails were amazing and his company was all you could wish for. I look forward to going back again in the future ☺️ merry Christmas x

Really enjoyable trip to The Ivy Windsor. We were a group of three who visited for breakfast. I had the avocado and poached eggs and two pots of decaffeinated tea. Good service (although a little slow when we were ready to leave). Very good food. I love the decor and the ladies toilets were spotless and had really unusual wallpaper. Would definitely visit again.

We have a £50 voucher for the Ivy from a gift, as we like the restaurant near home. Whilst visiting Windsor we thought we might use it here. We asked to look at the menu from the hostess at the entrance. Whilst looking others were waiting behind, so we offered to move aside to which she replied "I can't have people standing around the door you need to choose really". My cousin asked to use the toilet whilst we were looking and she said "if you book a table, we are not a public bathroom". ...The food may have well been great but, we didn't book a table.

We enjoyed our afternoon Tea, thank you but the service was not to standard, also we booked a festive afternoon tea we didn’t even get a cracker!! But they would give us one for £2.50 each!! So you can see last years and this year 2024 there won’t be a 2025

This place was very busy when we walked, with no appointment unfortunately, and they were thankfully still able to accommodate. Staff were friendly, efficient, very helpful and accommodating as they ensured all food were free of specific allergies.

Brunch. Beautiful setting with a wonderful decor. Service was good, but things were forgotten on service. I had to ask several times for table water. The food was very flavoursome, but not very warm. Perhaps I was expecting to much.

Awful, popped in for a quick drink about 1030pm, we were ignored by all the staff who seemed more intent on tidying everything away than actually serving anyone. It's not like we weren't noticed, several members of staff looked straight at us but scurried off with a "I'm busy doing something else" look on their faces.

3 of us went to the Ivy in Windsor, my husband ordered the ribe eye on the bone at 39£, so disappointing chewy and grizzly! Complained to the waitress and head waiter but no response! Not a place to order steak! Will not be back.

Came here for a festive afternoon tea and came out disappointed. The bread on the salmon sandwich was stale, which was a shame as there is a 2h slot for afternoon tea to be served which should avoid this. The sweet bit of the tea was interesting. Coconut and chocolate snowball was lovely but the almond mince pie was about the size of my thumb! The scones were nice and warm which somewhat made up for it... but not for £36. The staff were very lovely and helpful throughout the evening but unfortunately it was soured by an additional afternoon tea being served to us. Upon query, we were told as it had been eaten and served then nothing could be done, but with it all being not served individually, how would we know! We see food on our table and eat it. So that was an unexpected and unplanned extra £36... I had some chips which were nice and crispy, so I might go and try out a normal meal, but never afternoon tea there again.

I recently had lunch at the Ivy Windsor to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday . The staff were so friendly and John our waiter was excellent , and just made the lunch such a great occasion .

A somewhat enjoyable evening mainly due to the excellent attention of Khalil who was brilliant. Unfortunately they do not know how to cook a ribeye steak which was completely tasteless, although, to be fair when we took it home the dogs did enjoy it. The scallops were cold and undercooked, sort of boiled and lacking flavour. The cheese soufflé was good the Turkey main was good, the burger was good. The desert was excellent. Food 3/10 service 10/10 the cocktails were superb.

Very good service ,tasty food they were in middle of changing wine list so no white burgundy available so we ended up with a rather expensive Australian Chardonnay

Just had the 2 couse special offer. Chicken skewers and shepherd's pie. Both really nice food. Good portion for price. Highly recommend Staff really pleasant and nothings too much trouble.

Service never really recovered after Covid at any of the Ivy restaurants but the food and comfort of being somewhere familiar is still well worth coming back.

The food is so poor for this price level and this kind of place. Design is funky and the vibe is ok, good location for Windsor I guess, but the food is really really poor, really bad. You pay 40 pounds for a rib eye steak and you’re eating a lame piece of rubber with no taste.

Beautiful restaurant, loved the decor, staff very nice and competent. We had the full afternoon tea with great scones, good cupcake and decent sandwiches. BUT a disappointingly soggy chou bun and a completely stale Madeleine, so stale it was crunchy. I was there with my mum and didn't want to make a fuss but that wasn't good enough for the £35 per person.

Had a lovely family dinner on Saturday evening. Menu choice was good and food quality excellent. I had the shepherds pie each was lovely, others had fish and chicken. Portions were just right. Desserts were really lovely. It was a busy night atmosphere buzzing with all tables full and everyone seemed to be having a great evening enjoying the autumnal feeling. Quite a few birthdays being celebrated. Lovely decor and I love the comfortable bar area to either wait for a table or just sit and enjoy a drink and snacks which some people were doing.

The Ivy Windsor is such a stunning conservatory atmosphere restaurant and bar. It is filled with the Color of Love. I had a very nice dinner here and was well cared for by the staff. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and filling. In my observation, this seems to be the quintessential place in Windsor for Afternoon Tea, intimate conversations, and quality dining. Plus, the who's who seem to frequent here, so you never who you maybe sitting near. Thank You for whisking me away into a garden setting to temper the, so anxious, feeling for, what must I say what must I do, since I, can't let go. Today, blowing in the wind home.

I had an exceptional dining experience at The Ivy in Windsor! The fish and chips were hands down the best I’ve ever had—perfectly crispy and fresh, with a light batter that didn’t overpower the fish. The shepherd’s pie was outstanding as well, hearty and rich with beautifully seasoned meat and a creamy potato topping. The ambiance was simply amazing, offering a stylish yet comfortable setting that made the meal even more enjoyable. Service was quick and efficient, without feeling rushed. Definitely recommend making a reservation as it’s a popular spot. A must-visit!

In terms of Japanese yen, it's an outrageous price range. Putting money aside, they provided me with peace of mind and a delicious meal even though I'm a non-speaker. Thank you for the meal. Everyone please come in safely♪

Really disappointing! This was my first visit to the Ivy, I went with a friend for brunch. I walked in and thought “Wow! What a beautiful place…” however, from then on it was disappointing… The food was fine, but I was not wowed by it and it was very expensive for what it was. But the most disappointing part of the visit was the service. We had been at our table for less than 20 minutes and had only just received our drinks, when the waiter came over and asked if we had decided on our food (for the third time) and we asked him for a few more minutes. He then told us that we were on a time limit and we couldn’t have the table all day, so we needed to order there and then. I completely understand that we can’t have the table all day, and we certainly didn’t expect to… but we instantly felt like we were being rushed and they just wanted us “in and out again asap” we hadn’t even been in the restaurant for 20 minutes at this point… When my friend finished her food, the same waiter came over and took her bowl away and then attempted to pick mine up too… while I was still eating. He did apologise, but this was just another thing that made us feel that they couldn’t wait for us to leave. It ended up being a very quick, and very expensive brunch… and that was definitely not what we were looking for. I wouldn’t return to The Ivy, my experience was that it is over priced and the service was below average.

Fabulous meal with outstanding service. Highly recommended. We are local and this will be our go to venue for celebrating. Our second visit and everything was even better, just outstanding. We love this place.

Had a wonderful anniversary meal here last night. Not somewhere we've been to previously and very glad we did. The place overall is delightful, well designed and has a very opulent feel that's almost a trip back in time. It was busy and the atmosphere was good, I would say it's quite cosy. The staff are all very polite and attentive, hard to find any complaints here, service was great all round. Food was also very good, tbh I felt stuffed but still managed to find room for some desert and tea. Wish I hadn't but it was really good. A great evening with good food and service.

This is a top notch establishment in every way. Nothing less than 5 stars. The quality of food is excellent, with dishes cooked to perfection. Courteously served by professional friendly staff with a smile. The ambiance and exceptional interior design is first class, a high end dining experience in every way, a perfect choice for festive occasions, truly enjoyable from beginning to end. Arguably the best restaurant in Windsor, and highly recommended to visit. Certainly a venue to return to in the future.

Visited here a few times, the staff are absolutely brilliant, the food and service is first class, definitely the best chain restaurant around.

Great brunch on the August Bank hols. Full English, great black pudding. A sneaky mimosa on the side. The eggs benedict with ham hock was also delicious.

Faultless food and service; despite busy night (with great atmosphere) the team delivered the best; all six of us only had good things to say about the amazing staff and simply superb food; well done The Ivy!

Love this place. Been so many times and always consistent. Food and menu is great, atmosphere is perfect, staff and really polite and accommodating. I wish all restaurants had this standard of service. Will definitely be back.

Lenny and Martha were amazing!! Lenny served us and really had such an upbeat caring energy to her! Martha helped deal with the chicken milinaise (chicken being pink) explaining why it is pink and that the chicken is temp checked. Also related to her as a fellow emetaphobia girlie and gave amazing suggestions that would help my anxiety when eating out. Couldnt have asked for a better experience and the food was lovely.

I have been traveling for 10 days and it is rare to be able to eat delicious food in the UK⋯⋯😅😅

Nice place that feels like michelin place without the price 2 course for $20 pounds is quite worth it The tomato soup is abit too sour for our liking The roasted lamp rumb was not bad but it’s very tough to chew. The berry and hazelnut sundae is a must order. Very rich in flavor and very nice.

We have now visited two of the Ivy chain restaurants. Non of them disappointed. The staff, good, decor, service, food were all A1. I highly recommend. We went to the Windsor one last night with 10 other people to Celebrate his birthday. Great welcoming team, attention to deal, no mistakes, awesome.

Lenny was just brilliant, nothing a problem, always making sure we had drinks etc, clearing courses beautifully in a way hardly anyone does these days - a credit to the restaurant, really,really good - she made the night special. Una experiencia horrible. No se recomienda, nunca volvería a entrar. El expreso costó 2 libras y media, era una taza diminuta y ni siquiera estaba lleno. Les pedí que lo llenaran más y lo rechazaron. Dijeron que llenar totalmente toda la taza (que enfatizo, era la taza más pequeña que he visto en mi vida) costaba una libra más. En conclusión no recomendado para nadie, no entres ahí, fue una estafa total.

Ivy is definitely one of our favorite British restaurants in UK, totally changed the way I thought about British food, in a fantastic way. The food is simply amazing, and window seats have great view of the castle.

All staff are amazing, great customer service with a smile. The beef Sunday roast was perfectly cooked with beef exactly how we like it. Huge thank you for my mum’s birthday treat at the end, it added that special touch to our visit ❤️
