Masters in Windsor and Maidenhead

This looked amazing but it’s closed until further notice and it doesn’t say something on their website about this.

UPDATED: Second visit was great - everything was spotless, great job guys! So changed for 5 stars! The inside place was really hot, they told us to sit next to the vent to get some cool, but still barely stayed inside. I was there a couple of weeks ago for Sunday lunch, to eat something and grab a beer. I found a picture of bottles of beer, so we went there. But Waitress told us, this beer is only for decorative purposes. So I order one of the beers from the list, asking which one is from the tap, but instead, I got bottled, warm (not from the chill) beer (remember the part when I say it was hot). The food was great. Service was good, even the lady who worked there looks like it was her one of the first days, but this is something we can understand. She was nice and polite, we can understand the stress of a new job. But little disappointed about beers, because I’m a fan of beers from around the world (and want to try Modelo or Pacifico. I will try someday, hoping this issue will be fixed.

Fun evening with friends trying to play darts the walls and floor took a beating!

Good darts games, though the actual darts you throw were cheap and made it difficult to play. The other gripe was that the place really smelled of cooking oil. Not sure if they have decent extractors in the kitche, but because it’s semi-open to the restaurant, the fryers carry a bad smell. Not pleasant.

I m shocked they have a good rating on here. The food is soooo bad they have a hygiene rating of 2 😱. So glad I survived. The atmosphere is non existent. Really bad place. Hopefully they look at their business and realise the glaring issues they have.

4 stars for the sheer madness of the place. Inept staff at the bar who have very little knowledge of drinks and the food is straight out of Iceland or somewhere similar. What is this place meant to be? We returned to finish off a game of darts.

Very nice restaurant. A real little gem of a place. Well worth a vist . Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was excellent . Nice to find a place sonrelaxed and enjoyed our time. Will definitely be returning again.

This place is so great. The guys that own this joint are so friendly and humble and the food was absolutely amazing. Both the western and Sri lankan meals were 10 on 10. The atmosphere would be a 10 if more people went. Would love to have a place like this in my town. The darts worked really well and the music was just right.

Went for food with a friend, we tried the Sri Lankan food they served, it's very tasty and highly recommended. Staff are very polite, nice place to play darts. All round a very nice place.

Visited some time back when it first opened and thought it was such a great idea, relaxed venue for families, friends, couples. Took our nephew who was visiting over the weekend and we had a great time playing darts Didn’t eat there but will definitely try the food next time - varied menu and pricing not too bad Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly which always adds to a good experience Nowhere like this around so hopefully this will be a great success We shall be back :)

The Sri Lankan food was amazing. They have a separate menu for it, you can ask the waitress for it. The service was very nice. We would recommend it. We are definitely coming back.

Went for dinner with five people, good tasting food for a great price. Grilled chicken breast very tasty. Halloumi burgers were nice too. Good selection of drinks. Nice atmosphere, can recommend

This place has great potential but is let down a little by some of the finer details. The staff whilst friendly and helpful did seem a little inexperienced. We played darts which was fun but it was let down somewhat by the very light darts that were supplied. Music was good but again also let down because they seemed to be using a free Spotify account with ads.. Not really what you'd expect in a bar. Food was nice though. More games would also be good.

This place has some good options to eat, play and have fun 🤩. You can play board games, darts 🎯, card games and also get some starters and nibbles to eat. Colourful ambience and a relaxed place to spend the evening. The food options are good 😊

Love the quick service Great food Cozy and warm ambience. The place has a bar with the best bartender. , (Try the gin gin mule). Is equipped with 2 dart lanes 🎯.

Really nice to have a different evening activity to do in Maidenhead. A great addition to the town. Food was lovely and service great.

My friend and I popped in for lunch. Good selection of food ,made freshly and very tasty. Reasonable price. Place inside looks really pretty and good vibe . Waiter was very polite. We definitely recommend it and will come again.

Good darts, but much awkwardness. No people, late food, late drinks - in an empty bar. I’m writing this review under duress too. No bill until I’ve reviewed. But the darts were good.

Service was good, had vegan options on the menu. There are lots of Darts game options (don’t have to know how to play.) very good value for money. Very friendly staff. Definitely good for date night or works night out.

Popped in on a whim one evening. A real hidden gem. Staff lovely, personable, and attentive. Nice range of drinks. Didn't eat on this occasion, but there is an interesting menu available. Darts were a lot of fun! There is a games room inside equipped with Nintendo Switches and computers. All in all, highly recommend. Thanks, Masters, for your wonderful hospitality.

Great concept with tons of potential! The food we ordered (Sharing Platter) was both good value and tasty. The darts game was fun albeit the scoring system seemed to malfunction a lot. HOWEVER the main issue with this venue is the unbearably hot temperature despite multiple AC units seemingly doing nothing.

We spotted the place when we were on a long walk. Its lovely inside. We weren't interested in the darts or gaming but went for a drink and a meal. They had a massive fan by the bar area and a smaller one in another area. It was 19 degrees outside but inside was a ridiculous temperature. We sat near one of the fans for a few minutes and then sat at a table outside but decided not to stay for dinner. 3 young guys sat outside with us and said they booked a darts game for 7pm but didn't think they would stay afterwards for food because of the heat. Such a shame as the food on the website looks lovely but unfortunately if they don't get aircon then they will loose business.

Chicken wings and apple slaw were great! Staff were top drawer. Such a nice spot but suffering from the heat inside. They have these small AC units but they barely do anything and doesn’t seem like there is much opportunity to open windows. Maybe one for the winter 🥵 Seriously though, food and staff 👍

This place has so much potential! Great location and they’ve clearly spent a lot of money on doing up the interior. People running it are friendly but inexperienced. They whole thing just needs some love! Points to improve - I don’t know why but it’s so so hot in this place. The restaurant itself is big but there’s no air coming in from outside and there isn’t any built in AC into the walls - The gaming room is brilliant but again with all the electrics it’s so hot and actually quite unsafe for children to play for so long in the heat in there! Great amount of games and screens and comfy chairs. - excellent menu and food was tasty but they need a proper chef in there. It’s understaffed and needs a better process. Food takes a very very long time to come out and it doesn’t come at the same time. - needs more people through the food - but actually even if we weren’t the only ones in there - they wouldn’t have been able to cope. I hope to visit in a year and hope they would have sorted themselves out by then.

Terrible experience. Had a confirmation booking for dinner and booked a game room however, but they did not have us on their system for food. The place was absolutely hot, and we’re waiting around to be seen for about 10 minutes. The place and atmosphere felt very uncomfortable. When we tried to get a refund on our game booking, they would not transfer the money back on to our card. Apparently they can accept card payments but cannot refund from them… Would not recommend!

Played darts for 1 hour and the staff were very good.

Food and the service is good. Good vegetarian options. Something is not right about the location and building…they’ve tried to make it up with some good interior design…but when you go down towards the toilet behind the bar, you feel like you’re in a garage… perhaps more appealing for gamers. Neon lights and stuff. If you do go, sit towards the entrance for a better experience. Dart boards look modern with digital scoreboards and all but we didn’t try…we were hungry so went straight to order and food didn’t disappoint. Have to try the srilankan street food next.

This is such a cool place, we had a range in ages of children and they all loved it (1, 3, 12 and 13 year olds) Food was great, staff were really friendly, really reasonable prices and cool decor!

The street food of Sri Lanka was really delicious, Kothu is the most favourite street from Srilanka and South India becoming famous in the UK, I would strongly recommend to try Kothu @ Masters.

Awesome little place, great to have somewhere different in Maidenhead that works for families as well as adults. Our boys liked the look of the gaming room too so we'll need to come back again soon.

The place stank of cooking oil ( fried food) arrived at Around 17:30 on a Saturday , we were greeted by a very miserable bouncer type person, I thought he was the concierge, but I think a bouncer ( 18:00) We felt very uncomfortable and promptly left My advice do not go here

Disappointing first experience, darts were really expensive. However we did get a good free demo but it wasn't worth continuing with , due to the price. The drinks were poor wirh the lager and neckoil both very dead. We drank half each before we complained to the lone barman, he eventually spoke to his manger and we got some money back. Butbthings will need to improve before we visit again

Friendly, knowledgable staff, especially about wine, and lovely decor. Considering it was a quiet Sunday we had good wine and good food. We’re local and keen to try more dishes other than just the platter. Only downside was that it was a bit chilly in there!

Went in to Masters (Maidenhead) last evening for a coffee after a walk with the husband and kids and ended up staying in for dinner! Great service, lovely place and good food/price ratio. Thought about not sharing as the hidden gem of this place is the gaming room! We want this place for ourselves lol! The kids were happily entertained for the evening while we had our meal and chatted. They came in for food and back off to the gaming room (after washing their hands :) ) Lovely kids friendly spot in Maids.

Went with a group of mates, 5 of us, and it was very last minute, the guys treated us so well! Really enjoyed the darts and the drinks! Didn't realise they had a games room too! Such an awesome idea, we will be coming back!!

This is a great place for an evening out, the service is brilliant and a cracking atmosphere , and made to feel welcome and the host Vithesh. Would recommend if you’re in the Maidenhead area and fancy a night out with a bit more interaction and some competitive fun.

For an evening hangout, or for having coffee after work, or having fun with friends , Try this place! Its nice, cozy and you will enjoy your time! I wish Phoebe was playing guitar there too 😂

I hired Masters for a private function for 40 staff and from start to finish Vithesh and the team were so helpful and attentive answering all my many questions promptly and with patience. The venue is beautifully styled and the youngsters at our company went Instagram happy with all the lovely areas. People had fun playing darts and the combination of sharing platters and free-flowing drinks was the perfect way to spend some time together as a group. Would recommend and definitely return.

Darts of the future... Loads of different games to play, all the scores kept for you... You just need to bring your arrow throwing skills to the oche. Whilst you play you can have a delicious beer at the bar and order food too. Food was delicious and delivered fresh and hot. Great night out, and not too expensive either. Just a little difficult to find, it just Round the corner over looking the river.

We had our staff party here and had an amazing time. Delicious food (texan pulled beef burger is a must try), fun time playing darts and the team was so friendly and welcoming. I loved how they had a huge variety of good wine in a separate section, then the darts section, 2 different sections for dining and also a huge game room with a lot of computer, a good bar and a coffee/pastry section as well. So many things incorporated in this one place so there is everything for everyone. Thank you once again for being so kind and patient with a group of 17 people.

Had a fun night with my friends playing eating and enjoying ourselves, great place to visit and enjoy.

£15 corkage on a £19 bottle of wine that they were selling inside!! Alternatively, they offered us a bottle of house wine which was £28 if I remember correctly... We politely declined. Safe to say we didn't buy anything. The darts board didn't work either...lost out on an evening of business from a party of 7. We went elsewhere in town. Very disappointed.

Came over for work lunch with colleagues. Had a really tasty chicken burger, the flavour was so good! The place is quaint and has an interesting atmosphere. There is a few things inside: a cocktail bar, a restaurant area and also a games room and electronic darts! We had fun overall and food and drinks were good.

Excellent food quality and drinks. I visited few times with family.very good place for kid's entertainment. In addition to all it's a budget friendly restaurant in madeinhead. 😊 . Thank you guys.

They have only been open 2 weeks so I'm sure things will improve. Top of the list is service - do you allow dogs? They weren't sure so we were allowed in. Sat for ages without any kind of service then asked to return to our table when I went up to order, then the waiter took ages to find a pen that worked. I hope they sort all the niggles out because I love the concept
