Having previously eaten here about a year ago I was really looking forward to going back as we had a great visit but sadly this time I have a mixed review and probably wont return for now. My husband and I came for lunch, we were served by a lovely young gentleman called Alfie who was very polite and very helpful. We were seated and had our starter, we had the sharer and it was really nice. We were seated near the cooking/serving station, and whoever was there seemed very impatient, they have a bell they ring to tell the wait staff orders are ready, the person behind the station was constantly ringing the bell, and knocking on the glass the two young lads working hadn't stopped and were in and out between the bar and garden with trays of drink, not to mention how unpleasant it was for us sitting so close trying to enjoy a quiet meal. When our mains came, unfortunatley the lasagne was over done and very dry. I couldn't find a member of staff nor did anyone come to our table to ask if everything was OK. Eventually a man came over to clear our plates, when we were asked I explained about the lasange, he told us he was the manager and asked if anyone asked if the meal was OK, to which I told him no, he agreed the food was over done and just apologised and cleared our plates. When paying the bill I was asked again if everything was OK with our meal, to which I again stated the food was over done, she's just said "on no that's a shame" I could have argued, I could have refused to pay for the meal but I am not that type of customer but It was a Shame that the manager himself did not offer to take it off the bill, as most would. The young lads serving were lovely, my food was nice and we enjoyed the starter, so it's a real shame that the noisy environment with the constant bell ringing and window knocking and poor customer service ruined our experience, especially when you've spent just short of £100.

The most amazing meal in a friendly pub. Mia behind the bar is so welcoming and nothing is to much trouble for Giovani would highly recommend this for real home cooked food that if you want an adjustment on the menu is catered for wherever possible.

Lovely, welcoming place, but service wasn't good and food was variable. We had to wait for 10 mins for our order to be taken. The service was good with the starters and the mains. Then trying to attract someone to take an order for desserts was impossible. After 40 mins, we gave up trying to attract any waiting staff and paid for the meal at the bar. We would have ordered more drinks and desserts, but were ignored. The food was ok. I ordered the 'special' which was clams in spaghetti. The clams were small and tasteless (tasted like they had been previously frozen). It's a shame as it could be a lovely place to re-visit.

Edible but thats it! It was almost as if their was no chef so someone tried to cook rather than admit there's no chef. Service took a while, food was ok but didn't seem fresh and the pizza bread was very doughey.

A disappointing evening, service was slow. Not up to their usual standards. The chicken and mushroom tagliatelle, the fresh pasta was undercooked. The meatballs were cold while the spaghetti and sauce was hot.

We hosted our Meet and Greet event prior to our wedding day in September 2023. Giovani and the whole team at The Boot went above and beyond. All our guests commented on the great service and fantastic quality of the food. Our guests were made to feel as if they were locals. The warm and friendly feel of the pub was clear to all. We had a great time, the outdoor area that we used was decorated without even asking with baloons and colours. The pub team absolutely made our day, and we will forever be grateful for hosting our friends and family, and setting us up to have a great wedding the following day.

Exceptional service from start to finish. We were welcomed straightaway and taken to our table. Quick service, beautiful food. Despite being a large venue, it retained that traditional intimacy. We will deffo be back! Thank you

Visited on Saturday evening for a family. We were welcomed by who I think was the owner. He came across very friendly as did all of the staff. The food we had was all excellent as was the service. The food came out very quickly too. I would give 5 stars definitely but due to the following reasons I have given it a 4 star. When entering the building there was a sign saying card payment only. This was frustrating as I had brought cash with me to pay. When looking at the website before booking I did not see this anywhere on the website. When booking by phone I was not told about this either. I’m a strong believer that people should be able to pay how they like and see convenient. I would have probably used this place regularly (this was my first visit) but I believe I should be able to pay how I like. It was a very good experience all around apart from the points mentioned.

Enjoyable birthday meal for my daughter and her friends. They all enjoyed their pizzas, as did the adults enjoy their meals too. Tiramisu lovely as always. Thank you to Giovanni, Gianluca and the Boot team.

We returned to The Boot again this New Year's Eve as last year was a blast! This year did not disappoint - live music, great food, friendly and efficient hospitality, dancing, party atmosphere and the best way to start The New Year.

Lovely pizza and pasta, service with a smile too! The pizza is always very fresh and uses tasty ingredients, some of the best around in my opinion.

Firstly i find the owner/ manager just plane rude. me and my friend visited on a sunday afternoon and was served by a young women who told us when sitting down to not ask a certain worker for anything as he’s useless?! but we waited 25-30 minutes to even have our order taken by her?!? no check up when food arrived and had to chase to get out order taken and to revive/ pay for our bill. How ever, the so called ‘useless’ waiter was actually so lovely snd attentive when he could see us looking around and explained to us that he wasn’t the best at speaking english and constantly apologised when we spoke to him and was extremely sweet and polite. i worked in hospitality for years and i understand the stress it brings but maybe some extra training for staff is needed

My go to pub in Bracknell! Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff who are always happy to help. Food is delicious and always cooked to a high standard. The Boot is perfect for a meal with the family or some drinks with friends. If you visit on a weekend make sure you book as they are always busy! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

The service in the boot is always brilliant and with typical Italian hospitality. Had a mixture of things from garlic bread, pasta and the lamb main. All wonderfully cooked and fresh. We’ll certainly be back especially being dog friendly too!

Hadn't been in a while due to lockdown but we'd been before, it's safe to say heading back now after all that time, it's just a great now as it was then, highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely, filling meal!As far as I could tell everything was all safe with covid measures too, temp check, name and number, hand sanitiser etc, so nothing to worry about there!Oh and be sure to make the trip when lockdown is over fully to maybe catch the owner having a singing session.

It’s been a year since we were able to sample the full delights of this gastro pub. Had the Duck E Sweet Sauce and was just as good as I remember if not better.They have a great and friendly staff there and if you’re lucky the owner may sing for you!Also ask about the amaretto cake.

I ordered a couple of meals last Saturday Meat ball linguine & Seafood linguine collected on time carried the four boxes in the bag provided got home and the sources had all run out of the boxes into the bag, in doing so made the meals very dull indeed.For the sake of using a bigger bag and a bit of common sense this could have been avoided & hope it is rectified so no one else has the same problem.

Sept 2020 - meal out with friends. Temperature taken on arrival. Spaced out tables. Nice, prompt service. Super choice of Italian dishes. We had the meatballs and a sausage dish. Good portions, nice wine with it.There are seating booths outside. Not sure if I would want to do that in winter.It's not a pizza restaurant but there are pizzas on offer.It's not a British restaurant but there are dishes on offer.Overall, a very pleasant and safe environment.Highly recommend.

had a relaxed & tasty meal at The Boot. we are local to the pub but previous owners had put us of going again but we were really surprised. The food was delicious and pipping hot and good value. The service was a bit slow as we had to ask after 30mins for our order to be taken but this didn't ruin our evening. would really recommend and will be going back again soon

My partner and I booked in earlier tonight as we had always wanted to try this place after walking past it a couple of times.Upon arrival we where greeted by a very friendly member of the bar staff and had our temperatures checked promptly. We sat in a very warm and intimate area of the dining room that was well lit and had perfect decor that complimented the Italian theme.Staff had suitable PPE and made us feel very comfortable as service was of an exceptional level. The food came out very fast and was incredibly tasty, fresh and packed full of flavour. My partners pizza looked wholesome and authentic and I was even lucky to try a slice myself! I ordered the fillet steak with brandy and peppercorn sauce, one word HEAVENLY! The meat was so fresh, tender and soft that you could have eaten it with a table spoon! The desserts again where so tasty! I had the brulee and my partner enjoyed the chocolate fudge cake! The place was incredibly clean too which is always refreshing to see especially with how times are right now! In conclusion the staff where fantastic, the food was excellent, hearty, fresh Italian cuisine and the facilities where very clean and well kept.Cannot praise the place enough for such a lovely evening and we will definitely be returning soon.

Obviously with the recent covid19 outbreak it was reassuring that your temperature was taken on arrival, staff were wearing masks and tables distanced. Even throughout the meal when tables left, staff cleaned them thoroughly immediately. Felt very comfortable eating here.Food was beautiful and good portion sizes! Staff were friendly and attentive. Decor was nice and has a big outdoor area. Good experience, would go back and recommend.

Went for a lunch and wine, on first thoughts it didn’t appear that authentic as you enter a regular pub but we sat outside in the back courtyard in the sun. The food was tasty, well presented and pasta beautifully made. The seasoning was spot on and the dish did not need anything extra. The staff were attentive, polite and friendly, we met the owner and his Son which added to the experience. My small critique would be; to refine the dining area ie; no wobbley tables, perhaps clothed, a choice of really good quality Italian wines. I hope you do well here, we will be back!!!!

Always, always enjoy the food here, lovely staff and efficient service. As everyone is super sensitive during the COVID outbreak, it was reassuring to see that temperatures were checked on arrival, and lots of PPE visible on staff. However I think they missed a trick ... S&P mills are routinely handled by customers and taken on and off tables to a central storage point between uses but don’t appear to be sanitised routinely. It would be easy to use disinfectant wet wipes on them after each use. A big surprise was seeing a dog being circulated around the restaurant by a staff member to say hello to customers accessing a route via the side of bar toward the kitchen which seemed somewhat inappropriate.

Ordered a take away tonight given the current situation with regards to restaurants and COVID-19. Blown away by how good the pizza and pasta is! Best in Bracknell by a country mile! Can’t wait to visit and experience the actual restaurant.

What a great experience had by all ...the service, atmosphere and value was outstanding and now the food ...it was amazing I had the sea bass ,it was absolutely delicious, very fresh and well cooked .the whole evening from start to finish was superb .thank you to all the staff for a wonderful evening.
