Coffee is always wonderful, staff are polite chatty and full of smiles. It was a well needed morning coffee and you can’t go wrong here. Local community hub.

Great place to meet up with a friend. Now they do breakfasts, I'll try it out next time.

We regularly visit Coffee Barker on different days of the week and usually experience good customer service. However, we have noticed that if we visit on a Tuesday or Thursday we are asked to leave very early, on one occasion it was 1 hr & 40 mins before they were due to close. If we attend on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday we get excellent customer service and are never asked to leave early. As you can appreciate closing early is an inconvenience as we arrange for transport home and being asked to leave early sometimes leaves us out in the cold and waiting for transport for a long period of time.

Could easily be a 5 star review as the building/decor/furnishing is pleasant. Dog friendly, and generally enough room to keep them out of the way. The large coffee was indeed large (often feel ripped off by independents), but ... it wasn't hot. By the time I got half way, it was not warm enough at all. Had a sausage and egg sarnie, nice quality sausage and bread, but a small egg that sat neatly on a single side of sandwich that was cut in half. If you could order from the table, it might be better having two standard sized coffee's while waiting for er' to finish shopping, but you have to go to the till. When I went, the staff were huddled around the coffee machine, and I had to interrupt them to ask where I ordered from 😞 I found the choice of music unpleasant. It was 'nightclub'. I don't actually mind the music in the right setting, but it was Sunday morning.

Lovely, relaxed atmosphere, service is excellent, as is the food. Portions are generous & varied, plenty of armchair seating, plus high stools if required. I thoroughly recommend a visit if you're visiting, or even if Bracknell's your home.

It is the best spot for outing with friends and family. Love the ambience of the cafe. The staff greets with smile everytime whenever I visited there. Their way of welcoming the customers is awesome. Quick service and well managed staff. I am completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service.

I went two to three times last month and had great care by asian staff.so kind nature and soft hearted people work there and over the moon is coffee’s even my friend appreciate too.if talking about food pancake we order early morning even they start ten but they give us before time.

Coffee Barker is a great meeting place to catch up with friends and colleagues. It offers a fab service and has a wonderful ambience. The seating arrangement means you are not crowded or sitting on top of each other, giving you ample space and privacy. In my opinion, the food prices are a little steep in comparison to similar vendors.

Excellent chilled out vibes, comfy seats and a warm atmosphere, coffee and service always good, there 3 to 4 times a week friends and family, good loyalty scheme and do gluten free cakes

Prices are very high and very average food. My panini was burnt on the bottom which at nearly £10 is not good. Coffee is better in other Bracknell cafes.

Management does not keep hours up to date online, and they always keep weird hours as well. Just go to a place with dependable hours

Can get very busy the staff are friendly it would be very helpful though to put a sign in place stating you don't take cash payments before ordering as I only had cash on me and only found out about digital payment only on ordering.

I had an epiphany today. This place isn’t just about great coffee & amazing cakes/bakes. It’s a Hub, a community, sitting here watching people take a break from the cold and seasonal shopping, meeting friends & loved ones, it’s heart warming. And today with our high streets now dominated by faceless chains selling plastic covered sandwiches with the only difference between them is the logo on their takeaway cup. We live in a cynical intolerant world but here there’s no religion or politics it just offers great Coffee, warmth, comfort, employment, a real sense of community & coffee Barker i personally thank you. I think every town needs a place like this.

The worst pancakes I have ever had. Service is non existent. It’s such a shame to have watched this place go downhill in the past few years. We used to eat and drink here often when shopping in Bracknell. Sadly I will be very surprised if it is still open in 6 months unless the owners have money to throw lose:(

Coffee is good and the milkshakes are tasty but since Bill's closed, this place should be rammed in the mornings. But it isn't. Why has the old breakfast menu gone? Even simple sausage or bacon rolls would increase the footfall. Instead they charge £10 for a panini! Update; so it looks like Cafe Barker read my review and now have breakfast Fri, Sat,Sun mornings. However £8.50 for a Bacon or Sausage roll does not convince me to return, when M&S is half the price and better....

Let's face it, Bracknell is the most soulless place in the country. Anything that provides a modicum of individuality can't be bad. And the coffee was good.

Best coffee shop in Bracknell (with a lot of competition within a minutes' walk). Delicious coffee - especially their decaff - almost indistinguishable from the regular blend. Staff are very friendly and efficient. But best of all is the ambience and comfy seating.

I have been a regular at Coffee Barker for several years and I can honestly say they serve the best coffee in town. The service is always welcoming and smiley and they remember my name and my regular order. I worked in hospitality for 43 years so I understand great service and a great venue. It means that I also know how hard it is to get great service right, especially when staff are at the lower end of the pay scale. The place is always spotlessly clean and the music-choice is diverse and interesting. I have two pieces of Cherry Bakewell Slice and a Flat White coffee and the cake is delicious - soft, moist and packed with cherry filling with plenty of almonds on the top. The coffee is delicious and is a properly made flat white, unlike a few places in town. The seating is luxurious leather chairs and sofas and is so comfortable that I find it hard to leave! Please ignore the recent negative reviews - they so obviously have some kind of agenda and I simply do not recognise the staff they are describing, (Lisa, 'the blonde one' is a lovely, friendly lady who is always smiling and always attentive and kind. Do yourself a favour and visit Coffee Barker if you're in town. It's simply the best.

Not serving breakfast anymore and the lunch menu is panini or pancakes. Disappointing so didn't stay.

Terrible service. This place used to be great but I think management may have changed as now the service is awful, staff are rude and blunt and keep getting orders wrong. Make you feel pressured to drink your coffee fast by telling you they are closing soon, makes you feel unwanted, won't be returning.

The service here has plummeted. I've been a regular at coffee barker for years and always loved it but in the past few months the service has become terrible, staff are rude and have gotten my order wrong the last 3 times, don't seem to understand the simplest request, for example asking for skimmed milk?! Also do not appreciate that they now come round to the tables giving you dirty looks and telling you they are closing soon (although the online closing times says much later?). It makes you feel rushed and unwelcome like you are an inconvenience not a paying customer. Such a shame as it's a lovely location and interior but unless something drastically changes with the customer service I will not be returning. I hope management acknowledge this as looking at recent reviews and other customers faces today,many people will be avoiding this place from now on.

Used to be a really nice quirky place but now it’s an absolute dive. Tables dirty despite the place being fully staffed. Food slow and wrong orders coming out. Ordered a coffee to take away and it took 25 minutes was less than luke warm and was absolutely swimming in caramel syrup 👎🏻 my friends food was wrong and we couldn’t wait a further 30/40 minutes for another panini so opted for a refund. Blonde lady who looked like she was assistant manager was being degrading to the staff in front of customers was very clear that little or no training had been provided to new starters and was actually hard to watch. Poor service, poor quality of staff and filthy premises. Don’t recommend save your money and go to Costa round the corner.

Good atmosphere and quick service

Popped in for a coffee while out shopping with my sister-in-law. We ordered two coffee's. When they were bought to our table they were lifted off of the tray with the waitresses thumbs resting on the rim of the cup's. Her other fingers were carrying the saucer underneath! We asked her to remover her thumbs as it was not acceptable. But I don't think she understood. Needless to say we will not be returning...

I really really like the place, it's cosy with an amazing atmosphere and the coffee is good and the staff and service is really good. I love going there! I was a bit sad they removed the brunch options from the menu, but its understandable as its not really a restaurant, but it was good, the remaining options are ok they are tasty and are a standard coffee shop options. The only negative I felt was the new virtual system to leave a tip, I just feels very pressuring with the % and it is something that I felt stuck in the US but seems its here in the UK now.

Had pancakes, never quite hot enough. Will remind them next time!

It's such a nice place with lovely seating and cosy corners but the coffee is abysmal. I had a flat white and it was so weak, I couldn't actually taste any coffee in it!

Alright, they don't take cash,card only,probably won't go back,Costa instead

Really lovely ambiance inside. I could spend all day in here. I feel at home. Very friendly staff whoever serves. Lovely food and drinks as well. Will recommend highly.

It's probably the best setting for a coffee and a chat with friends but it's lacking something. They have made it look really nice and welcoming, but I don't like having to select your table first before ordering. On a busy day, you are forced to find a table and if alone, leave your things unattended in an attempt to reserver the table. Then queue up and potentially wait 10 mins worrying about your belongings. The coffee is alright. the snack/cakes are alright. The breakfasts are terrific. Toliets are clean. The place always smells of fried food.

Coffee Barker used to be good in the past but not anymore..I can see less and less people there and I understand why! I speak of an incident i witnessed this morning in which I felt really bad for the poor workers who where being shouted and spoken to diagustingly by management. No good manager belittles other humans in that way and especially infront of customers! I confronted her about it and she claimed she didn't know I was in the shop when she shouted on them and that she is hard of hearing in one ear. If the shop door is opened to the public won't you anticipate that customers maybe be seated there and check first before screaming at staff? She then went inside the kitchen and continued to scream and speak to them in a BELITTLING manner as I could hear her from where I was seated. It's one thing to correct staff but its another thing to belittle people. Thats not the way to speak to people nor the way get a job done. To that "manager" whoever you are, may I remind you that before a manger you that you are firstly human, so dont forget to treat others the way you would like to be treated. Goodluck with the coffee shop but I won't be coming there again because I won't patronise that kind of behaviour.

Great coffee and large selection of herbal teas, welcoming staff team, comfy seats - large place, lots of choice of different leather chairs, sofas and bar stools. Pancakes were nicely cooked and just the right amount of cinnamon and maple syrup, music at just the right ambient level so as not to intrude on conversation. Simply... Just great

We've given this place a go three times and each time something we wish to order is missing. I also noticed panini's for £9.99 on the lunch menu, this has to be a joke right? There are plenty of options for coffees, cakes and food in Bracknell these days meaning you can swerve this place

Came in at 08:40, place was empty and was told by female staff to take a seat and she will be over. Almost 15 minutes went by before we got fed up and left. Looks very overpriced for what is on offer but perhaps that is normal for Cardiff

Customer service not good, didnt know how to make what was on the menu and other customers waiting over 15mins for a glass of wine. So I didnt stay.

Good coffee. Great lager on tap (Starpraven) get a seat outside when it's warm and it feels very Mediterranean! Good stop off point for those who get 'told' to come shopping!

Came in for some lunch and a coffee with my Mum over the weekend. I appreciate it was a Saturday so they were very busy. I queued at the till for over 15 minutes, only to be told when I got to the till at 14:02, that the kitchen shut was shut. When I asked why, a member of staff (who was stood with around 4 other menbers of staff in a huddle) was quite rude and just pointed to a small piece of paper on the wall that said 'kitchen shut from 2pm due to staff shortages'. (Even though there were ample empty tables but around 3 members walking around cleaning, plus the multiple behind the till) Very frustrating that I had queued for 15 minutes and only missed the kitchen by 2 minutes, and to be told so rudely. I really like Coffee Barker but was massively let down by their service on Saturday.

What a gem of a cafe, the atmosphere inside is amazing and so cosy. All the seating is so comfy and welcoming. We sat there for hours reading a book and ordering drinks. Fantastic place to relax and spend time with friends also.

Wonderful coffee was nutty and balance taste for latte and cappuccino. Jacket potatoes with beans and cheese is good and rich. Chicken and Chorizo Panini is soft and tasty. Overall environment was comfortable and with friendly service.

Calm oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Can take time out and read. Lots of cosy nooks. Welcome dogs which makes it an absolute go to place for me

Couldn't get breakfast a few weeks back as they stop doing that, tried to order off the other menu but had nothing left or jacket potatoes We're not going to be ready for a while. This week tried for lunch but told they stopped serving lunch at 1.30 then sat there with a coffee but was then made to feel uncomfortable as they closed of the section I was in while I sat there. This used to be one of my favourite places and enjoyed the thick cut loaf breakfast sandwiches. Not sure why it's gone down hill so fast

Nice atmosphere but awful service. Last time I came they managed to charge me twice, lucky I noticed before I left. Sitting here now waiting for a coffe I ordered 25 minutes ago.

Good range of drinks. I've eaten the pancakes here and cake. Hot chocolate with all the extras is good. Comfy, cosy seating in a variety of arrangements. Nice to see tables for one. Seating also available outside. Clean toilet facilities.

We love this place - it has a very warm/inviting feel to it. Once you’re sat down you don’t feel like leaving! I’ve only ever had coffee which has always been great.

Gone right downhill, we were regular customers but no longer. Its gotten gradually worse over the past few months. It was shambolic today, the wrong orders to the wrong tables, when my order arrived it was a latte not a cappuccino, my sons milkshake took a full 20 minutes to arrive and was thrown together in a plastic cup not the usual glass, reusable milk bottle. If I wanted terrible service, wrong orders and single use plastics I'd have gone to McDonald's.

It could be better. The food was cold! You order at the bar. You need to find the menu yourself. I wanted to try something new. It was let down this day. It's not top on my list to return quickly. Overpriced for the poor quality of food. They should put the syrup in a small jug and the cream in a bowl to let customers decide for themselves. Presentation could of been better. Evening menu is much better presented.

Great drinks. Though table service is supposed to be provided, it was so slow I had to request the drinks twice before resorting to going to get them myself. Also doesn't take cash.

Was not impressed - sat down at 2.45pm on a Saturday to be told the kitchen was closed for any food prep .. what nonsense is that !! On a busy Saturday.

We ordered avocado toast and coffee and unfortunately, both were really bad. The breakfast looked like it had been kept in the fridge for a few days until it was served to us, it was tasteless and cold.

Loved the food shame about the service and staff.. waited for a coffee for 30 mins for a hot coffee while my wife had her iced latte and finished our whole meal without my drink.. when I told them I was still waiting no apology! A apology goes a long way. Such a shame! Won’t be returning.

I have used Coffee Barker many times. My husband and I were in there today and we were so very disappointed. Our coffee arrived straight away but after waiting 25 mins for our food I went to check. The assistant was so rude when I mentioned that we thought our panini would come soon after the coffee. She said it wasn't her fault and what did I expect her to do about it, suggesting I write to the owners to complain. There were several young employees there who thought it was funny. Customer service is minus 10. With so many shops closing and a choice of coffee shops in the Lexicon I think Coffee Barker staff should be more respectful to their customers.

Not good enough customer service unfortunately. We were not greeted on arrival, 3 members of staff just chatting with each other at the bar; barely answered when asked how to proceed with ordering. We weren't asked if happy with the food until when plates were collected. I will not go again, although the brunch was tasty. Such shame.

I actually had coffee(cappuccino) today, which i very much enjoyed. Last time I frequented here the coffee was v strong!! They hve changed the strength of the coffee, which is much more tasty to my palette. I've always liked this cosy place. I recommend this place for coffee (not sure abt food).

The most amazing milkshakes. The paninis are also very well priced and amazing quality. Very highly recommend. The inside decor is unique and a very lovely vibe. There is baby changing facilities aswell as a chair in there to nurse your baby. A gem of a place! Very highly recommend

Had a coffee after ordering from Sophie(that wasn't her name but she looked like a sophie should look like) paid using my revolut card and was served an americano with pour in cream. PERFECT. Well done to all the staff and good luck.

Nice place, but the black Americano tastes very weak to me and so not to my personal taste.

Good when you need to great a coffee and let your baby nap. Plenty of seats, quick service and free wifi. Menu is a little limited.
