They sell the same sausage roll and cauliflower pasty that’s on most nt menus now but they were served without salad and they were lukewarm as if they had been microwaved. The same items were purchased at Hardwick Hall last week and were served with a nice salad and were well cooked. Hot dog was tasty but £1 for a very small amount of cold onions felt steep.

Service on the day was very delayed. Stood in a short queue for 30 minutes. Appeared to be issues with managing the till and staff unsure of how to resolve. Toastie and flat white were both delicious and cake selection looked very good.

Food is quite expensive and below the standard of other NT properties. The jacket wedges we had were microwaved into a mush. Panini's were underdone. Queue was 30 mins long in January.

Far to many people picnicking there. People who have actually bought food from the brew house can't get a seat.

Very long, slow moving queue for service. Other NT cafes don't seem to have this problem so persistently. We visited several times over the last 10 years and always had a long queue. It must have been a known problem but doesn't seem to have been addressed in all the refurbishment. Also found a limited choice of special diet options for cakes. There were good options in the adjacent NT shop - can you please stock them in here too.

We visit a lot of National Trust properties and usually get a snack lunch in the tea rooms at the properties. The brewhouse serves most of the regular items and dishes that available in most NT tea rooms. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Service is great, cakes are great, but they could do more with using local produce etc.. I can't believe that they can;t find things locally to sell in this cafe. (Neither can the staff). Does the National Trust have to go all corporate and buy things in bulk that we can get everywhere. Cadburys' hot chocolate? Isn't that American now? I don;t even think that it is made in the UK anymore. Need to try harder.

Fairly reasonable tea room, with limited stock of cakes etc. Can sit inside or outside tables. Would be better if more windows but guess it is limited by the buildings listing.

It's a lovely building but the size is nowhere near big enough to facilitate even 50% of people at lunch even in January. We joined a que that had at least 15 families waiting in front of us and the line didn't go down in the 10 minutes that we waited. Luckily there are some nice country pubs close by which got a coffee on the table in 10 minutes. That aside I'm sure the food would have been lovely but didn't try.

You can be sure of a decent cup of tea in a National Trust property, and here you get an additional pot of hot water. Today they had pork and apple sausage rolls which were quite nice, but not as nice as their walnut cake.

Being a national trust member I recommend after walking around the Vine you will find tucked away a coffee shop which gives good value. There is a outside area for a coffee but if the weather is unkind there is eating area in side. I recommend the cake. If it looks packed inside the rear has a mezzanine area upstairs

This is the usual NT cafe, plenty of room to sit inside but also a nice outside seating area for warm day. I had an enormous baked potato which was good value. However, my main complaint about this (and other NT tea rooms) is the length of the queue to pay. There don't seem to be enough people serving at peak times and/or they are rather slow in getting through the numbers.
