Food and service was fine, though cutlery looked quite unclean and my can of water was bent quite badly😐

Only one till so the queue is fairly slow moving. Had a restricted menu today - assume staff shortages.

Extremely poor value for money. Tiny portions of frittata, tired and meagre salad garnishes. Take a picnic rather than wasting your money.

They sell the same sausage roll and cauliflower pasty that’s on most nt menus now but they were served without salad and they were lukewarm as if they had been microwaved. The same items were purchased at Hardwick Hall last week and were served with a nice salad and were well cooked. Hot dog was tasty but £1 for a very small amount of cold onions felt steep.

Travelled a long way and called in here as it was close to our destination. A couple of options for hot food but one was removed as I was in the queue so I ordered the spiced Cauliflower pasty. I had to wait and then it was delivered to our table. A pasty...on a plate. It was little dry but quite tasty. My friend had a prepacked sandwich and we suspect this caused a little tummy trouble later. There was cake available.

Service on the day was very delayed. Stood in a short queue for 30 minutes. Appeared to be issues with managing the till and staff unsure of how to resolve. Toastie and flat white were both delicious and cake selection looked very good.

Unfortunately the Brewhouse was extremely understaffed on our visit. There was only one young man serving behind the counter making coffees and taking orders and a lady bringing hot food out to the customers. So everything was quite slow and a bit chaotic (queuing seemed to be a bit confused) and it wasn't easy to work out what the food offerings were as the food and menus are scattered around. Having said all that, the lad serving us was very pleasant and apologetic, even though he was run off his feet, and when our food arrived it was delicious. The dining area also suffered from being understaffed - cutlery had not been put out and so on.

Food is quite expensive and below the standard of other NT properties. The jacket wedges we had were microwaved into a mush. Panini's were underdone. Queue was 30 mins long in January.

Far to many people picnicking there. People who have actually bought food from the brew house can't get a seat.

Very long, slow moving queue for service. Other NT cafes don't seem to have this problem so persistently. We visited several times over the last 10 years and always had a long queue. It must have been a known problem but doesn't seem to have been addressed in all the refurbishment. Also found a limited choice of special diet options for cakes. There were good options in the adjacent NT shop - can you please stock them in here too.

We visit a lot of National Trust properties and usually get a snack lunch in the tea rooms at the properties. The brewhouse serves most of the regular items and dishes that available in most NT tea rooms. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Service is great, cakes are great, but they could do more with using local produce etc.. I can't believe that they can;t find things locally to sell in this cafe. (Neither can the staff). Does the National Trust have to go all corporate and buy things in bulk that we can get everywhere. Cadburys' hot chocolate? Isn't that American now? I don;t even think that it is made in the UK anymore. Need to try harder.

Food and drink are always good. Staff are hardworking, friendly and helpful BUT the cramped drink preparation area means that it has ALWAYS taken a minimum of 20 minutes to get coffee. Very irritating.

Fairly reasonable tea room, with limited stock of cakes etc. Can sit inside or outside tables. Would be better if more windows but guess it is limited by the buildings listing.

The service wasn't very good , the staff were unorganized, our jacket potato 's were hard and when we asked for a cream tea they had run out of clotted cream and were not helpful to offer us an alternative.

It's a lovely building but the size is nowhere near big enough to facilitate even 50% of people at lunch even in January. We joined a que that had at least 15 families waiting in front of us and the line didn't go down in the 10 minutes that we waited. Luckily there are some nice country pubs close by which got a coffee on the table in 10 minutes. That aside I'm sure the food would have been lovely but didn't try.

Lunchtime in the sunshine, which was lovely.Limited choices but tasty and well presented sandwiches / jacket potato options we chose were very nice.I felt our visit was let down by one particularly abrupt member of staff, a two star rating perhaps a bit harsh based on one person but she left me with an overriding impression, a bad one .

You can be sure of a decent cup of tea in a National Trust property, and here you get an additional pot of hot water. Today they had pork and apple sausage rolls which were quite nice, but not as nice as their walnut cake.

Being a national trust member I recommend after walking around the Vine you will find tucked away a coffee shop which gives good value. There is a outside area for a coffee but if the weather is unkind there is eating area in side. I recommend the cake. If it looks packed inside the rear has a mezzanine area upstairs

This is the usual NT cafe, plenty of room to sit inside but also a nice outside seating area for warm day. I had an enormous baked potato which was good value. However, my main complaint about this (and other NT tea rooms) is the length of the queue to pay. There don't seem to be enough people serving at peak times and/or they are rather slow in getting through the numbers.

Couldn't use my birthday voucher here, and the guy at the till was indifferent. I asked for hot chocolate and a cookie. I wasn't asked what size I wanted or if I wanted cream. He just dumped it on the tray while avoiding eye contact with me. Also, he wiped a boogie on the cookie. Never coming here again 😡
