We had a fantastic meal during the Escoffier Theme night. Top quality food and well served by Amy who was very courteous and attentive but not intrusive.
Highly recommend!
Firstly. I have had several lunches here all of superb quality at an exceptionally good price.
This visit I had a burger and chips which was amongst the best available in Basingstoke at a very competitive price, it couldn't have been improved on, see the photos.
Secondly, the fact that this is a wonderful charity for training individuals with learning disabilities. Most of the staff are in training, gaining priceless skills and confidence, though this is barely noticeable, indeed some customers I got chatting to were completely unaware of the ethos behind the cafe.
In summary amazing food, great service and by visiting you will be supporting an amazing charity.
It is a lovely social cafe, providing, food, a meeting place, and training.
On top of all this It is also. Dog friendly.

Disgusting. Worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Lamb tikka stands out as the absolute worst- three small tiny pieces of cold meat covered in an awful cold thick paste. Awful. Avoid!
I've been going regularly to this pop-up stall for the last 5+ years. It is one of my favourite places in Basingstoke to grab something to eat...it's just a shame it is only around on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I would probably go here far more often if was open all week. Highly recommended if you catch them in town. This is definitely THE place for Thai food in Basingstoke...I haven't seen anything this good since Kwai 2 closed down in Lychpit.
It is authentic Thai food with great variety of choice. I will usually buy some Moo Ping (pork skewers), chicken satay or fish cakes if I am after a bite of lunch; I buy the Chicken Massaman if I want to buy something for dinner. The aromatic and natural flavours are definitely different (in a good way) from the Asian "chain" eateries in Festival Place. It's as authentic as it gets.
The servings are very generous and prices represent value for money...they could put the prices up a bit and it would still be decent. They only take cash so you need to come prepared...the only cash I have around in my room is literally just a fund for this place.
The only downside is that there is often a 5-10 minute wait to be served as they are very busy. I think this is a combination of them being very popular but also service being relatively slow. I have sometimes baulked at the queue and regrettably had to eat somewhere else due to time constraints.
First time dining here and the food was delicious. Dahl was nice but a little bland and could of been more spicy. Thought the poppadoms were a little pricey and the rice portions were quite small. Chicken and lamb dish was tasty. Trio of desserts was scrumptious and my favourite was the tiramisu. Would return and recommend this restaurant.
We visited as our halfway stop in both directions between kent and Devon and what a cracking find it was!
Set in beautiful park perfect for letting us and the dog stretch our legs before sitting down to enjoy some lovely lunch and hot drinks. The staff are absolutely lovely and remembered us from our first stop. Very dog friendly and brought our dog some water. Clearly a family run, communi5u spirited venture.
Lovely seating outside perfect for a summers day. Highly recommend.
If you're looking for a great start to the day you can't beat MrG's full English, awesome. All the produce is really fresh and high quality, really great tasting sausages and bacon.
Today I tried the opened steamed bun braised shitake mushroom and beancurd, which was amazing! I've never had vietnamese food from anyone else so I can't compare it but its delicious and I highly recommend trying it.
Lovely cafe in the centre of the village. Great cappochino and lovely homemade cakes. Owner was friendly & obliging as we went there just before closing time.
Food served here is a must try for all. Could not recommend more, reasonably priced during the week and very well priced on Sunday for the roasts for the amount of food you get.
Friendly staff and good atmosphere EE when busy
Welcoming, attentive and friendly service - with honest good food.
It’s clean and comfy and a nice little cosy cafe.
Food was excellent as was the coffee.
What a great little cafe and shop of curiosities.
Definitely recommend to any and all.
Good job!!
