The best restaurants serving Indian food in Basingstoke and Deane South East

First time dining here and the food was delicious. Dahl was nice but a little bland and could of been more spicy. Thought the poppadoms were a little pricey and the rice portions were quite small. Chicken and lamb dish was tasty. Trio of desserts was scrumptious and my favourite was the tiramisu. Would return and recommend this restaurant.

This is some of the best, not to mention most authentic, South Indian food I have ever tasted in the UK. I arrived here by chance having walked a mile or so in the rain to find the Balti house I had intended to eat at was closed. Initially I was sceptical but I needn't have been, whilst the food might not be your typical "curry house" fayre (which is what I was hankering after) it was very hot, very fresh and the flavours were amazing, added to that the place is spotless and the staff are brilliant. I'm only in Basingstoke for a few days but I'm already considering returning for dinner tomorrow night - it was spectacular! Not forgetting a special mention for Srinu and his team who provided excellent service throughout - thank you!

Nice relaxed environment, amazing food and couldn't fault the staff. Highly recommend the lamb sizzler. Generous portion sizes and absolutely delicious.

A fabulous meal, service by Sid was warm, effficient and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. All food freshly cooked, tasty and very enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back if ever in the area. Thank you.

Exemplary. We ordered food to be collected, but during the collection process our car suffered a flat battery. The staff did all they could to help. They suggested we wait within the restaurant whilst we were waiting for the AA and served the takeaway food there. The meal was amazing, and some of the best I've had, rivalling Mem Saab in Nottingham. Thank you again.

This is a restaurant that is more suited for a takeaway. While the food is not bad, the service,and in particular, the attitude of the rude arrogant manager, leaves a lot to be desired.

When we arrived, we were sat by the door, meaning that anytime someone entered or left we got a blast of freezing cold air from outside. That really wasn't pleasant. The internal front door doesn't shut properly either, so this was something that proved a bit of an issue. The food was very tasty with a good selection of dishes. However, there is no mention on the menu of which dishes contain things such as gluten, instead saying to ask your server. Unfortunately, the servers didn't seem to understand the questions being asked of them, so we had to wing-it. The prices are good for the food, but I would only really go for takeaway, and then only once allergens are noted against the dishes on the menu.

I order food from here quite a lot and the more I order it’s become hit and miss. Ok so I ordered dinner for my wife and I and I have got to say I was very disappointed the naan was not fresh but bought by them in a bag as it was very doughy( I no my naans) secondly the curry was just not good, very very disappointing but I think it time I find another Indian sorry Cromwell but you have let me down several times!!!
