Bramley Inn and Spice in Basingstoke and Deane

Superb food - fresh, vibrant and very very good. In my local village pub - this is an oasis of culinary delight in a sea of pub chaos!

It was my sons 10th wedding Anniversary today and we chose the Spice Room at the Bramley Inn to go for supper. We booked a table for 6.30pm and we got there shortly before that. The restaurant is nice and clean and we were met by Ram, a very nice guy, with a nice personality. We have our orders. We were given new small popadums and some really fantastic condiments. The main course was served and it was fantastic. We ended up taking about half home because it was simply too much. The curry content and taste was just right. Ram also gave us a bottle of prosecco on house to celebrate the anniversary. The end bill was very reasonable. We will be going back and I unreservedly recommend this spot for a meal. Thank you Ram

We were slightly dubious at first but thought we’d try something different. The food was excellent and we met the chef afterwards who used to work at a Michelin starred restaurant in London. We had an authentic lamb saag and a prawn jalfrezi -would definitely recommend as a person of Indian heritage myself. Only gave a four out of five due to the decor not matching the Indian vibe.
