Myself & my partner had an amazing meal at the BCot restaurant! Really high quality food in creation, taste & presentation! Having been a student at the catering college 39 years ago it was a great experience seeing what these young chefs are capable of & brought back many fabulous memories (albeit a much different interior) Our waiter Matt, did himself proud, having only just left school & only his 3rd service! Can’t believe I haven’t been more often & hope to in the future & see the confidence & skills of the students develop further!

As always a warm and friendly welcome, this evening was a roast ham, with a tasty cheese potato and onion pie. Bravo Chef Graham, bravo

The best fish and chips I've had for a long time. The food is excellent and the staff very welcoming especially Sam and the lady with her. A lovely place to meet up with friends.

We used to visit this restaurant regularly and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Not any more - there has been a significant deterioration in standards and I would no longer recommend this establishment. We booked a psrty of 8 plus 2 children for 1400 hrs = we had all arrived within 10 minutes of that time. There was only one member of staff serving both drinks and food and several tables were waiting to be served. The service was appaling and we eventually received our starters at 1530 hrs. Our main courses were served at about 1545 hrs. The quality of food was lower that I had anticipated. It was plated (ie. vegetables etc not served separately) and my beef was lukewarm. Some other dishes had a peculiar taste. The one member of staff on duty kept disappearing for protracted periods and, with noone else in the establishment, it took 20 minutes to obtain our bill. I will not be going back! When he was there, the waiter was very pleasant.

We celebrated our 50th Wedding anniversary at the dew Pond recently with our 4 grandchildren aged 6 to 11 and their parents and what a great time we had. We booked the private room as it had a little sitting room where the children could spend time between courses and not disturb other diners. This worked a treat as the restaurant was very busy with another party of 10 in the restaurant and most if not all the other tables occupied. The menu offer 6 choices for each course and we did not have to choose in advance which was a bonus. Keith the owner and chef took the trouble though to check with me in advance that the children would be able to eat off the menu as the youngest can be a bit picky. On arrival we were welcomed by Keith's wife and her team and went out to the terrace for pre dinner drinks and just as we were finishing those and our cheese straws, told our table was ready. Between the 10 of us I think we had worked our way through the whole menu by the time we had finished pud. Each dish was eagerly awaited, arrived beautifully presented and tasted delicious, a treat for both eyes and tummies. Service was impeccable with just the right amount of time between courses. The whole team at the Dew Pond made it an evening to remember so thank you Keith and team. You are worthy of a Michelin star but we are quite pleased you do not have one so we can book a table when we want to visit again without booking 3 months ahead to go on what turned out to be a waiting list, only to be disappointed a week beforehand. That was our family's booking at Le Manoir Quatre Saisons some years ago but the tactless way Raymond Blanc treated me on the telephone still rankles all these years later. Keep doing Keith what you do so well and we will keep coming back.

This was only my second visit to The Parlour Tearoom and it was so lovely. A big thank you goes to Brooke and Anita, they were both extremely kind and helpful to both my friend and I, nothing was too much trouble for them - Thank you to you both. The food was fresh, the Egg Mayo sandwiches were the perfect blend and the Scone I had was delicious, as was the coffee, we will definitely be back again!

On every occasion I have been to Little Roses previously the service is always excellent and the staff are always friendly. A group of us met there for a reunion lunch. We had booked a table in advance and were so pleased when it was decorated with flowers and waiting for our arrival. Everyone in the party was extremely happy with the food we ordered (the coronation chicken sandwiches were delish). We wanted to give it 6*!

My wife and I visited Sands for a Saturday evening meal. Although I didn't mention that it was our 44th wedding anniversary at the time of booking, somehow they knew. (One of life's mysteries!!!)On arrival, we were taken to a most beautifully decorated table in an intimate alcove of the restaurant. There were really "special" flowers placed on the table along with scattered petals and love hearts. We ordered our meal and just sat back and admired the scenery overlooking a beautiful golf course - what a setting. Our starters came out followed later by our main courses and desserts. All of which could only be described as superb and presented beautifully. After our meal, we were brought a bottle of Champagne (courtesy of the house) and 2 glasses with 2 white roses along side to continue our celebration. A real treat from start to finish and totally unexpected.A special mention must go to HANNAH - our waitress for the evening. She is credit to Sands. A really delightful girl who shines at front of house duties. And to Alex (the restaurant Manager) who was obviously behind all the surprises.Thank you to all the staff at Sands and to the Chef for making our evening so memorable.I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a celebration or just for an evening out in beautiful surroundings.
