The Restaurant at BCOT in Basingstoke and Deane

Myself & my partner had an amazing meal at the BCot restaurant! Really high quality food in creation, taste & presentation! Having been a student at the catering college 39 years ago it was a great experience seeing what these young chefs are capable of & brought back many fabulous memories (albeit a much different interior) Our waiter Matt, did himself proud, having only just left school & only his 3rd service! Can’t believe I haven’t been more often & hope to in the future & see the confidence & skills of the students develop further!

Incredible experience. The food was delicious - the pork was so tender and flaky, and the mushroom soup was out of this world. We were served by the fantastic Tatenda - he was extremely polite and attentive throughout. Thanks - we will be back!

Foods was superb, service was excellent. We love all the dishes from amuse voucher to the dessert. We enjoyed the atmosphere and hospitality of each staff. Restaurant was like a Michelin star. A+++

My friend and I meet at BCoT for the Wednesday Express Lunch at least once a month. The food is always excellent with a good variety. I'm dairy intolerant and there is always an alternative available. The service is excellent, there is a warm welcome and a very convivial atmosphere. We love it!

We meet here occasionally so my Mum & her sister can have a catch up and a good meal. We were served by Thomas who was very polite attentive and a great waiter.

This is a very late review...visit too often as its amazing and reviews were limited, so apology to the amazing team on the Japanese Night, I have not forgotten about you. Dre, Harris &Lilliah! Fantastic! The food was amazing as always and we had a visitor from Germany who also wants to come back. The food was devine from start to finish. Fantastic on the eye and delicious on the palette. We had an absolutely amazing meal as part of the level 3 night. There was nothing to fault. Food was delicious and every student had a smile on their face. They don’t seem to get mentioned on here much but a massive shout to the chefs in the kitchen for cooking a brilliant 7 course dinner! Already planning other nights to come back and visit!

Delious food can’t rate higher. I didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised Charlie the floor manager was on top and had a faultless service. Lillah provided us with great service throughout the six courses. It also has to be stated that the head chef should get a mention as the food was well executed

Fantastic service and food again! We had a lovely three course dinner and experience for lunch at Bcot. We were served by Dre who's service was friendly and attentive. The starters were exceptional and the honeycomb pieces in my dessert was amazing. Charlie at the bar was also helpful and polite.

This is our second time at the BCoT restaurant for the French themed night and once again we were not disappointed. The food was exquisite! It was like being in France. We loved every item on the menu, especially the egg and soldat which was just amazing and the astonishing chocolate desert which made me think of one of the most prestigious restaurants in France. The staff and students are so lovely and always happy to help. We can’t wait to return to try the Japanese and the Spanish nights!

Excellent Food for the French Themed Night. Been to BCoT a few times and always love it. It's a great way for students to learn Gastronomy and for us to enjoy fine dining. First time coming to a Themed Night and it was excellent. The food was amazing and the team was friendly and attentive.

For a quiet birthday lunch with my wife,we were greatly impressed with the overall experience , our server Madeline was courteous and knowledgeable about the food ,which was excellent and all served in a relaxed but formal manner .

Whilst the service wasn't what you would get at a professional restaurant, you have to remember that these are teenagers, so as such it was great. Our server was Andreas and he was attentive and friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say could be improved, and it's really minor, is that the servers could tell you what you are getting for the courses that you don't order (amuse bouche, sorbet, petit fours). It would be a nice touch, and very helpful, to know what you are being served rather than it just being given to you. I did ask what flavour the sorbet was but Andreas didn't know. Luckily it was quite easy to figure out that it was raspberry. That was the only thing I can think of that could be improved on in future: just explain the courses we haven't ordered, please. We will definitely be back :)

Booked the Winter Menu for my husbands birthday. I've been before, but he hadn't. He was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and overall experience. It was excellent. Our young waiter Dre was very attentive and made sure we were happy with everything and checked back to make sure we didn't need anything else. Overall a really lovely evening.

Yet again another great time at bcot resteraunt, the food was exquisite, always spot on so tasty, for students that have just started out they are right on top! Love it so much and I would go every week if I could with a very very decent price menu you would be silly to give it a miss! The food is mouthwatering and fresh and you definitely don’t go leaving hungry. I must say our experience was so much more great as we had a young lad called Dre serving us, he really was excellent and made our experience so much better 10/10 very attentive, Dre spoke to us every time he was over it really is a much better experience when you have people talking to you, that little bit extra goes far, Dre you the boss, not to forget Dan the one who runs the joint you really do work so hard to get your students were they are and I think you have a good team going, now I’m rambeling but the credit is due to everyone Thankyou for making a great experience for us!! 😁

Another amazing experience at Basingstoke’s hidden gem of a restaurant! Our waiter DRE was so attentive, he even offered us some additional amuse bouche’s while we waited for our mains! The restaurant has most definitely become more popular since we last came in October 2023! I would recommend checking out the restaurant if you are local or even passing through ! We will be back in 2 weeks time for the spring menu ! I can not wait ! The general manager Dan greeted us as we walked in the door he remembered us from the previous time which was great ! This is the second time my fitness and I have been to this great place. The food is wonderful and is served by a young and highly professional team , our waiter was Dre and he was excellent and very attentive . We will be returning in a few weeks time for the change of menu and I have no doubt it will be a throughly good night with great food and great service .

We went to BCOT Restaurant for the Vegan night as our first visit to the restaurant. The food was delicious and came out fast. The wine was also good quality and reasonably priced. We had such great service by Kayla who seemed confident, calm and in control. She has a very promising career ahead of her. This is the first of what we expect to be many visits to this little gem. Highly recommended.

What a find! This restaurant is amazing. We decided to try this for a get together with friends and we’re definitely going back. Food is excellent, staff are friendly and the value for money is most definitely there. Georgina was so lovely even though she was nervous. All our questions were answered and we were made to feel very relaxed. The only thing we were surprised by was that nobody asked if there were any allergies to be aware of but that is the only thing we could say is a slight negative. If you’re thinking of going, do it. 10/10

Apart from the stylish restaurant, beautifully prepared food, which was delicious and to the highest standard, the service was outstanding and these smartly dressed waiters and waitresses were friendly but professional. In the background was an efficient receptionist and even a student Restaurant Manager who was really on the ball, keeping an eye on the team and ensuring customers were served well as well as dealing with any queries the team had. Nothing phased her. This restaurant is well worth a visit, it provided a high end menu and the food was amazing. Good value for the cost too. All credit to the chef and teaching staff that run this course.

The theme tonight was Halloween and we were surprised how tastefully the restaurant was decorated. Our waitress was Lillia, She was friendly, welcoming, always with a smile, smartly dressed and oozed confidence and provided an excellent service. She will go far. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and served; certainly equal to any 'high end' restaurant. The College clearly provide and outstanding course which inspires these students to excel in all they learn. All credit to the teaching staff and the students - we will return. We tried the BCoT restaurant yesterday, as it had been recommended to us by several people. The food was excellent and the service professional and attentive. The students should do well in future! We tried the Hampshire Fare menu, and look forward to returning to try the next one.

I went with my husband and a group of friends last evening to the BCoT Restaurant Wine Tasting Evening. We had excellent food, the wines complemented the food brilliantly, the atmosphere was wonderful and the whole staff team of students and lecturers did a fantastic job. It was a very enjoyable evening and we will certainly be returning in the future.

We have been for several lunch time meals and have always been very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. There is always a good choice of dishes to suit everyone's taste. We try to visit once a month and like to try the different menus for each season. The meals are always served well by the students and it's great to see their confidence grow each time we visit. We have introduced friends and family to the restaurant and they have all been impressed. You should visit.

I have been a regular visitor at the BCOT Restaurant for a few years and have never complained about the meals. One can have a 1, 2 or 3 courses lunchtime seasonal menu, which changes every 5 weeks.. Being a college they are not open every day. It is worth giving them a call (01256 306306 or check out the website) and of course booking is essential. The prices are very average. The meals are served by Hospitality & Catering Students serving fine dining. The restaurant is open during term time on Wed, Thurs & Friday lunchtimes (12.00 - 2.00pm) & open in the evenings only on Weds. & Thurs (18.00 - 21.30pm). There is parking.

What a perfect gem of a place. Each time is a great time. This environment is great to see budding youngsters flourish and amazing food is served. Keep up the good work.

this restaurant used to be open tues lunch & eve , weds lunch & eve, thurs lunch & eve, & friday lunch, its now open days a week if your lucky! whats happening? this is a venue that should be ram packed, such a shame, i guess staff changes & tightening budgets have messed up another part of Bcot terrible!
