Booked for Sunday lunch - waited an age to be seated, very pleasant environment, ordered the Sunday roast, this took 4 trips from the waitress to bring the main course - the veg, the potatoes, the gravy by the time I'd gotten all I needed the whole meal was cold - no check back, ordered dessert - the crumble that also was stone cold - again no check back, the staff were polite and helpful but seemed to lack direction and leadership and seemed more invested in the wedding which was taking place - food very underwhelming

We had a super lunch here at the Swan. Good service, great food, reasonable prices. I had the Roast Porcetta and my wife had the roast beef. The vegetarian ravioli also went down well with our guests. We were the second sitting for lunch and two of the dessert choices had all gone by the time we got to that point but that didn't detract greatly from a good meal. Definitely recommended, total cost for 4 was £110 including drinks and a 10% service charge that was added.

This is our 3rd visit of this lovely pub and it just gets better. I’m so surprised anybody could be even slightly disappointed with this gem. We booked a table for 8 for Sunday lunch. My family all live in different parts of the UK and we all travel about an hour to reach this pub. The drive is so worth it. The car park is big enough to cope with all our cars and they have an electric car charger if needed. Outside (for our Grandchildren) is a lovely play area. Our welcome, our service and the food cannot be faulted in anyway. The portions are amazing and well presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff here. We thoroughly enjoyed all our meals. To top this amazing lunch off - a singer on an acoustic guitar was playing live in the background- at a volume we could still talk easily over, he too was amazing. Well done to everybody there - you all deserve a huge round of applause just like the singer! We will definitely see you again soon

Booked a table for Sunday lunch. Arrived and clearly table wasn’t reserved , table found and order placed at the bar. Ordered at 1330 for 5 people meal arrived at 1455!!! Completely unacceptable wait and no apology just a disorganised and inadequately staffed restaurant. Meal terrible roast potatoes like bricks, roast chicken was definitely fried not roasted and vegetables out of a tin. Couldn’t have been further from a roast dinner if it tried.

Stayed 2 nights. Easy to find. Went for a circular walk first evening..then had a excellent meal. As we were getting up early next day they had left a superb continental breakfast in our room. Breakfast next day was freshly cooked and lovely. Highly recommend this lovely place

We both had burgers which were served “bun less’. This suited us as often find it too filling. The chips were delicious and came with a nice salad garnish but the burger just tasted too fatty and cheap to me. Staff were friendly and helpful but unfortunately I had to leave my burger and spoiled my meal.

Not worth it. Had roast lunch, rushed to order for nothing but an over priced at best “average” roast. I have tried boiled potatoes crunchier than the ones on these plates with the beef slices served thicker than a well done steak. No apple sauce, you’re offering roast pork & it’s a Sunday. Unable to offer a till receipt, till still broken, but they are more than happy to take cash ….. interesting. What could be a really lovely country pub currently offering the same food, service, standard that your every day carvery could beat. All with a hint of something strange going on.

We came in for our lunch at around 12ish very nice and quiet. Had a lovely man greet us who allowed us to pick where we were sat. He asked for our drinks and our food which we were served with very little waiting time. The man was lovely and interacted with us and made us laugh when pretending our little boys meal was for him. We were looked after very well. We were all offered a lolly at the till and we were wished a lovely day. Best customer service we have received in a Poppins (we normally come to the Southampton one but the customer service isn't as good in there)

We came for the afternoon tea and we loved it. The presentation and quality was good. The restaurant has nice view to grounds with many colourful flowers. Anna has been amazing . So friendly and helpful. Nice selection of teas. We definitely will be back. We were told that zanetta from kitchen prepared our afternoon tea.

Called in for breakfast . I have visited before and found it quite nice although some of the staff can be a little curt. This time i was met with a miserable man with glasses , bellowing out orders. He handed me my order and proceeded with a very backward stereotype, a racial "joke". I don't expect to be racially abused when i am spending my hard earned money in your cafe. After his bigoted quip, he scurried off very quickly. I am glad he did as it was likely he d have had his glasses smacked off his head. Cheeky boy trying to belittle people when he's serving coffees for a living. I wont be back near the establishment as I don't support bigots.

I’ve been here a few times now (at different times of the day) and it’s ALWAYS brilliant. Staff are lovely & food is excellent. Yesterday, a friend & I (who I haven’t seen for 25yrs) began with coffee at 10.30am and left after lunch at 2.30pm…would HIGHLY recommend. Thank you team 🥰
