Fabulous overnight stay at Hoddington Arms in the brand new accommodation. We stayed in the accessible room and it was very comfortable, spacious and designed perfectly for anyone with mobility issues. Loved the decor and very handy having a little fridge and enjoyed the nespresso machine. Look forward to returning. A perfect place to explore the local countryside and of course the gorgeous pub food.

Great meal with great service but felt staff could have been increased. But they were great and fun!!!! Breakfast was busy but only Alisia - hope that is correct - on and as she only had a short night from a late finish, very unfair. Hotel a little tired but as clean as the staff can do.

Last Sunday I brought my two children in for dinner and as soon as we got there we were warmly welcomed by a lovely waitress, we were asked if we would like water and had it brought straight to us. Service was outstanding, the waitress and waiter were very attentive, the food portions were brilliant as well as the food. Overall amazing food and customer service, will definitely be visiting again.

I am very surprised by the good reviews. This was the worst pub restaurant we have ever been to. I phoned the day before to check that they were dog friendly. I was assured that they were dog friendly, and I had read some reviews saying that dogs were welcome. We have two very small very well behaved dogs. When we arrived we were met with an elderly man who was extremely rude and grumpy. His first words were that we must not allow the dogs on the furniture or in the garden. He made us feel extremely unwelcome and very uncomfortable. We had a dog pram for the dogs so it was obvious that we were considerate dog owners. We were considering leaving, but we had all travelled quite a distance and didn't know of anywhere else locally. The furniture was old uncomfortable and tatty. The garden was a muddy hole with two swings. I asked if I could have chunky chips with my sandwich and I was told it comes with small fries and if I wanted chunky chips I would only get 3 chips! Surely working in hospitality, this is not the way to treat customers. Perhaps he should have suggested that I could order a side order of chips... when our food arrived the waiter spilled coke over one of the plates. He did not even apologise or offer to replace the meal. The food was ok, nothing special. No one asked if everything was ok, or if we wanted anything else. We were just left alone. It is also very overpriced. For 3 small lunches, 2 glasses of coke and a small bottle of water, we were charged over £60. I wish I had been told they were not dog friendly when I phoned. This was very unfair and ruined a special day for us.
