Food was very nice when it came but took 2 hours from arriving to eating. At no point did anyone come to check on us/apologise etc.

Ate our meal at comfortable warm table. - Not a great start though, no lamb or beef available (we ordered trio roasts) no parnsips or stuffing served, had to ask & chase. Tiniest pot of gravy had to ask for more. First table we were sat down at was literally freezing, we pulled the blind down behind us but still freezing, we asked for the fire to be lit but were told no coal but we could see logs, kindling & fire lighters which no one wanted to light. + But we did then move to much warmer, comfortable table so that was fine & the servers & bar man were really nice & the food good so on balance a good visit.

Good food, tasty and great value. Our ur server Cheryl was super helpful. A lovely evening. We would go again in a heartbeat.

Excellent venue, plenty of parking, restaurant had a welcoming and cosy atmosphere, staff were welcoming especially Cheryl and the new bar manager. Plenty to chose off the menu, I had the buttermilk chicken which was yummy, friends had chicken skewers which were huge, dog friendly and you can visit the watermill part which is still in operation. Well worth a visit as it was good value for money

There were few positives on this visit. The welcome was barely a welcome, the lady (whom I think is the manager), barely looked at us when handing over menu’s. It took a long time to get our drinks and food ordered. The food took well over an hour to actually get to our table. When it arrived 3 out of the 4 meals were lukewarm but we chose to keep the children’s meals and my wife’s as they were very hungry by this point (around 20:15). My meal was a fillet and was barely warm to touch so I asked for a meal that would be hot and match the £30 price point. It arrived again quickly, but had simply been warmed up and new fries added. No apology was given and no explanation or recompense offered. The kids were very tired at this point and so we headed home, I had to stop at the bar to pay and did not get asked how my meal was, so I decided to just call it a loss and head home rather than make a scene. All in all, a poor experience and I’ve promised myself I won’t be heading back, despite living about 7 mins away. Some customer service training is in order I think. We have been a few times and whilst it’s usually average, this fell well below even those expectations.

Booked here for a family birthday celebration. Lovely warm and cosy building but was rather quiet when we were there, but this could be that we chose a time between lunch and dinner. 1 small gripe was in a very quiet restaurant they placed another couple on a table very close to ours, meaning the servers couldn't easily get past even though their were plenty of empty tables away from ours. The service was quick and friendly and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back! 😃

Service was terribly slow. Table booked at 1815 and we didn't leave until 2125, having complained about the service time and asked for the bill when ordering desserts so that we could pay and leave quickly. Even then, I had to ask to pay the bill. The food was slow to arrive (but not ridiculously slow) but we were left with empty starter plates for 15 minutes - which was not great - and main course plates for 45 minutes - which was unacceptable. We were only asked for further drinks when the dessert order was taken. I heard two other tables complaining about service times. When my wife said how long we'd been in the restaurant the service staff said "no you haven't", effectively calling her a liar.

This was a very disappointing visit to the point I felt it necessary to apologise to my wife for bringing her. The food was mediocre at best I had the signature burger. My wife had chicken parmigiana that she said it tasted like frozen chicken from Costco. It was very cold in the dining area. Wait times were terrible, we was there 1h:45 Just to have main meals and then skipped desert just because how long it took. In the time we were there 3 different meals were sent back due to being cold. Shocked. truly shocked

Second visit at Longbridge Mill on Friday evening and it was great! We will be back. Lovely food at reasonable prices and a very friendly team.

Went for lunch today and had Maddy serving our table she was very attentive and made sure we got everything we wanted promptly whilst being very kind! The food and drink itself was amazing and we loved everything that we got would definitely recommend coming here and would come back again! We came to the longbridge mill again and Cheryl served us today (7/1/25) she was very friendly from start to finish and made sure we had everything we needed through out the whole meal! We were both very pleased with the service we had today as it’s nice to know that the place hasn’t changed but for the better! Food was excellent again too!

Amy our waitress was super attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and was served in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend for a Sunday roast.

Lunch for 4 on Saturday after New Year, so the venue was very quiet. Lots more positives than negatives here. Great food, great service and great setting. The only downside was that the place was really quite cold. The heating was on but the fire wasn't lit until >30 mins after we arrived. I am sure if it was busy this issue would less, and of course when not literally freezing outside! Thank you Anna for the service.

Lovely venue, felt very comfy there. Friendly staff and good selection of drinks and food menu. Liked that there are also sharer dishes. I was recommended this place and came here with the family for my husband's birthday, he was very pleased with the food.

Good atmosphere but food not so good, service slow and amateur.

Food was nice, new staff had no idea on table set ups, long wait between courses (not a bad thing compared to the previous time we had Christmas dinner with you) but the time between courses was too long, sat us in an area I specifically asked not to be sat in, requested a gluten free bread roll and had to wait ages for my starter because of this (was requested when order was placed) despite the rest of our table receiving their starters

We booked for the Xmas menu at 7pm. But when we arrived and eventually seated we were told the my had run out and could only do the standard menu. We then didn’t get served a main course until 8:45. Food was average and often cold. Won’t come back.

Lovely christmas eve lunch with family great service from Ewen and lovely food

A lovely impromptu Christmas Eve lunch with an old friend. We opted for the fish finger sandwiches followed by the mini bakewell tart and coffee. The food came out hot, and in good time. Anna (our waitress) was friendly, attentive and polite. She knew the menu and allergens well. She mentioned that they have over 400 covers booked for Christmas Day, and i hope that this goes as well as our mini celebration was today.

Ordered food on Friday evening, after 30 minutes chased the food order to be told it hadn’t put through correctly. No apology was given, therefore we left the pub without dinner. It should also be noted the last few visits the pub has been very cold - therefore we will not be returning.

Good food and phenomenal desserts. Sticky toffee was really good. Cheryl did a great job serving us.

We eaten 3 times in the past 6 weeks here. Its nice. Some of the staff are really engaging, eye contact and chatty. 1st visit generally fine. 2nd visit, nice welcoming staff. Sunday roast was cold so ask for it to go in the microwave which the kitchen obliged. If I was the chef I would have been embarrassed and re plated but he was happy to bung it in the microwave. 3rd visit this Sunday. Challenging as some tractors were due in the car park so heaving with people lingering around taking up tables. Roasts were warm. No steam off the food. Didn't help the kitchen staff came into the bar opened the fire doors to go and see the tractors but held the fire door open. We were so cold, eating warm food. I guess we will try elsewhere for a hot Sunday roast. Note 5 real ales 3 always "coming soon" seems to be the rule here. Front of house staff a credit. Kitchen needs some heat lamps or improved co ordination.

The pub was nice and not busy when we got there. The 2 members of staff were welcoming. Service, however, was appallingly slow. We arrived at 12.15pm and didn't get our starters until almost 1.15pm and got our mains around 1.40pm. We decided to forego dessert or coffee as we ran out of time. Very disappointing. There was a large group in for lunch and it looked like they may have pre-ordered which was probably just as well or they'd probably still be there now. Staffing levels were clearly too light, which isn't acceptable given they knew there was a large booking. The food was very nice, but I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Dined here twice within a week and both had very slow service! First was on the Sunday for a roast dinner with my partner. Service was very slow, we were not in a hurry so didn’t think much of waiting over 45 minutes for food but we had to ask for our drinks when the food arrived and we had not even been given drinks. We were seated in a corner between two big tables so felt forgotten. I had already booked our work Christmas meal for 7 people and was concerned with my experience above but felt that maybe they were just busy. The experience was much worse. It was not even that busy compared to the Sunday. We were there for over 4 hours, only 2 courses of food. 4 people had the Turkey and these were sent back to warm up as arrived cold. My main was over cooked and dry. We ordered drinks which took over an hour to receive and some did not even turn up. Very disappointed as we had eaten here for our Christmas work meal last year and had a great experience. The place was lacking atmosphere. Bad night and expensive for the rubbish experience, luckily I had great company!

Absolutely dreadful and after many years of eating here, I can safely say that I will never return. We booked a Christmas meal here last week and experienced the most dreadful service and food quality. There was no atmosphere in the pub and we waited hours for food to arrive. When the food did arrive it was lukewarm so we sent it back to the kitchen. We then had the pleasure of eating dried out food that had been reheated. Drinks ordered during the excessively long wait never arrived and there was no communication from the waiting staff.

Most awful experience here last night! I booked a table for a lovely family pre Christmas meal and left hungry and angry. Table was booked for 7pm, it took over half hour to be asked our drinks order, then another 20 minutes at least for them to arrive and food order to be taken. Our starters arrived around 8:30pm which was a long wait but we allowed time as it’s Christmas and knew it would be busy. We had plates cleared thinking mains would follow shortly after. Mains never arrived and it got to 9:30pm when we decided to leave, two and a half hours after we arrived. Two and a half hours is ridiculous time to wait for a main but what made it worse is our server never approached us apologising for the delay or to ask if we wanted extra drinks etc, literally no communication. When we left the guy behind the bar said he didn’t even have an excuse why the service had been as bad as it had and didn’t blame us for leaving. We weren’t the only unhappy diners. If you have booked for Christmas I would suggest you try and go somewhere else if possible as you will only have your Christmas ruined going here. We don’t know if our mains would ever have arrived but what we do know is after years of going to Longbridge for Sunday roasts, birthday celebrations, date nights and Christmases we will NEVER be going back there again.

We booked a festive evening with family for 7pm. We waited until 7.30 before we were asked if we wanted drinks. Waited another half hour for our drinks to arrive. It then took 45 minutes before our starters arrived. We then waited until gone 9.30 for our mains so decided to walk out The waiter / waitress did not communicate with us or offer us any nibbles or apologise for the wait. It’s such a shame we use to enjoy coming here, but we will not be returning.

Go here often. Was very disappointed last night. The waitress, who’s name we didn’t know, was rude, didn’t keep us updated on our food, was offered no nibbles because of the long wait times. Took 30mins to order drinks, another 30mins for them to come and then 45mins for the starters to come. Table was booked for 7, 9:30 and no food. Had to leave because let’s be real, who’s eating a roast dinner at 10 at night. If you have a Christmas dinner booked it over the next few weeks, think over wise.

TBF we didn't eat, as we left after waiting for over one hour to be served. This was the second time with a similar experience.

Customer service was great from a gentleman named Scott. The food came swiftly and the eggs Benedict is a brunch dish I’d recommend.

We waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food to come and it didn’t even end up coming. No logs were being put on the fire and we were not being served at all. Would not go again disappointingly.

Had a wonderful time at Longbridge Mill. We had Lauren as our lovely server as well as the rest of the welcoming team. The atmosphere is so pretty with the festive decorations. Very welcoming and the food is delicious. I recommend the Root Vegetable Wellington and The Honeycomb Dome

Came here last minute for Sunday roast. The service was excellent, even when it got busy, Clio was polite and friendly and attentive. The foot was delicious and Sunday roast portions were generous. The forest fruit crumble was the star for me, although their dessert selection was great.

Cheryl was our lovely server!! She was clearly busy but kept checking in with us and we had a cracking roast!!!

The Longbridge Mill is in a lovely location which happens to be the halfway point where I meet a friend a couple of times a year! Cheryl, who served us, was charming and efficient and kept an eye on our needs so that we were never wanting nor waiting! The only small quibble, with otherwise great high-end pub grub, was that the roast pepper soup I ordered as a starter didn’t look nor taste of peppers! It was more like a wholesome potato-ey veggy soup which Tasted fine but wasn’t quite what I expected. It might also have benefitted from a nice warm crusty sourdough bread than the very bland white partially toasted and not warm bread it came with. Both of us chose smoked haddock and spinach fishcakes as our main course but both of us were agreed that from the description we had expected the spinach to be in the fish cake mix and not a small pile of fresh spinach leaves wilting under the fish cakes! We also found that neither of us got a hint of the very distinctive and lovely flavour of smoked haddock!! That said - the food is well cooked and presented and the portions are more than generous … it just wasn’t what are taste buds were eagerly expecting! Would we go again … yes of course! It’s good value, the service - Cheryl - was charming and the food is plentiful and varied!

Restaurant was dead on a Sunday evening with no more than 2 other small parties dining. Service was incredibly slow despite it being super quiet, having to wait 30 minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. Half the food on the menu we were told was unavailable, so there were extremely limited options. Overall would not come back

What an awful place. The venue was basically empty but the service was beyond slow. The food when the order was eventually taken was good but the place was freezing, no heating and no fires lit, it is obviously a known issues as they have blankets dotted around. When you are paying this amount you should not be expected to sit in coats and blankets to eat a meal. I appreciate that they would like to have a dog friendly environment but when you have a reactive dog that barked incessantly disturbing the few other people who braved the arctic conditions the management should have intervened, a dog friendly place should only be for friendly dogs. Tables were not cleaned after 30 minute wait I had to find a member of staff by shouting to find someone, they then said someone would be over with the bill. After a longer wait I was about to leave when a member of staff final arrived, no apology was offered. My suggestion would be to pay your dam heating bill and maybe get some staff who understand what good customer service is, this used to be a lovely local venue, now it is a frigid place where customer service goes to freeze to death. In the summer at least you have the entertainment of watching the rats running over all the patio tables and cutlery. Enter at your own peril

We absolutely love coming to Longbridge Mill! We always bring our 2(sometimes3) golden retrievers and could not be made more welcome by Yasmin and her team. Today it was Amy P who looked after us brilliantly! Thanks guys. See you again VERY soon 💛

3 of us had a meal there today (wed 6 nov). We arrived at approx 2.15. The food was good, large portions. The service was appalling, very very slow, even though there was only 6 or so people in the mill. The drinks were served, then after half an hour we had to chase the menu, even though all 3 people were using walking aids. Menus brought and we were told it would be table service because of walking aids. Half an hour or so later one of us had to go to the bar to order the food. Once ordered food came in good time. Once eaten another three quarters of hour we had to chase the bill. No one came to take payment. The person, I take to be bar manager, printed out the bill and instead of bringing it over, stood talking to other customers for 5 mins, the bill was brought to the table and was told the machine would be brought to us, 10 mins later we had to chase some for that too. I would like to state that apart from the occasions when we chased for service etc.NO MEMBER OF STAFF WAS VISABLE, FRONT OF HOUSE. No one checked if meal was ok or if we required another drink or dessert or coffee. All 3 of us were wrapped in shawls because the room was so cold that it was almost too cold to stay. The whole time we were in the mill, there was another table that had brought their dog. The dog barked the whole time, from us going in at approx 2.15 to them leaving an hour or more later. Also a child that was completely unruly. The whole ambiance of the mill was wrong because of a barking dog, its owner saying, why or you barking, shush, be quiet, no more barking you bad boy. NOT CONDUCIVE TO AN ENJOYABLE TIME. So all in all, SERVICE DIABOLICAL, ROOM ICE COLD, NO STAFF AVAILABLE AT ALL. Not an enjoyable meal, which it should have been. Not a place I would recommend nor that I will be returning to

Met up with some family for a lovely Sunday roast, food was excellent, service was a little slow but it was ever so busy, so it was completely understandable. The interior of the mill was quite homey, and we snagged a table in its own little alcove so it felt like we had a room to ourselves!

We had a lovely meal, served by Scott. Fantastic customer service, wonderful meal in a cosy environment, will definitely be back!

We’ve always had such great service when we’ve visited Longbridge Mill and on our most recent visit, we brought our 15 day old baby girl and our Labrador for our first day out as a family of 4! Service was just as amazing and Ewan - our waiter - was very attentive! Thank you very much :)
