Afternoon tea, was amazing huge selection of sandwiches and cakes which were delicious 🥪🧁 😋. Friendly welcoming hosts. Excellent service was given to all 15 of us with individual vegetarian and gluten free options being served. 👏 😆 Only thing I would recommend is being able to choose tea or coffee rather than only tea being served. You have to pay separately if you want coffee. ☕️

I live above the club and I’m currently pregnant. The loud DJ music in the back garden is very hard for me to cope with during the day. I’d really appreciate it if you could lower the volume or move the setup indoors.

Just stopped off at this lovely pub/restaurant for an early lunch. Taking advantage of the lovely weather we sat in the garden. The two young staff members were extremely polite and pleasant. The menu offered a good few options. The food was excellent, good portions and value for money. One of us had the Welsh steak which was cooked to perfection. I had the ‘basket’ option of scampi and chips with tartare sauce which again was a very good portion and excellent scampi! Toddler had the fish fingers and chips again great portion which he couldn’t finish. My daughter ordered two starters, (instead of a main) pan fried tiger prawns which were delicious and we shared the Stilton leek and garlic mushroom with sour dough bread and chutney as she couldn’t eat it all! Washed down with a decent wine and Guinness!! We will definitely be back as it’s very rare to find a decent pub/restaurant with great food, good value and well trained polite staff. Thank you guys!!

Myself, my husband and my two young children stayed at the Pen-y-bont hotel over the bank Holiday weekend and can't recommend it enough. The location is spectacular, it doesn't get much better. Brian and Angela the owners of the hotel are fabulous, nothing was to much for them and they made us feel very welcome. Compliments to Brian who is also the chef, his food was delicious! The owners are very knowledgeable on the area and can give you directions to places only locals know about which adds just that little bit extra to your holiday. Please don't hesitate to book this hotel. You won't regret it!

Great food and nice atmosphere . My wife, daughter and i visited on a cold Tuesday afternoon. We had a nice welcome and the place was warm and welcoming. The lunch we had was beautifully cooked and well presented. Plenty to eat and very nice. We will return.

Precioso restaurante y vistas impresionantes.

After somewhere for Sunday lunch with our multigenerational family, The Llewelyn was suggested. We weren’t sure what to expect, especially as we arrived at the very start of service and the restaurant was very quiet. Clearly used by guests of the hotel for breakfast and buffets also - which is fine - it initially felt a little uncomfortable as quite empty but as other guests joined us, the atmosphere lightened. The menu is limited for lunch - we think they may have previously had a carvery buffet? - with just roast main courses and a few pudding choices, plus restricted kids menu, but portions were very generous. As some of our party were vegetarians, we weren’t sure what the ‘vegetable and seed roast’ would be, but it was delicious. Alongside the main roast - which came with roast potatoes, red cabbage, carrots and parsnips plus a huge Yorkshire pudding - was a separate dish of lovely cauliflower cheese plus extra gravy. Another member of the party wasn’t a vegetarian, and we were quite surprised when another dish of cauliflower cheese came along with another jug of extra (vegetarian) gravy! We couldn’t manage all the extra veg between the three of us, even though it was delicious. We were too full for desert, but left happy and full of praise for The Llewelyn, definitely a Criccieth Sunday lunch special!

We loved this place. Not only were all the staff really lovely but the other customers were a great laugh! We had an evening meal and breakfast and they were both PERFECT. Our room was lovely and I want to visit again. And then again. I think what I might have loved best was the soft sheep noise in the background.

Lovely cup of tea, apparently really nice dragon coffee (I wasn't drinking it!), nice staff. Very clean and modern. Fire door propped open by extinguisher...errrr.....
