Came in on 31/10 at about 3pm. Ordered two regular chips, 2 ketchups and 2 cans of coke. Came to £10.20 which I thought was quite steep. I live in South London and this same order is £6.20 at my local. The restaurant was empty and stood for a while until served, a few teenage boys made eye contact but didn't seem interested in serving. A lady eventually came out and served. We walked down to the seafront to eat and as I unwrapped my chips there was a hair which immediately put me off. Chips tasted disgusting and perhaps like they had been reheated multiple times. Had one chip each and we both had to bin them all as they were inedible. Such a disappointment. If I hadn't walked down to the seafront (or had my child with me) I would have returned but I couldn't be bothered with it all since the service was lacking initially I didn't expect much response.

Lunch time so not too hungry. Decided on the small breakfast. As big as a big breakfast anywhere else. Good quality bacon and fresh farm eggs. Delicious, filling and a reasonable cost.Will eat here when next in Aberaeron

We came here for a couple of nights in our motorhome. We would usually eat out in restaurants but found them not to be dog friendly so we decided to eat in our motorhome. We called at this chippy on our way back on the first night and had fish, chips, mushy peas and curry. Everything we ate was delicious. I am very fussy so this is a big statement. The staff are a credit to the establishment and even gave our dogs a sausage. Keep up the good work. We love to spend money in all the towns we visit and happy this time with our choice. We went the 2 nights and both were amazing. Try the curry too x

Called with three grandchildren on the off chance on a busy weekend ! We’re shown to a table suitable for five plenty of room. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Excellent selection of dishes and children’s menu nice and varied and good value. Colouring and crayons provided for for the children which kept them occupied until their food was served The young man who served us was extremely polite and helpful. Portions very generous and tasty with REAL chips Will define return Thank you

We had a takeaway meal and ate at the harbour. Chips were great and the curry sauce the best I’ve ever had. Kids fish and chips was good value and plenty of it. Girl on the counter was so friendly. 10 out of 10 experience!

Our second visit, following an impressive first visit. However, we could not believe the difference in our visits, only a few days apart. We placed our order, fish, chips and peas, and chips, 2 faggots and peas. 2 drinks and a portion of bread and butter. Firstly 2 plates of chips arrived with nothing else. We spoke to the waiter. He took both back and returned with it all transferred in a pile on a small plate. I asked about the peas, he said they weren't included..... They were on the menu. No b and butter, so I queried that. His response, oh I will check. He appeared with 1 slice. It clearly stated 2 slices in a portion. When I asked about this he said I can cut in half to give you 2 pieces......after all this one of the faggots were inedible. So hard and crusty..... We paid our bill, highlighting the errors. The girl on the till even said no , it's only 1 piece of b and butter, despite menu stating 2. No real apologies. Just spoilt our last night of the holiday.

Called in for a takeaway as heard they had new owners. Wasnt very impressed with the service, no smile or no can I help you? Just nodded as if to say "you're next". Didnt have to wait long and was told thank you for waiting. Chips were okay but the batter could have been a bit crispier, was a bit soggy and the same with the battered sausage. My husband had the chicken breast which looked and confirmed it was a bit dry but the curry sauce helped to moisten it. I dont think we will be returning in a hurry. A smile goes a long way, just saying!

Went there today for lunch, sat outside the front as we had the dog with us. Friendly and helpful staff, ordered cod and chips twice with curry sauce.. delicious freshly cooked fish, bloody delicious curry sauce… would happily recommend them and won’t hesitate to return… wonderful!!

Lovely traditional fish and chip restaurant but with an unusual variety of food. Fish was excellent but also had tempura prawns which you don’t get everywhere. We had takeaway and we’re catering for a variety of ages and tastes but all thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Visited for lunch with family on the 27/08/19. My daughter and her family ordered first and then our order was taken. My daughters order was delivered and they had finished their meal before we had even received our order when it eventually arrived I had ordered cod and chips and upon cutting it open found that it was all batter and hardly any cod inside for £8.90 I thought this was shocking I did ask if this could be changed and they did by the time I had received my meal my husband had finished his and I had my whole family waiting for me to finish. All in all not a very pleasant trip and would probably not eat there again

If the staff had spend more time doing their own jobs and not just talking about it then the two fish and chip lots I ordered may not of taken 15 minutes to turn up and would not of been stone cold fish under red hot better. Reheated fish is just not good, and I wish I would of gone somewhere else to eat.

We have previously visited this chip shop before has seemed to have gone down hill, I ordered quiche, had a very small portion and some of it I was unable to eat as it was rock solid, probably has been in the microwave too long, not worth the money at all.

Despite my microwaved catering sausage, everything was fine. crispy chips, slightly overpriced for the portion size but no harm exploiting a few tourists. But hot and tasty nonetheless.

We visited on an extremely busy day over bank holiday , looking forward to fish and chips by the sea . Not a space anywhere to park , decided to buy fish and chips , drive on to eat them out of town . The gentleman in the shop was so kind , he allowed us to park on his property at the back of the shop , how kind is that ! We had travelled three hours , so this meant we were able to enjoy our beautifully cooked fish and chips by the sea and enjoy Aberaeron ! The fish and chips were freshly cooked , and delicious , we have eaten here before and will definitely eat here again . Many thanks for truly making our day !

I called in for a late breakfast and only wanted a couple of pieces of bacon, an egg, some toast, and coffee. Although the bacon/egg bit differed from their set menu it was no trouble for them to do this and when it came, very quickly, it was beautifully cooked and very tasty. The coffee was delicious.

Had take out of battered sausage curry sauce not the best sausage its already cooked then left in cabinet then microwaved then dipped in batter then deep fried the batter wasn't crispy but soggy and spongy not nice portion size of chips was small aswell... the curry sauce was thick and full of saltanas not nice...my wife had a pie she said she struggled to cut it it was so dry...

Well !! ..We stopped in here for a bite to eat while we out and about and we were very pleased with the quality of the service and the food. Potion size was huge only just stayed on the plate and the fish was out of this world. We will be calling in again without a doubt.

We visited here last week and ordered 2 pie and chips and one cod as the cod in the display looked so lovely. However when we got back to the car discovered we had been served a different fish that was not in the display, batter was hard and over cooked, and fish dry inside. We should have gone back to complain but we wanted to eat and had already walked a way back to the car and driven even further away.

We have visited here many times during our 7 week stay in Aberaeron. It’s reasonably priced, food is amazing and the staff can’t do enough for you.

We have been calling at Llond Plat for many years en route to North Wales and sometimes return journeys too. Food is always amazing and excellent value, staff are kind and patient with our big, noisy family group. We often visit Aberaeron for the day, and wouldn't dream of eating anywhere else. Their battered haggis dish is my husbands absolute favourite, and we always buy extra to take with us. If you want plenty of good quality food at reasonable prices, this is your best option !!

I've been an irregular regular at Llond Plat for some years now. This has been my go-to Chippy whenever I've been able to get into town - mostly, not often enough for my liking - and I have never been disappointed when I have visited.

As the name suggests they are very generous with their portions good old fashioned fish and chips, plenty of choice and the restaurant, is good with a very good staff. Good value for your pound

Went for a long day's motorcycle ride with mates from South Wales (I'm from 'over the bridge'). When we visit the coast we always have fish and chips (as you must!). Prior to travelling I did some online research on Aberaeron's fish and chip shops, and Llond Plat looked ideal as we wanted a sit-down meal. We were not disappointed! Place was clean and tidy and not very busy as it was by then late lunchtime. Our meals were freshly cooked to order for us, so we had a few minutes to wait, but not long. Staff were cheery and polite. I had plaice, and it made a change from the cod that usually only offered in many places. Next time we're over this way, we know the perfect place to call. "We'll be back!"

A lovely restaurant. Great place for Family meals. Locally sourced ingredients. Chips are perfect. Everything is perfect. Accessible all on one level. Friendly welcoming staff. Tables outside as well. Opposite bus stops. They do Haggis in batter.

On a few days break in Aberaeron and this chippy had been recommended. It didn’t disappoint. Haddock, cod or plaice cooked fresh with very generous portions of chips. Very friendly staff too. Very much looked forward to their food and one good reason to visit the town again. Who these people are who give a bad rating is beyond me.

Don't be fooled by the New Celtic's prime spot and slogan! This is by far the better chippie, if you're looking for fresh and crisp (i.e not soggy) chips. Always look for where the locals go and we go here 😊

Four of us there for sit down fish and chips, curry sauce, mug of tea. You just can't get better. Clean and tidy, sturdy chairs, clean bathrooms, great food, excellent service. The chips are superb, as is the fish, and the curry sauce is one of the best ever

Purchased fish and chips (and a sausage for the dogs!) from here whilst on holiday as a takeaway. These were the best chips ever!!! We even went back later in the week for some more chips! Would definitely recommend!!

I went to this restaurant on a Friday evening. Was really impress with the size of the fish. The service was friendly and quick and the fish was out of this world!

I visited with my wife for another meal on our way home from work. I opted for their delicious breakfast of two thick bacon rashers, two sausages, two hash browns, baked beans, rounds of toast and a mug of milky coffee. My wife enjoyed two thick slices of gammon, an egg, and a good size portion of chips with a mug of tea. Both meals and the service were excellent and the restaurant comfortable and clean. Well done on your Welsh and English menus and also your use of symbols to assist those having difficulty reading, produced with the help of the Speech and Language Therapy Department of the Hywel Dda University Health Board. We had four fish and chips and one pasty and chips. The chips where hard and undercooked. The veg in the pasty was hard. And to top it off the fish was full off big bones. In it's favour the fish was cooked and did taste nice. Best stick with the Celtic around the corner for our weekly fish and chips.

El baño estaban limpios, pero el caballero tenía el suelo resbaladizo. Yo no volvería, hay cafés en Aberaeron mucho mejor.

We went here today and ordered fish, chips and mushy peas to take away. I couldn't believe what I had actually been served here when I opened the paper! The fish batter was on the verge of being black, the fish was dried out inside and the chips greasy. The only thing edible was the mushy peas. The annoying thing is that this should not even have been sold to a customer in this state. All went straight in the bin!! Really annoyed!!!!!

We decided to have a fish and chip lunch. We chose Llond Plat because its prices for sit down meals were cheaper than others on offer in the town. We had excellent service and excellent fish and chips. This ia a simple fish and chip restaurant, nothing fancy but as I have said, service and food are as good as you would want. The only niggle I would make and it doesn't impugn on the meal is that the menu is tired and dull - it needs livening up and renewing.

The arrangements for us to have breakfast at Llond Plat went seamlessly. Within ten minutes of arrival all had been served with the excellent full breakfast and tea or coffee.The staff were attentive and friendly. It was nice to have a smile after the winding trip from North West Wales. I f we have another rugby fixture this season in West Wales Llond Plat will be receiving a phone call. Well done.

Always good food here whether eating in or take away. Most of the staff are really friendly but some of the youngsters can be a bit 'moody' They have never messed my order up and we always get really good value for money
