Best Sunday roast I’ve had in a very long time! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back :) dog friendly is a bonus too!

A true pub that serves good food. The barman and locals were very welcoming and helpful. The prices are very reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed our day out. I couldn’t find the menu on line before we went but there was plenty to choose from. We had homemade Chicken Curry with chips and rice / Scampi, posh fries, peas then Apple pie with custard

Been to The Prince Of Wales Many time the atmosphere was brilliant the food was delicious and the beer was probably the cheapest in Aberearon will definitely be going back.

Great back street (but near the front) traditional local we visited on a cold and wet January weekend. It was quiet but the few locals in, landlord and barmaids made us and the two dogs welcome. The simple winter menu was fine to choose from and I had a delicious home made chicken curry. The menu is being added to before the season starts.Such a nice visit we went back for food and drinks again on the Sunday. Love digging out and supporting this type of pub on out travels.

We visited Aberaeron during the Xmas break and wanted to find a dog friendly pub that sold food. After walking around for a while we came across this place which fitted our needs a treat. The four of us ordered drinks and food from their lunchtime menu plus the owner provided water for our dog. Food was plentiful and hearty and reasonably priced.

A very relaxed and friendly pub , Danny , Steve and all the staff were very welcoming, its dog friendly and families are welcome too.

Went on recommendation from locals, we had the lasagne, it was lovely, menu was usual pub grub which is what we were looking for. Pub was clean, staff friendly and some good local ales. All in all definitely recommend and will be back.

Typical Felinfoel Brewery pub, ie, crying out for some money to be spent on it ...had Sunday lunch, meat was nice, lots of veg ...friendly locals, but the chairs in the dining room badly need recovering and the room itself, while nice and light, needs some sort of decor, it's very bare ...wish I could give it a better rating as Aberaeron needs pubs like this ....the beer was good and the staff were excellent

visited for some lunch, staff were all very friendly. extremely dog friendly. Unfortunately when i arrived only a few menu items left as it was delivery day, but they made me something with ingredients they had. nice little outdoor area. Good choice of drinks and all good value for money. would recommend.

Staff was friendly however, the tables didn't seem to of been cleaned for a long time and very sticky, food below average would not return or recommend.

arrived and got seated 20 mins after our booking time, we arrived 10 mins early, for a place with 9 tables they seem to be running around alot🏃‍♂️. Tables were sticky, definitely not wiped down or cleaned properly, we even had to go up and collect our own cutlery!! (i am outraged😡😤) , i would like to add im trying to continue our review but its been 45 mins and we havent had any food, we were told the carvery guy would tell us when to come up, i feel forgotton. got our carvery: NO BLOODY MASH POTATOES?!?!?! almost everythin was empty i was scraping the tin for peas. not suitible for picky eaters, only broccoli and califlower was covered in cheese only 2 meats, turkey or beef all sauces ran out not worth the hours wait for food no the hours wait for permission to get food we served ourself the photo is what the picky eater was left with 🤸‍♂️ 🪑 🏌‍♂️

Brilliant pub, us and our dogs were made to feel so welcome.

We needed a restaurant with wheelchair access. This amazing restaurant fitted the bill. We had heard good things. The staff are truly lovely. They were exceptional. So very warm and friendly. Once again we all picked something different. The food was so very, very good. We chose the fish and chips, lasagne and toasted cheese and tomato for mains. We chose strawberry sundae, apple pie and custard and chocolate fudge cake. We cleared every plate. The portion sizes were excellent. The drinks were lovely. The restaurant was lovely and bright. We can see why it is so popular. If we lived there it would be our local. Us 'cockneys' loved it.

We were looking for a dog friendly pub and the Prince of Wales didn’t disappoint. From the bar staff to the Patrons, everyone was really welcoming. Food was brilliant and then we watched the Rugby. Atmosphere was great. I would really recommend the Prince of Wales and we will be back.

We walked passed this pub the Sunday before and listened to the people leaving who were all singing the praises of the Sunday carvery. On the following Friday we were in town again and thought we’d give the pub a go for lunch. It was a sunny day so we were able to sit in the beer garden. The very friendly barman brought us our menus and then came back around 10 mins later to take our order and had a nice chat with us. We both decided to have the lasagna and chips. When the meals came out we were stunned. They looked amazing and the aroma was delicious and beguiling. The side salad was very fresh with lots of colourful ingredients and very pleasing to the eye and palate. The plentiful chips were crisp, dry and fluffy inside. Perfect. But, the star of the show was the homemade lasagna. I have been commended on my own homemade lasagna, but this was a level above. The rustic consistency was right with lots of meat and juicy chunks of tomato and garlic. It was lava hot and the cheesey bechamel sauce was gooey and quite sublime. All in all it was an epic lunch and a very pleasant experience. Excellent food and really good value. The staff and regulars at the bar were very welcoming and we had a laugh with them on the way out. They welcomed our little dog warmly too. This is a no nonsense, proper old fashioned pub, that serves excellent, no frills pub grub, at very good and reasonable prices, and we loved it. It is not fine dining or a “gastropub” but we think that’s what gives it its charm. There are enough poncey overpriced eateries in Aberaeron, for those that like that sort of thing. We don’t. We plan on returning to the Prince very soon and working our way around the menu, each time we visit.

This is a cracking pub. Good beer, friendly staff and tasty home cooked food. I am vegan and had no problem at all.

This is a rough around the edges homely place. The staff are really friendly and hospitable. We had two dogs in tow and they seated us in a quiet room. We had one of the best roast dinners , in the area… the closest to home cooked you can get.. All 6 of us plus two dogs really enjoyed the food. Great food and price… The place may be in need of a little tlc but please don’t let this put you off..

It's always a job finding somewhere to eat in Aberaeron on a bank holiday Monday. But this place was open and serving food all day. It's a proper pub; nice people, nice pint, nice food. We'll be back.

Lovely home cooked food, dog friendly in all areas and cater to personal needs. We have 2 big dogs and they gave us plenty of space which was really nice and reassuring. It was well managed for how busy they were, will definitely come again when we return to Abararaeron

Friendly local, just had their homemade chicken curry after reading other recommendations. Good ale that I enjoyed after a 4.5 hour drive to spend a week here. Definitely coming in again during my stay

Popped in here as it had good reviews and is dog friendly. Chap behind the bar was lovely and welcoming. We did however, have to leave half way through eating due to one of the locals behaviour. We were sat near another couple that had their three year old son with them. Said local (a man named Carl originally from Bolton), threatened to rip the child’s teeth out and called me a monkey (I am half British, half Jamaican). The few bites of the food we had was fine, establishment is dog friendly. I wouldn’t recommend obviously because in 2023 you should be able to have a bite to eat without some local low life accosting people trying to enjoy their afternoon, threatening a child and being racist. Thankfully everyone else we have encountered on our visit to West Wales has been lovely.

Gammon & chips. Ok Gujons & chips. Ok 2 burgers are the worst I've ever eaten. Dry, pre-cooked, warm, zero charring, Brioche bun dryer that a nuns c###tch!! Table was more stickier than a night club floor!!! Cost £45 never again!! Maybe harsh, but that's my experience.

There's a lot of fancy restaurants in the area to choose from. This one though, from the outside, it looks like a locals only pub and is situated down a side ally. HOWEVER, they were the most friendly, welcoming people (staff and customers) and even reopened the kitchen to cook for the 9 of us. Now, about the food...we had selected most of the menu between us and EVERY SINGLE meal was awesome. To top it off, the prices are very reasonable too. Treat yourself. Would highly recommend 👌

Out standing my husband worked away and this was his local so took me to everyone went Friday and Saturday night so welcoming and the tunes that come out of the jukebox well different we no them and cos the atmosphere is amazing u find yourself on a Friday night in the pub singing along to Nellie the elephant lol

5 of us and a dog turned up at 2.30 on a rainy Thursday , very hungry and were greeted warmly and taken to a table in the restaurant area. The woodburner was lit and we had lovely home cooked meals. Couldn’t fault it actually....

So many pubs only open late in the week, or late in the day, many not serving food until the evenings, or not opening at all - so it was wonderful to find the Prince of Wales, quite unexpectedly. We had a warm welcome and it’s clearly very much a ‘locals’ pub, that served a couple of real ales, much to my husband’s pleasure. They obviously do a big trade in food, having a carvery on a Sunday. We thoroughly enjoyed our freshly cooked lunch, scampi and gammon - generous and very reasonably priced. Thanks so much!

A warm welcome, good food & plenty of it. The Sunday lunch carvery was good value & my husband enjoyed a pint of Double Dragon.

What can I say lovely staff very welcoming brilliant to get along with we made some amazing friends the food excellent 11 out of 10 service good banter even better and my two dogs were made very welcome also can't wait to go back again and take the old fossil with me the landlord will understand this comment!!!!

We stayed in Aberaeron for 5 days and went for a meal or a pint here every day Beer & Food excellent. Don’t be put off by the bar being small when you walk in 2 large rooms at the rear for sitting/eating. As for the staff excellent and the Landlord excellent bit of fun highly recommended
