Bad parking situation! Cold bathroom, with mold growth! The breakfast was miserable etc... In summary, more than disappointing!!!

Nice pub, nice staff - but the glasses are seriously stinking. They need a proper deep dishwasher clean!

I gave a 2 star review as the waitresses where very polite and happily helped us with our issues. Me and my sisters went for food here on Saturday night for my sisters birthday.. first I'd like to point out we were the only 4 people sitting in having food our food took ages to arrive. 3 of us ordered the lasagna and one of us ordered the spaghetti bolognes. On the food arriving all 3 lasagnas where burnt!! The spaghetti was undercooked the food was disgusting!! I was starving so I had to eat what I given.. 2 meals hadn't been touched apart from eating the 2 slices of garlic bread that came with the lasagna.. after having enough we refused to pay for the 2 meals that weren't eaten after a number of back and forwards from the waitress speaking with the manager we got asked to pay for 2 meals, our drinks and pay £5 for 4 slices of garlic bread!!! Which obviously was not going to happen. The lovely waitresses as hard as it was to deal with dealt with it very well and in the end we only paid for 2 of the meals and our drinks. Unfortunately would not recommend coming here for food, maybe for a drink at the bar yes but food is a massive NO NO!

Love this authentic pub and the nostalgic photos on the walls.Often pop in for a drink but today had Sunday lunch and it was supe! Choice of three meats and four desserts. The meal was excellent with plenty of vegetables and top up gravy. My dessert of bread and butter pudding was superb.Lastly friendly prompt service and two two course meals plus four drinks came to£38.We will be back

Service is good but food is poor. £8.80 for a halloumi & hummus wrap, & portion of fries which mostly went in the bin. Fries were poor, and hard once they'd cooled a tiny bit. They forgot the hummus, and the wrap tasted of salad cos there were 2 tiny slithers of cheese in it. Guessing they bank on ppl being too smashed to care. I wasn't 1 of them though. Shame.

What a fabulous experience we had yesterday . 7 of us plus our dog were very warmly welcomed . Treats for our pooch which was lovely . The food ( Sunday roast ) was simply stunning !! The best I've ever had 🤍🤍 The staff were very attentive . I kind of don't want too many people to know about this hidden gem 💎 Overall an absolutely wonderful time was had by all . Thank you so much 😁👍🤍🤍🤍

Popped in for an impromptu Monday visit after a long day at work. Staff were very friendly, the portions generous, well priced, and most importantly, tasty! Conversation in the car turned to "this pub is one I'd move house to be closer to" (about an hours walk currently). 100% is worth a visit if you're in the area.
