Kayleigh was very attentive while we dined at the harvester and made our experience 100x better. The food was delicious and we received it hot and in a timely manner. I would highly recommend.

Amazing food! Definitely improved since 2 years ago and amazing staff that's called Shantae & Tim. Tim is so hyperactive brings amazing energy to the harvester and definitely works well with Shantae as they always have a laugh and annoy eachother 😂

I visited for a business lunch. Service was good and reasonably fast, the food was OK, the price was OK. Nothing to complain about. Just like every other harvester.

I've been coming to this Harvester since it opened and my own children were teenagers. I've moved away now, but this week I took my daughter and grandson (aged 3) for an early dinner. Now, I don't expect a gourmet experience at Harvester and the food can be a little hit or miss, but I'm more than happy with the experience because the ambiance is always really friendly and the service on this occasion was superb! My little grandson was a bit boisterous when we arrived, but we were treated so well by our server, Tom, that littl'un settled down into the whole restaurant experience and tackled three courses with gusto. Tom was an utter star, making us laugh, making sure we had everything we needed and I also noticed him making other people's evening special- a conversation here, a joke there and a birthday cake presented with a flourish at a nearby table. Re the food- salad bar was replenished frequently and a good selection- my chicken was a bit dry and vegetable fingers a bit overcooked in places but completely edible, lovely yummy chips and the less good things could be overlooked as I spent precious time with my family and littl'un was made to feel very special. Thank you

Came in with my girlfriend and son we don't normaly go out for food but our waiter tim made our experience great fair play to him ive never received service like it before. He made sure we were all happy and even played with our son when he got a bit whingy . Everyone needs a tim in their company and will return soon just for him thank you so much

Had a meal yesterday evening. The service was amazing from when we arrived til we left. Special shout out to our waitress, Abi, who was attentative to all our requirements. Would highly recommend pontypool harvester

On arrival Our booking couldn’t be found, nearly an hour to wait for food to be served, drinks were wrong, unfriendly waitress. The Back door was open which resulted in cigarette smoke blowing through the restaurant. Overall I wouldn’t visit again, this place has really gone down hill since our last visit.

Our waiter whose name I believe was Mark, was brilliant. Very happy, friendly, down to earth, funny and clearly loved his job.

We had a lovely meal here! Our server Tom was brilliant, great with kids and patient with all of us as we were a big group.

What a lovely evening out. Fabulous food and our table waitress Courtney was so polite, friendly & lovely and always popping by to see how we were and was our food ok etc. This is only our 2nd visit to harvester pontypool and once again they didn't disappoint. Looking forward to coming back soon 😋😀

Tom is the best server; attentive and polite!

Tom is a wonderful server, he was very accommodating for our table,nothing was too much trouble, he's a credit to the company.

Terrible. Ignored my booking request to sit in bar area. Left me 10 minutes waiting to be sat even though I had a booking. Took me to restaurant area and sat me next to a big loud family with kids. I was by myself, why would you do that? Took another 10 minutes to take my order. Then didn't have pasta on salad bar. Awful.

Went here for food and noticed straight away that it looked busy. Warm welcome upon arrival, but no mention of any delays with food orders. Ordered food and then waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food. When it arrived, cold and overcooked!! Wouldn’t recommend this place but must say the staff were very friendly. Maybe it was a bad night and was just too busy but our experience wouldn’t encourage us to return.

Great Harvester if you love this chain, no problems.

Food over priced , salad bar not fresh

Great experience, but was so impressed with the menus the food the layout and the staff! No fuss and no messing about food was well prepared and tasty and also the service was spot on! Highly recommended and will use again thank you

2nd visit here now and just like the 1st time, great friendly and fast service, especially considering the time of day and year. The food was really tasty and well presented. I'd say the Pontypool Harvester is definitely worth a visit. *** Update for 10 August 24 *** Last minute decision to stop in on the way home from Pembroke. Basically, same review as before but a big thank you to Tom who looked after us. A really nice chap, nothing was too much even on what was clearly a busy shift for him. 💪

Staff were really friendly, happy and fun. The food was really tasty, and the salad was a winner as always. Kudos to our server for the pot of black pepper and the guy who got the ice machine working again!!

Food was cold missing half the order and portion sizes are too small for a toddler ridiculous I called to try and fix the issue and couldn’t get through 8 times and the 3 times I did they hung up on me

Great staff and a good atmosphere. Nice service and the food was all well cooked with decent portions. Our group of 8 was well looked after by Jess who was very attentive and efficient. Despite being busy at lunchtime the food was all delivered in a timely manner and enjoyed by all of us. Only one issue. The apple pie is awful. Thick, stodgy, wet microwaved pastry and a stingy filling. Yuck. However, apart from that, a very enjoyable visit. Thanks

On the positive side - good salad cart, ice offered for our water, outside area to sit and eat Need to improve - when an order is taken the staff member really should repeat the order back to the customer. When an order goes wrong, staff should be apologetic and should not 'lie' about the ability to provide a partial refund.

Had a lovely meal here whilst on holiday. Lillie our server was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Lost a star for an issue with drinks, but to be fair it was dealt with quickly.

Firstly this review isn't solely based on the staff. It's based on the whole experience and to be fair the staff tried their best. But was let down by numerous factors. I will. Bullet point to make easier. - booked table for 7.30pm to be told not ready at 7.30 and didn't get seated till 7.45 ish. Appreciate can happen - was told for 2 people when booked for 6.however to be told another booking with same name. Appreciate can happen. - food ordered about 7.50. And garlic bread was brought out around 8.30 with no meals to be seen. - 8.45 requested manager as still had no food to be told garlic bread was starter and food only gone through on system 15 mins ago. Even though ordered all together and over an hour earlier. - food then came about 9.10ish. Food was nice and cooked well however was really later. Manager only offered to remove garlic bread and drinks. Which I think was very poor compensation. - toilets were also very dirty and there was no toilet paper in any of the toilets.

Service was outstanding by my server Madison, she was polite, attentive to my table all other tables around us and made sure we had everything we needed. A professional restaurant where the atmosphere is lovely. My food was lovely, and cooked well the only problem I had was the bread for the burger completely disintegrated in my hands.

The late delivery wasn’t an issue but I was missing the mixed salad.

Very good food. The decor is a little corporate but otherwise delightful. It is a little expensive but again the quality of the food more than makes up for it. 9/10 would eat again.

Our hashbrowns were basically crisps and looked almost like they was rotten inside completely put us off our food

ordered an ultimate combo and paid extra for do7ble sage fries. order was missing pork belly, coleslaw and pulled pork and they only delivered single normal fries.. it won't allow me to submit my complaint either. very annoyed

Lovely food but not much choice for vegetarians especially if you aren't keen on halloumi. Having said this I loved the halloumi and their salad choice bar is lovely. The desserts were fabulous especially the children's make your own sundae.

Nice dining experience not like it used to be but enjoyed with no complaints.

This place hasn't been the same since the lockdown quality of the food went way downhill

Myself and 2 colleagues went for breakfast. Our Waitress was called Amy, and she was extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. There were no delays in taking our order and delivering our food which included a round of toast first of all with a selection of butter and jams and honey. The cooked breakfast itself was exceptional. Such a big portion, that I couldn’t finish it.

the chicken goujons were missing. If I didn't like Harvester so much, I wouldn't order off them any more as this is not the first time something was missing from my order. 2 orders ago it was the chips. Don't the check the orders before sending them out??

After a recent disappointment from another harvester I decided to visit pontypool. It was a quick service from the moment I got to the door, our server Lewis was polite and nothing was too much for him, he also engaged well with my autistic nephew. Our waiter today was Morgan, he was friendly & helpful throughout our dining experience today. Helped us with our discount code and was very knowledgeable regarding the menu. Pontypool venue is always our preferred choice. Good choice of salad bar. Food was served quickly and the efficiently.

Restaurant was pretty quiet but sadly this didn’t help the speed of our service nor did it put a smile on the face of the person serving us. Not sure of his name sorry. Earrings and a pink highlight to his hair. Sullen probably best describes him. Delays waiting for our mains meant crispy inedible flatbreads. We could see our meals for over 5 mins sat waiting to be brought to our table. Seems to me more serving staff would be a good shout. Only 2 covering a large area isn’t ideal (worth noting the other server was fab, polite and smiley and eager. Top marks to him)

Had a great experience eating and having drinks here. the young girl on the bar Elyse she was spectacular and always made sure we had everything we needed, cannot say enough good things about this young girl! I will definitely be coming back soon.

Visited the pontypool harvester this evening and was served by Jess. She was absolutely fantastic, considering how busy it was, nothing was too much trouble.

Salad bar needs replenishing more often as some were completely empty also no names on the sauces. The bread rolls are of a poor quality. The food itself is still very good. The staff are very accommodating.
