Really surprised to be saying this but food delivered turned up slightly warm went cold quickly. It's so disappointing

Rat in or eat out the same great food and service.

Ordered via the website for delivery. Had the GF cod & Chips and a normal portion of cod and chips. Highly recommend, food was hot and tasty delivered very quickly! The Gluten free meals were also packaged separately which I really appreciated. Cannot fault.

Enjoyed my first meal in the Restaurant this week, service was excellent, as was the food. Had the scampi with chips and peas. All cooked to order, chips not at all greasy. Drinks served in a glass ( not cans ) Tartar sauce in a packet.....but was ok. Could have had salad instead of chips as an alternative....all in all 8.5/10, very good lunch.

Pages Cwmbran taking a ridiculous decision to not allow 50p child portion dips. They do kids meals but only now with an adult size dip. Not sure the rationale on this but the front of shop asked the management who confirmed only an adult size portion is applicable with a kids meal. Ridiculous. We have eaten two meals in the restaurant in the last week alone. This decision doesn't make sense as the girl on front of shop showed me they have the smaller dips size it's just management we're having a tough line on something so small. Guarantee won't be coming back as went around the corner and explained Pages position and obliged a small container of curry at a reduced price. Seems like other management are keen on nearly a thousand pounds of business from this family every year. Well done Pages management. Well done. Kudos to your business acumen.

The food tastes ok but cold sausage and gravy like water

Ordered 3 pints of pepsi max , arrived some time later , something floating in one , they all didn't taste right , and totally flat , was taken back , waitress return once asked if cans were OK, she commented that she had tried the drinks and they were all fine , then commented I'm not calling you all lies, first visit , never again food was average, but made to feel awful , other tables had wrong orders and was told it's what you order , bill was wrong , so paid n left

Unfortunately had a very bad experience today, the fish (which is normally white and fresh) was either uncooked or not fresh. It was pink instead of white and didn't taste very nice at all. Won't be going again.

Food was 1hr late......cold...items missing....not the best.

Our first visit there, the service was very good. We had to wait a little while but we were in no rush, so it wasn't a problem! Their food was good , we'd definitely go back.

Disappointing :( I had ordered a certain sauce in my last order and this order, both times they were wrong. I didn’t want to complain the first time as I believed it may have just been a small mistake. Both orders were made online for delivery. This time i had called and asked if the correct sauce was brought. Kindly it was delivered quickly however it was still wrong? I have attached a photo. I had ordered Irish, but sent Chinese. I have ordered with this store previously and have always enjoyed the food as it’s always been delicious. I’m just a bit disappointed that it seems a lack of attention was made for my order. I usually order Irish sauce, so I believe what i received was wrong. Hopefully this won’t happen again as I do enjoy ordering from Page’s :) The photo attached is the second sauce i received.

Waited over 20 minutes for my food as they forgot about my order even though i was stood in the shop, I ordered a lasagne expecting it to be homemade as they have a restaurant on the premises and it turned out to be what looked and tasted like a 1 pound ready meal, i paid £5.95 absolutely disgusting , im more annoyed with myself for not demanding my money back.what a shambles. The lady serving could see i was annoyed and all she said was sorry do you want a couple of chips, what a joke she shouldn't of even asked me she should of either just given me something free or taken money off my order.

Great for a place to go in the dark cold winter to have warm food beautifully cooked. Salad was fresh and tasted great. Grilled sea bass winner and yes you can have battered fish and chips that taste equally as good.

Perfect restaurant for all occasions, we come here at any given opportunity. Amazing food, great service and great prices. Shannen is a credit to the company.

Came here for my mother’s birthday and I must say the staff were amazing and friendly, our server Shannen was amazing and couldn’t be more helpful! The food came hot and was absolutely delicious!! This has to be one of the top spots in Cwmbran so make sure to check it out!!

Earlier today, I placed an order for delivery from Pages, as I often do because I’ve always enjoyed their food and service. I ordered two fish and chips meals, one with mushy peas and one with curry. The order arrived in a timely manner; however, upon opening it, I realized that the curry had been replaced with gravy. I called the store to explain the issue and requested a delivery of the correct item, as we live quite close to the shop. Unfortunately, the response was dismissive, with staff stating, “Ah well, it’s only curry, isn’t it.” When I then asked for a partial refund, as the mix-up had affected the meal, this was also declined at first. After some back-and-forth, they eventually agreed to refund the price of the curry only, which I reluctantly accepted. Shortly after, I was shocked to see a social media post from the owner, Shannen Thompson, accusing us of shouting, swearing, and even requesting the personal addresses of staff—claims that are completely untrue and, frankly, absurd. This experience has left us extremely disappointed. While mistakes happen, good businesses take responsibility and handle them with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, the way this situation was managed—particularly the behavior on social media—was childish and uncalled for. It’s a shame because we genuinely enjoyed ordering from Pages in the past, but after this experience, we won’t be returning.

Brilliant food and brilliant service I had Chilli rice and chips. Might have to call again tomorrow. My partner had the lasagne. I might have to call the day after tomorrow to have that. Food was stunning and Libby was brilliant as out waitress. Thanks

Slow service, cheap produce. Hard lumps and grissel in the sausages, battered sausage with virtually no batter, must be using the cheapest sausages out there. Fish not brilliant, but a little better than their competitors across the road. OK for just a bag of chips.

The food is good, but the service leaves something to be desired. I've experienced several instances where I've had to wait over 10 minutes to get my food, which can be quite frustrating when you're left standing around.

We visited Pages for a family birthday meal recently, and everything was spot on! The waitress was charming and attentive. The service was fantastic considering we were a large party. And the food was delicious! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and can’t wait to go back.

Came here tonight with family for my father in laws birthday and couldn't fault the staff or the food, 15 of us and all the food came out one after the other fresh, hot and delicious staff couldn't of been any more helpful

Terrible, ordered for delivery 25 minutes late, food cold, soggy batter on fish and sausages, will not be ordering or going there again.

Avoid at all costs, terrible, order placed at 7pm told delivery would be 8.30, after 2 phone calls food arrived at 8.45 part of order was missing, rang back and told they would send it straight up, 3 phone calls later rest of order arrived at 9.30, son now very hungry, weird twang to chips and mostly not edible, food awful, service even worse, no attempt to rectify situation highly disappointed won't use again ☹️

Never had a problem with pages, but.tonight food was delivered cold..they were busy, as its bonfire night,which I understand,but we paid a lot of money and looking forward to food although late,which we were informed.but fairplay they have refunded and I really appreciate that understanding

Regular customer for a number of years. Recently noticed food quality has changed. Also recently attended and waited over 30 minutes for food which is unusual, also quiet. Was later told waitress did not process order. No apology from her on leaving. Food quality and portion not as they were before. Won’t be rushing back which is sad to say, as we look forward to food here when in Cwmbran.

Thought we would order Home delivery. Bad move,Food was delivered late and stone cold. And Fish portions have decreased somewhat!! We will pick up in future.

Have visited Pages many times in the past and have always given a five star rating Sadly, today’s meal was nowhere the quality we have enjoyed previously My wife had the Cod and chips with mushy peas, I went for the haddock and chips wick a chip shop curry The chips were a mess on both meals, the cod and haddock’s batter was not crispy at all It was very dabby, l should have said something to young lady who served us , but didn’t want to cause a fuss Such a shame really, as now Mr Chippy is closed, Pages will have a massive influx of customers, so I would have thought Place was busy today, but food served was nowhere near as good as it was previously We won’t be returning for a while

A massive thank you to Shannon and her amazing team at Pages fish and chip restaurant. We recently had our wedding reception here and it couldn’t have gone better. The food was amazing and the team did all of our decor for us so that we wouldn’t have to worry prior to the wedding. The attention to detail was perfect and the service was absolutely brilliant. The team went over and above to make our special day special. I can’t thank you all enough. Our day was perfect ❤️

We’ve had a wonderful evening at pages! So much fish on offer! This place is the Rolls Royce of Fish & Chip Shops! The food was gorgeous! The service was excellent and the atmosphere to match! The fish is prepared fresh and you can choose to have your fish in multiple ways! There’s even a swordfish on offer :) Shannon, our waitress went above and beyond! 10/10 for Shannon! Definitely recommend to all passing through Cwmbrân!

Went there because Mr chippy closed.Ive been before and over the years seen the quality decline.we had cod and chips from takeaway but it was more like overcooked batter and very little cod Total rip off the minimum amount of cod in the batter was dry.. Unfortunately with the demise of mr Chippy they are going to get extra trade but wit this awful quality they will soon lose it

Ordered a fish and chip dinner for collection. When we opened the meal and started eating we noticed that the food was gritty when chewing the chips. On closer inspection of the chips we noticed there was deposits of soil still in and on the chips. We didn’t hesitate and bined the whole meals. I’ve photographed the soil on the chips for everyone to see. We won’t be going back here for food again.

So this is the last time I buy from here after being caught a couple of times before with bad food, chips were cold and mushy, sausage in batter was cold, and the chicken curry very sweet and tasteless, never again!

We eat here for gluten free options but the last few months the food has been awful. Chips are always greasy to the point its all you taste, like an old oil taste. Cheese is now like plastic (texture & taste) Food was cold this time, even though it was apparently cooked fresh. Some staff are friendly, some not so. Always a wait for food too.

Dissatisfied tonight. Ordered a scheduled delivery that turned up cold, incorrect and 20 minutes early. Requested no spring onions and received rather a lot of them. The cheese hadn’t melted even a little bit on the other portion so it was clearly put on cold chips and being 20 minutes early the food I was cooking to go with wasn’t ready. Only gave 3 stars because our only previous experience was much better otherwise it would be one star.

Had beautiful fish and chips today,the waitress Libby was very helpful even tho the restaurant was really busy and really hot with the weather being beautiful. Definitely go back eoon

Met friends for lunch today, I ordered chips fish bites & mushy peas. The fish bites were square shaped which I thought was bizarre! They were extremely greasy & tasteless, chips were pale, cold & hard and although the peas weren't bad they must have been dished out with a teaspoon! Very disappointed with this food as I was so looking forward to it, and, as a final insult when I went to pay I found out that the small glass of blackcurrant & soda cost me £2.95!!! Not sure how that in any way can be justified? I visited a local pub yesterday & was charged 50p for exactly the same drink. Safe to say I won't be returning.

Customers behind me were served while I waited for my fish cakes meaning the chips then ran out by the time they had got around to serving me again. Just under 30 minutes in total spent in the shop, I cancelled my order, although I do believe they just finished cooking more chips again. Customer were also ignored and not communicated to while two servers carried on cleaning. A really disappointing experience, happy to wait but really not happy to see my chips being given to other customer that were behind me on the queue to then have to wait again.

We've not been here for a while for no other reason than we've been busy with other things. We went this evening and have to say, it was a great experience. The new menu includes a hake steak which I chose and totally loved! The OH had the usual cod and we both had Sidoli Sundaes to follow. Brilliant service and a lovely, buzzy atmosphere made it a great evening.

Haven’t visited pages before and the women serving, Tina and Tracy I believe, was absolutely great! Although I was a slightly annoying customer , adding to my order whilst it was being prepared, they were laughing and joking with us and made me and my partner laugh, loved them ladies, although they may not want to see me again I would definitely return because of them :) haha

Me and my friend meet once a month here for a catch up and again not disappointed was very very busy but the waitresses was very pleasant and helpful even though they was short staffed and rushed off there feet food was lovely as usual keep up the good work guys!!

Popped in today for a take away dinner. Staff very chatty and helpful and recommended loaded fries. So glad I listened to them. Absolutely stunning. Just the right amount of chicken and sauce with the chips. Couldn't finish it all absoulty stuffed. Can wait to go back with family next and have a sit down meal. Thank you so much 5 out of 5

Very disappointed. Had take away fish and chips. It was barely warm. The fish was chewy. Chucked it in the bin. The lady that served us looked miserable. No way will we go there ever again.

Just had delivery 20min late, really poor quality place and chips clumped together in cardboard tray, cheese to go on chips a molten glob in the corner of a tub very small portion, chips clumped together and very average. £26 wasted. Had food once before much better, whoever was cooking and packing needs retraining won't buy again

Thought we would try Page's as my husband is coeliac and requires Gluten Free diet which Page's said they cater for. Didn't wait too long for our good but chips were cold when they arrived at the table. We ordered GF curry sauce which didn't arrive with food. I had to ask waiter for the curry sauce Waited further 10 mins Unfortunately my husband has been ill since returning home. I assume it was not GF curry sauce given to him. Won't be returning

Been coming here for years. The last time we ate here (last year) we were disappointed but decided to try again today. The girls serving were pleasant as they always are but the service from the kitchen was so so slow. The couple next to us had waited so long they asked for it to be take away. In the end they had to go back to work without eating, calling back later to collect it. My husband was disappointed with his hake and chips. I had fishcake which was very dry. Sorry to say we probably won't be eating here again.

The cod was awful, batter thin and soggy yet burnt in places, the burnt taste permeated through the fish. Chips were pasable .they should have been after the customer in front of me complained they were dry and hard then we had to wait 5 minutes to cook a new batch. I was going to ask for a refund but didn't have time to argue. Staff were innatentive and all over the place. Waste of money DO NOT GO THERE.

Visited here last Thursday, chips tasted like they had been reheated not nice at all, one of our party had sea bass that was over cooked. The food took ages to come even though it wasn't that busy when we went in. We did mention it when paying and they took the cost of our drinks off the bill. This is the second time the chips were disappointing the other time they were cold.

Called there Saturday 9pm arrived home to find food was cold hard had to be thrown away disgusting do not recommend

Went there especially for gluten free food as their gluten free menu is very good but when I arrived home they hadn’t put the sausages in so rung them, they promised to send them out but an hour later we are still waiting, chips and curry are now freezing so had to cook food anyway. They were very nice and polite but service not very good.

One of the reason I'm scoring so high. Is the people in there are outstanding. Helping in anyway possibly.. came in late and they cook me a new lot with out saying nothing . The cooks are kind as well as the rest. Would and going back again.

I have never been to a fish and chip shop that has a reception and a full blown bar before. Nice and clean inside with friendly staff, didn't wait long for food either. It was difficult to choose what to have because there is so much variety, I can tell you the swordfish was excellent. Anyone leaving less than 4 stars for this place is out of their mind and should get a grip on their life.

Was the best fish and Chip restaurant within 50 miles and still is most of the time. Food here can be perfect or sometimes not hot enough. Food quality is good. We like sitting upstairs but in the winter can be cold and in summer too hot. It is annoying to hear the phone ringing unanswered. Price OK for perfect fish and chips.

The chips tasted like cardboard and the fish and sausage were not far off either. I was really looking forward to this but ruined my Friday night. You guys need to do better. A simple classic recipe and you’ve managed to butcher it.

Have been a fan of Pages for a few years both sit in and collect / delivered the Irish curry has been a favourite dish but lately it has far too much salt for our taste !

Great place to eat good quality fish and chips. Plenty of choice and a warm welcome . Easily accessible with good parking. Stairs to extra dining space upstairs. Ground floor dining space available too. A takeaway service is on offer or dine in. I really enjoyed the whitebait and the sea bass while my husband enjoyed the calamari followed by cod and chips. Would highly recommend and will be returning soon. Thank you to the kind staff x
