The Staff were very friendly, Food is very good value for money.

Large Wetherspoon venue. Standard menu and good ale choice with usual good value.

The way the bouncers treat neurodiverse people is absolutely shocking. I support an adult who told me about his and his friends experience. They shouldn't have been treated the way they were.

Prince of Wales is great when comparing Wetherspoons. The pub is situated in an old theatre and the interior is quite aesthetically pleasing.

Came here a few times for drinks over the weekend while staying in city. Typical spoons food n drink. Table service was handy during busy periods. Pub had some interesting decor having used to be a theatre some time ago.

Service was fantastic. Food was nice except chips were a little undercooked. Didnt sell steak which is disappointing.Other than that i cant complain. I reccomend the lemon&herb chicken👍

We called in here for a few drinks and the place was really busy. We were lucky enough to find a table, but the service at the bar was very slow.

I am making a complaint in the way my son and his friends were treated. They are autistic and have special needs they came to have a meal and a drink and just have a nice time. One of the bouncers stopped my sons friend. He took the drink off him and threw his drink on the floor and the bouncer swear at my sons friend this behaviour from your staff is well out of order. My son and friend are so upset about it all they wanted to do is have a nice time. I would like some feed back as to know how this has been dealt with No one deserves to be treated in this way really discusscusting.

What a shame, that security guard won't let my deaf friend in cos of his disability, shame on you for not having a disability deaf-blind awareness, sort yourselves out!!! Clearly making out that's you know aware of disability and deafness, what a false!

Didn't eat, Had a drink. Amazing surroundings. Bar staff were lovely. Gave us the history of the place. An ex-theatre. I came here as a teenager when it was a club called Ceasers. Fun to return!

I had a very enjoyable afternoon at the 'Prince of Wales', which was situated close to the main public transport links. There was an excellent choice of Real Ales on offer for under £2.00 a pint and a very good choice of standard food dishes at extremely reasonable prices, along with great service. Given that it was a Friday afternoon, the venue was very busy, which made for a great atmosphere.

It's a Spoons. Staff were friendly, but very busy. The food varied from nice to not good enough. Based on my experience I would suggest you avoid the burgers. The boneless chicken was good.

For the price it's great value and love that they keep the old theatre vibe.

Large Breakfast was awful. Both Eggs cold and solid. You could count the beans (very few) Bacon could not be cut thinner! Nothing was HOT. The toast was the bes thing if anything. Awful for the cost.

‘It does what it says on the tin’ & staff are very nice. It’s nice to pay £5.90 for two large glasses of wine & not £9 for ONE which is common in many local pubs. Food is OK but to be fair it’s much better at the Queens Vault & the Blue Bell !

Lovely grand old theatre, loads of space and great staff.

Almost right outside the train and bus station, just at the beginning of the vibrant city centre. It is a sprawling building across 2 floors and was filled to the brim with people. Had a standard pub fare with the usual wetherspoon rates. But what stood out was that it's a converted theatre, a building i haven't seen used some other way before. You can see the stage rigging, and the remains of the different circles of seating. Must visit it if you're in cardiff and looking to grab a quick drink.

Brilliant Wetherspoons, best I've been in,there is another one but never tried it.

My fish was probably re-heated, dry, overcooked, disappointing. The staff were lovely, but our table was not cleared after 3 hours.

This was our second eating at this location. Service was as quick and prompt. Food portions are more than adequate - had the fish and chips and a beer. The price was reasonable. Unfortunately the fries were a tad underdone - not so crisp. But overall good value.

Good breakfast here - eggs Benny were delicious and the ham on it was wonderful. But it was quite the serve yourself affair, everything from ordering to coffee and condiments, and of course it was quite a pubby surrounding for breakfast. (side note: they really need to put signs on the north doors that people should use the nearby door instead, as I watched people over and over try to use this locked door)

Pretty good. Lots of tables!! Toilets are all the way downstairs which quite a long walk especially if you're sat upstairs 😭😭

Time and time again I come here without doubt the best managed Wetherspoons in the UK I have been to over 100 and is great

Great place, great atmosphere, big screens for the sports also with good table service. Staff always happy to help.

Typical Spoons pub. Staff were ok. Only had a couple of pints. I took the time to check which real ales were showing on the bar before I ordered on the app only to be told the beer I chose wasn't available anymore. Checked again and although the pump badge was still showing and it was still showing available on the app it wasn't available. Pump badges need to be turned around when the beer goes off and the app should be updated.

One of the better, and more attractive Wetherspoons on Cardiff. Service very slow, better using the app, and they kept running out of pint glasses!!

A great Spoons, food arrived quickly as ordered. Not quite piping hot, hence 4 stars, very tasty though. Clean and friendly place.

Visited in August Location is fab. Interior even better. Scampi and chips and 2 chicken burgers and chips. Service was quick, Just what you expect from a wetherspoons.

The place was heaving, but we still managed to get seats. Using the app we got our drinks quickly

My friends and I came in, and we couldn't understand where we could sit. When we finally found a place, the waiters ignored us, so we called them to clean our tables, and they only cleaned 2 out of 5. Even after a second request, they wouldn't clean and were very rude. Ordering is very complicated, and the food is not abundant in portions and not so good. The service is shockingly bad (like they continuously brought us wrong orders), and waiters are always unavailable. A vegetarian friend of mine was brought a plate with chicken, and they brought the right order just when everyone had finished. The tomato hamburger had a quarter of a slice of tomato. I'm appalled. The only good thing was the location, and it wasn't even clean.

This place is big, lots of room , ground and 1st floor, the food was really good and fair price, impressive building as well.

A busier spoons, quite noisy with slow service because of volume of customers. Also slightly higher prices because of city centre location. Old cinema so plenty of interesting original features

I can safely say this was the best restaurant to have a breakfast while we been in Cardiff. It was in a very close proximity of the hotel we stayed at, the atmosphere there was enjoyable, although it was quite busy. The food was fresh and served really fast considering the amount of people present. We barely found a table in our first day, so you can imagine. I definitely recommend if you're in search for a quick meal, plenty of dishes to choose from as well.

We walked miles to look for a meal with gravy, only to have to order either fish, burgers or pork sausages. When we found out that other wetherspoons were nearby were doing pies and mash, what a waste of a holiday meal.

This pub is more for a rowdy experience rather than a quiet drink.

Packed on a Saturday afternoon/evening in the summer in Cardiff. Cheap food and drink and great atmosphere. Just what you want before hitting the other pubs and clubs

What a lovely interior! Sat upstairs by window to watch the world go by. Food was easy to order on the app and came quickly. Panini was tasty but lacked any presentation, looked like it was thrown on a plate and someone thought that'll do!

I've been to a number of Wetherspoons in the past but in this one I thought the portions were smaller. Don't know whether this is the case in all of them today.

Good food, good prices, great location, and since the referb is no longer worthy of its "Prince of Sails" nickname. Winner

This is worth a visit for the interior which is stunning. They have kept a lot of the old Prince of Wales Theatre. Otherwise the food was mediocre and the service poor. Not as good as others that we have visited

I am not fussy eater so maybe I'm over generous with my rating and the only reason it wasn't a five star is because the food was a bit cold but I had a belly full of beer so it could have been served of a tramps flip flop and I would have inhaled it! The staff were very busy but still made time to check we were all good and were friendly. It was great atmosphere there on a sunny day in Cardiff

On saturdays the food price rises to absurd amounts. For exemple, a Pizza worth 8 pounds is on Saturdays 13 pounds. A wrap worth 4 pounds on Saturdays is 8 pounds. Horrible!!!

My god. I can't put into words how hideous my breakfast was. I have visions of it being swept up off the floor it was that bad. Freezing cold, eggs completely crucified, bacon was shrivvled up like a snotty tissue and the toast had obviously been hanging out the top of the toaster as half of it was bread whilst the other half was like tarmac. Never again. Anyway, come on Robert Lambert!!

Incredibly poor customer service, accidentally ordered to the wrong site, I understand that it was our mistake however, we quickly went to the bar to speak to a manger to rectify the situation. The member of bar staff who was supposedly a manager told us there was nothing they can do and we had to either call or go to the other site. So we thought we’ll take the loss and called the other site and told them we were walking over. I wouldn’t have been that bothered however when we got to the other Wetherspoons we were massively under- portioned, was stone cold and did not revive what we ordered. As people who work in hospitality and deal with this sort of issue on the daily, this was incredibly disappointing. We would like this further looked into.

Great surroundings, interesting layout for a 'spoons, and plenty of tables. Many food items unavailable, but it was a very busy time with a big event in town. Service still quick.

Despite the busy Saturday night, the service was excellent and the food was terrific.

The staff in all spoons are great, but Friday evening it was so full of people going to see billy joel. I've never seen so many serving behind a bar they were All so efficient no one waited more than a minute. Everything was spot on.

The drinks are incredibly cheap but this was a nightmare for us. Shoulder to shoulder, nowhere to sit and impossible to have a conversation without shouting. I am sure many love it, but sorry, not us!

Just went in for a drink, found a table which was full of dishes and glasses asked a member of staff if he would clear the table he smiled and did it straight away, couldn't fault him at all .

What a stunning place. You can always depend on Wetherspoons to restore significant cultural and historical buildings and save them from ruin. Always depend on Wetherspoons for a decent pint of Stella in a handy spot in any city and this one did not disappoint.

Great food however experienced ruined due to rude security calling my girlfriend fat and her outfit inappropriate while allowing a woman only wearing a bra and short in.

I ordered a brunch, it came quite quickly, unfortunately my eggs were all but mashed up. I asked for 2 fresh eggs, the waitress was very nice and took my plate. I didn't wait long for my meal, my eggs were lovely this time but the rest of my meal was cold. I ate it and it tasted lovely, if only it had been hotter. I didn't say anything again that time because l was hungry. We will go again, it's a lovely place to eat.

Love weatherspoon pubs and hotels good atmosphere cheap drinks and happy vibes but on this occasion I was served what looked like a goldfish sized piece of cod with chips and peas I thought I was ordering a large cod but to my suprise it was small I mean I have bigger fish in my aquarium very disappointed on this occasion as I seemed to be the only one with the goldfish sized piece I asked for a large I paid for large so in the end I got large and a free drink but it shouldn't have been served to me in the first place it is the first time that I have had to return food in a weather spoons pub I hope it's the last

This is a beautiful pub in the heart of Cardiff, it can go from quiet to rammed within minutes. Every time I've been staff have been friendly and polite. Place is quite clean. Food was the normal spoons standard.
