Fabulous meal with friends in a lovely atmosphere. The Truffle chicken I would very much recommend, and there was lots of it so very filling. My friend had the vegan dish and was saying how much she enjoyed it all night. Staff were fiendly but took some time to clear the table and they were not really that busy. The only real downside was that they had sold out of a lot of varieties of white wine from a busy night the day before, which I did think they would have had time to replenish stock.

We were in Llanidloes area sorting my mum’s house out and just wanted somewhere to have a breakfast and evening meal….. we were welcomed by landlady Clare who was super friendly and accommodating… we had our key and our room was everything we needed for our stay, we had everything we needed even down to a fan, the room was lovely and warm as we opened the door on a cold evening , we unpacked and went down to the bar and asked if we can have food and promptly had a table … all staff were very friendly and polite and the food was delicious 😋 we stayed 6 nights but sadly was not told that no food is served on a Sunday/Monday.James (chef ) the landlord was friendly and always came to talk and chat with us both after service which is important. Our first breakfast was lovely - Clare was very welcoming and so lovely to talk to . Would we recommend The Mount Inn ? 💯 😊 we did meet many locals and they were lovely and friendly 🥰 and we will be back 👍 We are from South West Wales and it’s so lovely to be in such a welcoming atmosphere just like home 🏠the only issue we had was the the tv reception which I did mention to Clare( I love my soaps ) was bad due to recent storms which is totally understandable Diolch🥰 Vickie a Phil x

Absolutely delicious food, and an interesting menu both at lunch and dinner. The staff were all friendly and attentive, especially the hosts who made us feel very welcome. The views are spectacular and there’s even a comfy bar area for cosy before/after dinner drinks.

Annemarie and Rob are such friendly host! No effort was too much to create a marvelous experience for us. We walked the Offa’s Dayke Path and had our best sleep and bedfast at the Tafarn y Wean. Beds are very comfy and clean and we had a choice of 3 kinds of breakfast. We choose the scrambled eggs with salmon and also the granola yoghurt and croissant. Both were delicious and kept us on our feet the whole way to Prestatyn

Me and my wife had Sunday lunch today service was very good food was very good but a bit cold and there didn’t seem to be any heat on were we were sitting it was very cold the only thing we didn’t like was they charged a 10% service charge I didn’t notice until later about this charge ,they had no advice on there menu or anywhere in this pub they should have a sign somewhere letting people know about this service charge I always like to leave a tip for the waitress but this place they seem to like to keep it for themselves we shan’t be going again for food. The 10% service charge I thought was just for food but they take it for food and drink

Lovely location, spoilt by the bar man and the wine…. I ordered a Pinot Grigio and when my husband brought it outside to me I questioned the colour of it (it was dark yellow)… tasted it and it was awful. So I took it back to the bar, to be confronted by a barman who said there was nothing wrong with the wine and it just wasn’t to my taste. No… this wine is awful, and not a Pinot Grigio. He showed me the bottle and said that nobody else that day had a problem with the wine so it’s just me. I asked for an alternative, so ordered a Sauvignon Blanc… which he poured and then tried to charge me £8.20. No, I am not paying for this, the first wine was not fit for consumption… again he said it’s my taste that’s the problem. I asked to speak to the manager, to which he just pointed to himself. I then asked for a refund on the Pinot. He then agreed to do this, and so popped a refund on his card machine. (I am yet to receive the refund but acknowledge that it can take a day or two)…. And then I paid for the new wine… This would of all been a lot easier if he had just exchanged the wine rather than go through the farce of me asking for a refund and then repaying for the new wine… The toilets were a disgrace, the hot tap doesn’t work, and the toilet barely flushes… Such a shame as the pub is in a lovely location.
