Chips were awful in comparison to their usual offering but I have to review it on my experience on this visit. If I go again and the food is better then will review on that basis too. A while ago I mentioned how dark it was by the exit..glad to say that this is now not the case

Booked for a Sunday lunch , sadly the food was not as we hoped , every meal came out separately over a long period of time , portions were very small and looked like frozen vege. Vegetarian option of quorn sausages ( Linda McCartney) the only good thing is that the staff are lovely . We ate here a few months ago and the food was lovely, not sure what's happened since , such a shame .

We spent a few days here as part of a special birthday celebration. Our hosts, Angela and Brian, were so friendly and considerate. They couldn't do enough for us to make our stay most memorable. The hotel was warm and cosy with a roaring g log fire. The food was delicious and of a very high standard which all added to the enjoyment of our special event. The situation of the hotel is stunning. If you want a restful and peaceful stay with excellent food and hospitality then we would certainly recommend that you visit this lovely hotel. Pauline and Ian

A party of 3 adults popped in for roast dinners. The place was light and airy, with views of the garden centres plants. We visited due to recommendations. My expectation grew as I read the mission station on the wall, stating fresh locally provided ingredients was their ethos. However, the tasteless veg appeared to be cooked from frozen and the beef was some form of processed meat. Contrary to their mission statement. The service was memorable to say the least. The highlight was when one member of waiting staff creeped up to the table and barked out ‘do you want anything else.’ Not would you like to view our dessert menu, or like another drink, perhaps! Then with an angry looking face, she cleared the table. Conclusion. A restaurant it’s not; a cafe most probably. Expensive not, but when compared to locally situated pubs etc, it was poorer quality of Faye at a higher price.
